1. 1BSWEታሴድ አሪ ታጋሊላ አዉራጃ፥ ታቃና ካታማይ ሃስኖ ግቴ፥ አዬ ታየሱሳና ኤሰ ግቴ፥BSBBSB: On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,
2. 2BSWEየሱሳና ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረና ባንኤ ታሃስኖ ኡማሜን ግረን።BSBBSB: and Jesus and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
3. 3BSWEጣሞ ካዎይኒ ካኮጉዳታረ ጎራታ አዬ ታየሱሳ፥ “ጣሞ ካዎይኒ ጉዳተለ አንተ።”BSBBSB: When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no more wine.”
4. 4BSWEየሱሳና፥ “አት ሄለልትቲ አን መ ጎጎየሎ ዶታታ? ጎራታክ ጋና ላኮጌሮ” አመ።BSBBSB: “Woman, what is that to you and to Me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”
5. 5BSWEኣየቴሳና ኤሰ ኦግረን ኦሀንዳራዉን፥ “ኡሱ ካአማሮ ዱባ ፈላ” አንተ።BSBBSB: His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.”
6. 6BSWEካአይሁድ ካሁሩፋ ሴራ ማለ፥ ቶዶባታምኮ ከንኮ ታ ቦልኔ ቶሞንኮ ከን ሊትሮ ካአባራ ቶሳ ሌዎ ኤሰ ግረ።BSBBSB: Now six stone water jars had been set there for the Jewish rites of purification. Each could hold from twenty to thirty gallons.
7. 7BSWEየሱሳ ኦሀንዳራነ “ቶሳሊ በከ አማጋ” አመ። እሶና ቶሳሊ ህኢ ገግሰን አማጌን።BSBBSB: Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim.
8. 8BSWEኡሱና፥ “ጉኮ ሁሙሳደነ ምን ካሃስኖክ አሞና ጣሞን ኦዶናት ካአቦን ስሳ” አመ። እሶና ኡሱ ጎጎሰጌሮክ ማለ የሌን።BSBBSB: “Now draw some out,” He said, “and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so,
9. 9BSWEኦዶናት ካአባናየክና ጣሞ ካዎይኒ ቶስ ኦኢግልሳመራን በከ ሁሙገ ዴ። ጎሌና ኤትኮ ኤመቴራን ላኮአዴሰሮ፥ በከ ኦሁሙሰራን ኦሀንዳረን አደን ካሳናየንዋ፤ ኡሱና ካማሻሸ ካለ ኡመረ፥BSBBSB: and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not know where it was from, but the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside
10. 10BSWE“እባዶ ዱባ ሆራርጀ ካሮርሳራ ካእዳንክ ጣሞ ካዎይኒያ፥ እባዶና ኣሎ ጣመ አባባተረ ካዳንቤ ጣሞ ካዎይኒ ሮርሳራ አት አደ ካእዳንክ ጣሞ ካዎይኒ ግዳ ጊን ካይተታ” አመ።BSBBSB: and said, “Everyone serves the fine wine first, and then the cheap wine after the guests are drunk. But you have saved the fine wine until now!”
11. 11BSWEየሱሳና ሂካ ባሳክ ማላታልኮ ካሆሬ ታጋሊላ አዉራጃ ቃና ካታማይ ፈለ፥ ካባጃና ቱሰ፥ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረና ኡሱ አማኔን።BSBBSB: Jesus performed this, the first of His signs, at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.
12. 12BSWEኤሰኮ አባባተረ የሱሳ ኣየቴሳነ፥ አቢላል ቴሳኔ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረነ ዎታ ካቅፍረናሆም ማማን ቶስ ዳገ፥ ኤሴና አሪ ትጫር ሀማጼን።BSBBSB: After this, He went down to Capernaum with His mother and brothers and His disciples, and they stayed there a few days.
13. 13BSWEካአይሁድ ባላ ካፋስካ ጎጎጋባላሜ፥ የሱሳ ኢየሩሳለም ቶስ ቤ።BSBBSB: When the Jewish Passover was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14. 14BSWEቁሉክ ምን ካዋኮት ኣል ኦሮ ግድጆል፥ እዳድጆልና አራበጆል ኦዳዳላታሬን ኡሱማለና ሀማጼን ማራጋደ ኢግልሳታ ካዳዳላታረ እባዶ ሄለ።BSBBSB: In the temple courts He found men selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and money changers seated at their tables.
15. 15BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ ጦርቃየ ሀረ ኤካሰረ እዳድጆልና ግድጆል ዱባ ምን ካኤብኮት ኣል ኦሮኮ ሆሮረ፥ ማራጋደ ኦኢግልሳታነና ማራጋደክሶ ዳረኤ፥ ጣራጴዛልና ኬሰ ሉጉደ።BSBBSB: So He made a whip out of cords and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle. He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
16. 16BSWEአራበ ኦዳዳላታሬነና፥ “ሂታኮ ቤሳ፥ ኣቦኬክ ምን ካዶክ ምን አሮየልቴን!” አመ።BSBBSB: To those selling doves He said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn My Father’s house into a marketplace!”
17. 17BSWEየሱሳኮ ኦአጋልሳታረና፥ “ምን ካዉን ታግታ ኢዳነ ጉባታ” አማመ ካጻፋመራ እሶን ሻዳመ።BSBBSB: His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for Your house will consume Me.”
18. 18BSWEአይሁድና፥ “ሂካ ዱባ ፌላኖካዉን መ ማላታ ኖን ቱስናታ?” አመን።BSBBSB: On account of this, the Jews demanded, “What sign can You show us to prove Your authority to do these things?”
19. 19BSWEየሱሳና “ሂካ ምን ካኤብ ባሳ፥ አንና አሪ ሴድ ኦሮ አባብ ኬስናራ” አመ አባበ።BSBBSB: Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.”
20. 20BSWEአይሁድ፥ “ሂካ ቁሉክ ምን ካኤብ ማዳርን ጌስ አፋርታምኮ ሌ ጉድሰራ፥ ሀያ አት ምሲ አሪ ሴድ ኦሮ አባብ ማዳርናታ?” አመን።BSBBSB: “This temple took forty-six years to build,” the Jews replied, “and You are going to raise it up in three days?”
21. 21BSWEየሱሳ ቁሉክ ምን ካዋ ጎአምሮ አደ እስ ኦቴሳክ ማር አዬሳኖየ።BSBBSB: But Jesus was speaking about the temple of His body.
22. 22BSWEየሱሳ ጎይኮ ካኮ ኬ ጎራታ፥ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ኡሱ መ አዬሰሮ ሻደን፥ ቁሉክ ማጻፋና የሱሳ ካአመሮ ሃፉራ አማኔን።BSBBSB: After He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this. Then they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.
23. 23BSWEየሱሳ ካፋስካ ባላ ኢየሩሳለም ካታማይ ግራን፥ እባዶ ካሞጋን ኡሱ ካፈለሮ ማላታል ዴረ መገኬሳ አማነ።BSBBSB: While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the signs He was doing and believed in His name.
24. 24BSWEየሱሳ አደ እባዶ ዱባ ማንኮካሶ ማራን እሶ ላኮአብዳተረ፥BSBBSB: But Jesus did not entrust Himself to them, for He knew them all.
25. 25BSWEኡሱ ዎዳና ታእባዶ ኦሮ ካግሮ ማንኮካሶ ማራን፥ ማዮና ጋራ ካእባዶ ኡሱን ጎጎአቶትሮን ላኮዶትሰሮ።BSBBSB: He did not need any testimony about man, for He knew what was in a man.
