1. The Throne in Heaven

2. 1BSBAfter this I looked and saw a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had previously heard speak to me like a trumpet was saying, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after these things.”KJVKJV: After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
3. 2BSBAt once I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne standing in heaven, with someone seated on it.KJVKJV: And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
4. 3BSBThe One seated there looked like jasper and carnelian, and a rainbow that gleamed like an emerald encircled the throne.KJVKJV: And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
5. 4BSBSurrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and on these thrones sat twenty-four elders dressed in white, with golden crowns on their heads.KJVKJV: And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

6. Worship of the Creator

7. 5BSBFrom the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. Before the throne burned seven torches of fire. These are the seven spirits of God.KJVKJV: And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
8. 6BSBAnd before the throne was something like a sea of glass, as clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, covered with eyes in front and back.KJVKJV: And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
9. 7BSBThe first living creature was like a lion, the second like a calf, the third had a face like a man, and the fourth was like an eagle in flight.KJVKJV: And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
10. 8BSBAnd each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around and within. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”KJVKJV: And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
11. 9BSBAnd whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the One seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever,KJVKJV: And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
12. 10BSBthe twenty-four elders fall down before the One seated on the throne, and they worship Him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying:KJVKJV: The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
13. 11BSB“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things; by Your will they exist and were created.”KJVKJV: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
