1. 1BSWEኤሰኮና የሱሳ ሃ አማ ማሱሳይ እሶን ሰጋኖ ሀጋአበ፤ “እባዶት ኮ ካዎይኒ አካክልተ አባራተ፤ ማራሙርሰ ኦት ካተ፤ ዎይኒ ካኮሙላሮ ጉምቢና ኦሻተ፤ ታኦራሮ ታቀና ማዳራተ፤ ኤሰኮ ኦታተን ኦባራራዉን ክራይ ስሰጉረ ኡል ካካለ ሴተ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a wine vat, and built a watchtower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
2. 2BSWEካም ታኮኩኩአማሮ ድግኒ ታዱባንተቶ ታዎይኒ ኢልኮ ጎጎኬናዉን ኡሱን ካሀንዳረኬሳ ኦታተን ኦባራራን ቶስ ፋረ።BSBBSB: At harvest time, he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
3. 3BSWEእሶ ጎአመን አበን ቦጨን ገነ ታላልና ጋፋሬን።BSBBSB: But they seized the servant, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed.
4. 4BSWEአደና ካካለ ካሀንዳሮ ፋረ፤ እሶና መተኬሳ በረኤሰን የራሴን አባበን።BSBBSB: Then he sent them another servant, and they struck him over the head and treated him shamefully.
5. 5BSWEግዳና አደ ካካለ ፋረ፤ ሂካና ላጋዴን፤ ኦካለ ኦሞጋን ኦሮኮ ኮኮ ቦጨራን፤ ኮኮና ላጋዴን።BSBBSB: He sent still another, and this one they killed. He sent many others; some they beat and others they killed.
6. 6BSWE“ግዳና ካፋራምናራ ካካለ ኡሱን ግረ፤ ኡሱና ኡሱ ካጌላታሮ ኤረኬሳየ፤ ‘ኤረኬ ካባጂናዋ’ አማ ዱባንኮ ዳንበኔ ፋረ።BSBBSB: Finally, having one beloved son, he sent him to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
7. 7BSWE“ኦታተን ኦባራራን ጎአመን እስኦሮ፤ ‘ሂክ ዋና ካኤላሮያ፤ ኮዬን ላጋንዶ፤ ኤሬቴሳ ታታን ለታ’ አመን።BSBBSB: But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
8. 8BSWEኤሰኮና አበን ላጋዴን፤ ታዎይኒ ባንኤኮ ሳር ቤሰን ሻፌን።BSBBSB: So they seized the son, killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
9. 9BSWE“ጎርታኑ ጋ ካዎይኒኮክ ኦዶ መ ካየልናሮ ኣን ላራ? ኤመይናራ፤ ኦታተን ኦባራራን ላጋድናራ፤ ካዎይኒ አካክልተ ኦካለቱን ስስናራ።BSBBSB: What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.
10. 10BSWEጎርቱን፥ “ ‘ግምበ ኦግንባራን ካቱፋተን ኤኤሞ፥ ኡሱ ምና አፋሩን መተ ሌ፤ አማመ ካጻፋመሮ ሃፉራ ላኮናባብቴታንያ?BSBBSB: Have you never read this Scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
11. 11BSWEሂካ ካፈለራ ጎታያ፤ ህክና ኢልኦ ኦታኒ ካሳድስሮያ።’ ”BSBBSB: This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”
12. 12BSWEአይሁድኮክ ዎይቻል የሱሳ ማሱሳይ ካኮአየሰራ ጋራክሶ ላኖ ካኮአዴሳረ ጎራታ ኡሱ አብን ዶተ፤ አየሱን ጎአመን ጎሳ ማንኮአብሳታረ ማራን ኢሰ ሴተ።BSBBSB: At this, the leaders sought to arrest Jesus, for they knew that He had spoken this parable against them. But fearing the crowd, they left Him and went away.
13. 13BSWEኤሰኮና አየስ ሄገልኮ ኣት አብን ካፋራሳው እባዶኮና ታሄሮዶሳ ኡናኮ እባዶ የሱሳ ቶስ ፋረን።BSBBSB: Later, they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to catch Jesus in His words.
14. 14BSWEእሶና ኤመተንጉረን፤ “ካአጋልስሳቶ፤ አት ካሩም እባዶት ላኖካ ካንሶዋ፤ በቤድ ታእባዶ ዴተ ኮ ቶስ ሀኡሉልሶን ካዋ ራ ካላል ሩም አጋልስሳታ፤ ጎሌና ቄሳርን ጊራ ሙርን ዶትሳራ ሙ ላኮዶትሳሮያ? ኖ ሙርኖ ሙ ላኮሙርኖያ?BSBBSB: “Teacher,” they said, “we know that You are honest and seek favor from no one. Indeed, You are impartial and teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay them or not?”
15. 15BSWEየሱሳ ጎአመን ኢፍሳዳ ላኖክሶ ማላበረ፤ ሙን እንኮ አየስ ሄገልኮ ኣትን ዶታታን?” አላ ድናር ኮ ኬና አን ዴሮ አመ።BSBBSB: But Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said, “Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to inspect.”
16. 16BSWEእሶና ከኔን፥ “ህት ምዲ ታዮታ? ጻፋኖ ካዮያ?” አመ እሶ ሆሳተ፥ “እሶና ታቄሳርታ” አመን።BSBBSB: So they brought it, and He asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they answered.
17. 17BSWEየሱሳና፤ “ካቄሳር ካሌሮ ቄሳርዉን ስሳ ካዋ ካሌሮ ዋዉን ስሳ” አመ። እሶና ኡሱይ ማሜን።BSBBSB: Then Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” And they marveled at Him.
18. 18BSWEሂታኮ ሆረንባን ጎይኮ ክያኖ ላኮግሮ ኦአማራን ካሶደቃውል እባዶ የሱሳ ቶስ ኤመተጉረ ሃ አማ ሆሳተ፤BSBBSB: Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and questioned Him:
19. 19BSWE“ካአጋልስሳቶ፤” እባዶት ኮኮክ አቢ ኦር አታይጉረ ይስ ሀኡሙሎን ጎጎየ፥ “ሂክ እባዶት ህታ ሄለልትቲ አታይጉረ አቢኬሳት ሳኒ ጎጎካይሮ አመ ሙሴ ጻፈራ።BSBBSB: “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man is to marry his brother’s widow and raise up offspring for him.
20. 20BSWEሀያ አቢላል ቶዶባ ግቴ፤ ካሆሬ አታተረ ሳኒ ሀካኖን ጎየ፤BSBBSB: Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died, leaving no children.
21. 21BSWEካላምክና ህታ ሄለልትቲ አታተ፤ ኡሱና ሳኒ ሀካኖን ጎየ፤ ካሴድና ሂካማሌ፤BSBBSB: Then the second one married the widow, but he also died and left no children. And the third did likewise.
22. 22BSWEቶዶባ ዱባና አታተን ሳኒ ጎአመን ላኮካተን፤ ዳንበኔ አደ ሄለልትቲ ጎተ።BSBBSB: In this way, none of the seven left any children. And last of all, the woman died.
23. 23BSWEጎርታኑ ቶዶባ ዱባና አታተራን ጎይኮ ታክያኖ አሪ ህናኣኮ ኤሰ አዮን ኦር ልናታ?” አመን።BSBBSB: In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be? For all seven were married to her.”
24. 24BSWEየሱሳና እሶን ሃ አመ አባበራ፤ “ካኮሽርአማታን ቁሎለ ማጻፋልና ሁና ካዋ ማንኮካሳናዋተን ማራንያ።BSBBSB: Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
25. 25BSWEኦጎየራን ጎይኮ ካኮኬራን ጎራታ ካዳሩረ ኤርግቻል ኣን ልናራን ኳሬ ላኮአታታራን ላኮናኬሳማራን።BSBBSB: When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven.
26. 26BSWEጎይኮ ከያኖኮክ ጋራ ጎአመን ካሙሴ ማጻፋይ ህክና ጋራ ካሁርስ ታአዬሰሮ ክፍል ዋ ‘አን ካአብራመ ሄዶ፥ ካይሳቃ ሄዶ፥ ካያይቆባ ሄዶያ ካአመሮ ላኮናባብቴታንያ?’BSBBSB: But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
27. 27BSWEዋ አርዶኒዕኮክ ሄዶያ ኳሬ ካጎይ ሄዶ ላኮዮ፤ ሃንሱን ኣሎ ሽርንተታን።”BSBBSB: He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
28. 28BSWEሴራ ካሙሴ ኦአጋልስሳራንኮ ኮ ኤመተጉረ ዶጋማግራን ማለ፤ የሱሳና ኡሱ ቶስ ታኤሜተተ ሆሲኑን አባብ ካእዳን እሶን አባባኖ ሻደረ፥ “አሚና፤ ኣጃጃ ዱባኮ ካሮራራ ኤክያ?” አመ ሆሳተ።BSBBSB: Now one of the scribes had come up and heard their debate. Noticing how well Jesus had answered them, he asked Him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
29. 29BSWEየሱሳና ሃ አመ ኡሱን አባበ፤ “ዱባንኮ ካጂናታራ አጃጃ ሂካያ ‘እስራኤል ማል፤ ጎታ ሄዶካን ጎታ ኮያ፤BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.
30. 30BSWEአትና ጎታ ሄዶካ ዱዶት ዎዳናታይ፥ ዱዶት ኔፎታይ፥ ዱዶክ ያዳካይና ዱዶክ ሁናካይ ጌላ።’BSBBSB: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
31. 31BSWEካላምክ አጃጃና ሂካ ኣን ካላሮያ፤ ‘ኦላታ እስኦታ ኣን ጌላ’ ካአማሮያ። ሂናኣ አጃጃ ላማኮ ካሮራራ ካካለ አጃጃ ላግሮ።”BSBBSB: The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
32. 32BSWEሴራ ካሙሴ ካአጋልስሳራና የሱሳነ ሃ አመ፤ “ካአጋልስሳቶ!” “ታኢዳን አንተታ፤ ዋ ኮያ፤ ኡሱኮና ካካለ ግራናዋት አዬሳኖካ ሩምያ፤BSBBSB: “Right, Teacher,” the scribe replied. “You have stated correctly that God is One and there is no other but Him,
33. 33BSWEሃንሱን እባዶ ዱዶት ዎዳናታይ፥ ዱዶት ሳሙታይ፥ ዱዶት ኔፎታይ፥ ዱዶክ ሁናካይ ጌላታኖ፥ ኡሱማለና ኦላታ እስኦታ ኣን ጌላታኖ፥ ካጉባማሮ ጃርሶ ዱባኮና ካካለ ጃርሶጆልኮ ሮራራ።”BSBBSB: and to love Him with all your heart and with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. This is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34. 34BSWEየሱሳ ሴራ ካአጋልስሳረክ ቃሩማና ሻድኮ አባባኖ ዴጉረ፥ “አት ዎኖናት ዋኮ ፋክ ካአንተ ላኮቶ” አመ። ሀሴኮ አባባተረ ሆሳይን ካጃባተ ኮና ላኮግሮ።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw that the man had answered wisely, He said, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to question Him any further.
35. 35BSWEየሱሳ ቁሉክ ምን ካዋኮክ አዉዲ ካኮአጋልስሳረ ጎራታ ሃ አማ ሆሲን ሆሳተን፤ “ሴራ ካሙሴ ኦአጋልስሳራን ክርስቶሳ ኤረ ካዳዉተያ ምሲ አማራን?BSBBSB: While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, He asked, “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David?
36. 36BSWEዳዉተና መተኬሳዉን ቁሉክ አያናይ ከኬጉረ፥ “ ‘ጎታ ጎታክ፥ ዲናካ ሉቃኦታ ሄገሊ አን ኩን “ታ የሎ ጌግን መርገቴይ ሀማጺ አመ አማራ።” ’BSBBSB: Speaking by the Holy Spirit, David himself declared: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet.”’
37. 37BSWEሀያ ዳዉተ መተኬሳን ‘ጎታ’ ጎአምሮ፤ ምሲ አባባተ ኤረ ላራ?” ጎሳ ካሞጋንና ገጌሎይ ማላ ግረ።BSBBSB: David himself calls Him ‘Lord.’ So how can He be David’s son?” And the large crowd listened to Him with delight.
38. 38BSWEየሱሳ ካኮአጋልስሳረ ጎራታ ሃ አመ፤ “ሴራ ኦአጋልስሳራንኮ እስኦትስን ኦራዬን፤ ካኤር ቆሎ ሳርሳቴንጉረን ማራሙር ሰሴይን ጌላታራን፤ ግያ ኦሮና ታካባጃንተ ኖጎዳ አታይን ዶታራን።BSBBSB: In His teaching Jesus also said, “Watch out for the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, to receive greetings in the marketplaces,
39. 39BSWEአይሁድኮክ ምን ካኤብና ካካባጃመ ባርጩማ፥ ባንኤ ታአሞይና ታካባጃንተ ባንኤ ዶታታራን፤BSBBSB: and to have the chief seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
40. 40BSWEኤራስ ኤባታኖክሶ ኣላንቲ የላ ጋልታንተጆልኮክ ምን ሀዉአይ የላራን፤ ሂኒዕ ካአቲ ፊርዳ አታይናራን።”BSBBSB: They defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will receive greater condemnation.”
41. 41BSWEየሱሳ ሙጹዋታ ካኮአባባራን ሳጢነ ዶሌ ሀማጼጉረ ካሞጋን እባዶ እላቦጆልኬሳ ቁሉክ ምን ማራጋደ ካኮካማሮ ሳጢነ ኦሮ ሉጉዳ ግራን ዲያ ግረ። ካሞጋን ዱሬሳልና ካሞጋን ማራጋደ ሉጉደን፤BSBBSB: As Jesus was sitting opposite the treasury, He watched the crowd putting money into it. And many rich people put in large amounts.
42. 42BSWEህየት ጋልታንተት ቶ አደ ማላቃ ላማ ታናስ ማራጋደ ሉጉደ።BSBBSB: Then one poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amounted to a small fraction of a denarius.
43. 43BSWEየሱሳ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን “ኡመጉረ፥ ሃ አመራ፤ አን ሩምና አማራ፤ ህት ህየት ጋልታንተት ሳጢነ ኦሮዴሴን ኦሉጉዴራን ኦካለኮ ካጂናሮ ሉጉደታ።BSBBSB: Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more than all the others into the treasury.
44. 44BSWEሂኒዕ ዱባ ካሄላቴራን ዎረኤኮ ስሴራን፤ ኤሰ ጎአመን ህዩማትሴኮክ ሁናኮ ዱባ ባሪሳኖዉን ኤሰን ካሌሮ ሀሃሳኖን ጎጎግሮ ስሰታ” አመ።BSBBSB: For they all contributed out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”
