1አልማኮ ታሆሬ አሪ ሄለል ታኤካሳተራን ሽቶ አበረ ኡል ቡላኦዋ ግራን ቃማል ቶስ ሴተ።On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.

2ቃማል ጉኮ ካኦቶቶለሮ ኤኤሞ ዴን።They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,

3ኦሮዴን ካኮታባሬን ጎራታ አደ ጎታ የሱሳኮክ ሬስ ላኮሄሌን።but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

4ኡሱ አዬሲ ግርድ አመን ግራን፥ ኣሎ ካሀንቃሮ ሳርስ ኦሳርሳቴራን እባዶጃ ላማ ደራኣ እሶ ዶሌ አሌን።While they were puzzling over this, suddenly two men in radiant apparel stood beside them.

5ሄለልጃና አብስኮ ካከይ ሁስ አመን ግራን፥ እባዶጃ ሃ አመን “አርዶክ ካሌሮ ኡሱ ቃማል ኦሮኮ ሙን ዶታታን?As the women bowed their faces to the ground in terror, the two men asked them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?

6ኡሱ ኬራ! ህታኒ ላኮግሮ፥ አደና ጋሊላይ ታኮግረ መ ኡሱ እስኔ አመሮ ሻዳ።He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee:

7‘ኤረ ካእባዶ ገነ ታጩባለሳይ ሮር ስሳምን፥ ሱዋሚና ታሴድ አሪ ጎይኮ ኪን ዶትሳራ’ አመ ግረ።”‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.’”

8ሄለልና ሀሱ ጎራታ ሃፉራ ካየሱሳ ሻደ።Then they remembered His words.

9ሄለልና ባንኤ ታቃማልኮ አባባተረ ሂካ አየስ ዱባ ቶሞንኮ ኮዉና ካካለ እባዶ ዱባን ሰገን።And when they returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.

10ሂካ አየስ ኦፋራሜራዉን ኦሰጌራና፥ ካመግደላ ኡልኮት ማይራመ፥ ዮሃና፥ አዬ ታያይቆባ ማይራምኔ እሶነ ዎታ ካካለ ሄለልና ግረ።It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told this to the apostles.

11እሶ ጎአመን ሄለል ካአዬሰረ አየስ ካዳንዶዋራን አን እሶን ማንኮሌ ማራን ላኮአብዳተረን።But their words seemed like nonsense to them, and they did not believe the women.

12ጴጢሮሳ ጎአመን ኬጉረ ቃማል ቶስ ቲየ። ኤሰራ ጌጉረና ሁስ አመረ ኦሮድ ጎዎችሮ ጋሸ ታላል ግራኖ ዴ። ካሌሮ አየሱን ማማ ምንኬሳ አባባተ።Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. And after bending down and seeing only the linen cloths, he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

13ኤሰ አሪ የሱሳኮ ኦአጋልሳታረንኮ ላማ፥ ኢየሩሳለምኮ ኩማ ቶሞንኮ ኮ ታላብስ ግታክ ፋክ ካአመ፥ ኤማሁስ ካአማማሮ ማማን ቶስ ሴታ ግረን።That same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.

14እሶና ካሌሮ አየስ ዱባ እስ እስስኦሮ አዬሳ ግረን።They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.

15አዬሳና ሰሰታን ጉት ግራን የሱሳና እሶ ቶስ ጋባላመረ እሶነታ ሴታኖ ሀጋአበ።And as they talked and deliberated, Jesus Himself came up and walked along with them.

16አየሱን ጎአመን እሶ ኡሱ ጎጎአዴሶንኮ እልኦ ኦትሶ አባሜን ግረን።But their eyes were kept from recognizing Him.

17የሱሳ፥ “እስን ሰሴታ ግራን፥ ራድ እስ እስኦሮ ሃ ካአዬሳቴን መያ?” አመ። እሶና ኣሎ ያዳ ኦሮ ታቤን ቶልሜን አሌን።He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?” They stood still, with sadness on their faces.

18እሶኮና ኮ፥ ቀልዮጳ ካአማመረ፥ “ሂናኣ አርጆሊ ህታኒ ኢየሩሳለም ካሌሮ አየስ ካካሶን፥ አት ኡሉን ማርትታ?” አመ አባበ።One of them, named Cleopas, asked Him, “Are You the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in recent days?”

19የሱሳ፥ “ካሌራ አየስ መያ?” አመ። እሶና ሃ አመን። ዋይና እባዶ ዱባ ሆረ ፈሎይና ሃፉራይ ካአቲ ካሄገሮ ማንኮሌረ ማራን፥ “ህክና ካናዝረት የሱሳ ጉት ካፈላመሮ አዬስያ።“What things?” He asked. “The events involving Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. “This man was a prophet, powerful in speech and action before God and all the people.

20ኡሱ ቱቃሞኮክ ዎይቻልና ሞትጆልካን ጎይኮክ ፍርዳን ኡሱ ሮርሰን ስሰን፥ ሱዬን።Our chief priests and rulers delivered Him up to the sentence of death, and they crucified Him.

21ኖ አንዴ ካእስራኤል ጎሳዉን ዎዶ ሌሮዋ አምነ አብድ ካየላነኔ ኡሱየ። ካካለኮና አደ፥ ሂክ ሃ ጎሌኮ ህታር አሪ ታሴድታ።But we were hoping He was the One who would redeem Israel. And besides all this, it is the third day since these things took place.

22አደና ኖ ኦሮኮ ሄለል ኮኮ ኖ ማምሰ፥ እሶና ቡላነ ቃማል ቶስ ሴተሬን።Furthermore, some of our women astounded us. They were at the tomb early this morning,

23ሬስና ካኮዋታሬን ጎራታ ኤሜተረን ‘የሱሳ ኔፎነ ግራ’ ኦአማራን ኤርግቻል ራጋ ዴነ አማ አባባተን ኤመተን ኖን ሰገን።but they did not find His body. They came and told us they had seen a vision of angels, who said that Jesus was alive.

24ኖ ኦሮኮ ኮኮ ቃማል ቶስ ሴተረ፥ ልክ ሄለል ጎጎአመሮ ካሌሮ ዴን። የሱሳ አደ ላኮዴረን።”Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had described. But Him they did not see.”

25የሱሳ ሃ አመ፥ “እስን ጎዎሌ እባዶ፥ ዎዳናትስና ካሄገሮል ካአዬሰናን ዱባ አማናታና ዋቲ አዳላተ፥Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

26ክርስቶሳ ሂካ አየስ ህታ ራኮ አታታኖና ካባጃ ቶስ ታባኖ ላኮዶትሳሮያ?”Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?”

27ሙሴኮና ካሄገሮ ዱባኮ ሀጋአበረ ቁሉክ ማጻፋጆል ጋራኬሳ ካጻፋመሮ ቱሳ ፉረ ሰገ።And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.

28ካሴታረን ማማን ካኮጋባላመሬን ጎራታ፥ የሱሳ እስ ካሮርናሮ ኣን ሌ።As they approached the village where they were headed, He seemed to be going farther.

29እሶ አደን፥ “አርት ኢተ ቡይተታ፥ ኡል ሄመን ላራ፥ ሃንሱን ኖኔ ዎታ ህታኒ ባር!” አመረን አታይሰን ኤባተን። ሃንሱን እሶነታ ባርን ታበ።But they pleaded with Him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them.

30እሶነታ ባቦ ኣምን ካኮሀማጼረ ጎራታ ባቦ ኬሰረ ዋ ጋላቴረ ኤብሰ እሶን ስሰ።While He was reclining at the table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them.

31ኡሱ ጎራታ እልኦ ኦትሶ ባናመሬን የሱሳ ላኖ አዴሰን፥ ኡሱና እሶኮ ስያመ።Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus—and He disappeared from their sight.

32እሶና፥ “ኖ ራድ ግራን፥ ኖ አዬስሳ ቁሉክ ማጻፋና ባነ አጋልስሳ፥ ዎዳናታን ጉባታ ላግቴላ?” አመን።They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

33ኡሱ ጎራታዋ ኬንጉሬነ ኢየሩሳለም አባባተን ሴተን። ቶሞንኮ ኮ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራና ኦካለ እሶነ ዎታ ኮሌን ኩኩሜን ኦግራን ሄሌን።And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, gathered together

34እሶና፥ “ጎታ የሱሳ ኦግራን ኬራ! ስሞናና ሙተራ” አማ ግረን።and saying, “The Lord has indeed risen and has appeared to Simon!”

35የሱሳኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ላማ ራድ ካሌሮ አዬስና የሱሳ ባቦ ኤብሰ ካኮስሳረ ጎራታ ምሲ እሶን አዴሳመሮ ሰገን።Then the two told what had happened on the road, and how they had recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread.

36እሶ ሂካ አዬሳ ግራንቲ፥ የሱሳ እሶ ኦሮ አሌረ፥ “ኖጎዳ እስኑን ሀሌቶ” አመ።While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

37እሶ አደ ኔንጉሬነ አብሳተን። ጋሪ ካዴራን ኣን እሶን ሌ።But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.

38የሱሳና ሃ አመ፥ “ሙን ንያታን? ዎዳናትስኒ ሙን ሄዳታን?“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

39ገነኖኦቴና ሉቃቆኦቴ ዲያ፥ አንዋያ። አዳ. እን ድና ዲያ፥ እን ጉት ጎጎድያታኒ ጋር ሶና ለፋልና ላኮአብቶ።”Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

40ሂካ አመጉረ ገነኖና ሉቃና እሶን ቱሳተ።And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.

41እሶና ገገሎኮና ማማኖኮ ካከይ ጋና ሀአብዳኖን ግራን፥ “ህታኒ ኮኮ ካአምራን አብታነ?” አመ።While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

42እሶና ኤለኒ ካዱባመሮ ኩኑኡብኮ ኡሱን ስሰን።So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish,

43የሱሳና አታተረ እሶ ሆረ አመ።and He took it and ate it in front of them.

44ኡሱና፥ “አን እስነታ ታኮግረ፥ ሴራ ካሙሴይ፥ ካሄገሮልና ማዛሙርኮክ ማጻፋይ እን ማራን ካጻፋመረ ዱባ ጉዳይን ዶትሳራ አመ አን እስኑን ካሰጌረ ሃፉራክ ሂካያ” አመ።Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.”

45ኡሱ ጎራታ ቁሉክ ማጻፋጆሊ ጎጎሻድናዉን ሳሙትሶ ባነ።Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

46ሃና አመ፥ “ክርስቶሳ ራኮ አታይናራ። ታሴድ አርና ጎይኮ ክናራ። ሃ አማመ ማጻፋ ቁሉክ ጻፋመራ።And He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

47ኢየሩሳለምኮ ሀጋአበረ ጎሳ ዱባን ጩቦኮ ጉላ ጋላኖና ጩቦ ሀሄሶ አማማኖ መገኬሳይ ላላባምናራ።and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.

48እስና ሂካኑን አቶታን።You are witnesses of these things.

49አንና ኣቦክ ታስሰሮ አብድ እስኑን ፋርናራ። እስን አድ ኤለኮ ሁና ታአታታኒ ኢየሩሳለም ግራ።”And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

50ኤሰኮ አባባተረ የሱሳ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን ካታማኮ ቤሰረ ብታንያ ታጌሮ ኣተ ቤ። ገነኖኦቴሳና ኬሰረ እሶ ሶማሳተ።When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

51እሶ ጋላታ ግራና፥ እሶኮ አሳባመ ዳሩር ቶስ ቤ።While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.

52እሶና ሳጋደን፥ ገጌሎ ኦአቲትና ኢየሩሳለም ቶስ አባባተን።And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

53ዋ ጋላታ አርጌቶ ቁሉክ ምን ካዋይ ግረን።praising God continually in the temple.
