Berean Standard BibleKing James Version

1. Carry One Another’s Burdens

2. 1BSBBrothers, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.KJVKJV: Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
3. 2BSBCarry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.KJVKJV: Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
4. 3BSBIf anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.KJVKJV: For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
5. 4BSBEach one should test his own work. Then he will have reason to boast in himself alone, and not in someone else.KJVKJV: But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
6. 5BSBFor each one should carry his own load.KJVKJV: For every man shall bear his own burden.
7. 6BSBNevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word must share in all good things with his instructor.KJVKJV: Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
8. 7BSBDo not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return.KJVKJV: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
9. 8BSBThe one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.KJVKJV: For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
10. 9BSBLet us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.KJVKJV: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
11. 10BSBTherefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.KJVKJV: As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

12. Final Warnings and Blessings

13. 11BSBSee what large letters I am using to write to you with my own hand!KJVKJV: Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.
14. 12BSBThose who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. They only do this to avoid persecution for the cross of Christ.KJVKJV: As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
15. 13BSBFor the circumcised do not even keep the law themselves, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.KJVKJV: For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
16. 14BSBBut as for me, may I never boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.KJVKJV: But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
17. 15BSBFor neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. What counts is a new creation.KJVKJV: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
18. 16BSBPeace and mercy to all who walk by this rule, even to the Israel of God.KJVKJV: And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
19. 17BSBFrom now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.KJVKJV: From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
20. 18BSBThe grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.KJVKJV: Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
