10. 9BSBFor He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.KJVKJV: For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
11. 10BSBSome sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and chains,KJVKJV: Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
12. 11BSBbecause they rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High.KJVKJV: Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
13. 12BSBHe humbled their hearts with hard labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.KJVKJV: Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
14. 13BSBThen they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress.KJVKJV: Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
15. 14BSBHe brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke away their chains.KJVKJV: He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
16. 15BSBLet them give thanks to the LORD for His loving devotion and His wonders to the sons of men.KJVKJV: Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
17. 16BSBFor He has broken down the gates of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.KJVKJV: For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
18. 17BSBFools, in their rebellious ways, and through their iniquities, suffered affliction.KJVKJV: Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
19. 18BSBThey loathed all food and drew near to the gates of death.KJVKJV: Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
20. 19BSBThen they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress.KJVKJV: Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
21. 20BSBHe sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the Pit.KJVKJV: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
22. 21BSBLet them give thanks to the LORD for His loving devotion and His wonders to the sons of men.KJVKJV: Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
23. 22BSBLet them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing.KJVKJV: And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
24. 23BSBOthers went out to sea in ships, conducting trade on the mighty waters.KJVKJV: They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
25. 24BSBThey saw the works of the LORD, and His wonders in the deep.KJVKJV: These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
26. 25BSBFor He spoke and raised a tempest that lifted the waves of the sea.KJVKJV: For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
27. 26BSBThey mounted up to the heavens, then sunk to the depths; their courage melted in their anguish.KJVKJV: They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
28. 27BSBThey reeled and staggered like drunkards, and all their skill was useless.KJVKJV: They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
29. 28BSBThen they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress.KJVKJV: Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
30. 29BSBHe calmed the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea were hushed.KJVKJV: He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
31. 30BSBThey rejoiced in the silence, and He guided them to the harbor they desired.KJVKJV: Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

35. 34BSBand fruitful land into fields of salt, because of the wickedness of its dwellers.KJVKJV: A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
36. 35BSBHe turns a desert into pools of water and a dry land into flowing springs.KJVKJV: He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
37. 36BSBHe causes the hungry to settle there, that they may establish a city in which to dwell.KJVKJV: And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
38. 37BSBThey sow fields and plant vineyards that yield a fruitful harvest.KJVKJV: And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
39. 38BSBHe blesses them, and they multiply greatly; He does not let their herds diminish.KJVKJV: He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
40. 39BSBWhen they are decreased and humbled by oppression, evil, and sorrow,KJVKJV: Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
41. 40BSBHe pours out contempt on the nobles and makes them wander in a trackless wasteland.KJVKJV: He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
42. 41BSBBut He lifts the needy from affliction and increases their families like flocks.KJVKJV: Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
43. 42BSBThe upright see and rejoice, and all iniquity shuts its mouth.KJVKJV: The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
