1. 1BSWEበከ ኦጋሊላኮ ጋማ ናቀረነ ገርገስኖን ካአማማረ ማማን ጌን።BSBBSB: On the other side of the sea, they arrived in the region of the Gerasenes.
2. 2BSWEየሱሳ ዎላቦኮ ጎጎዳጌ፥ ባቲክ አያና ካኮግረ እባዶት ታህዬል ባንኤኮ ቤረ ኡሱ ቶስ ኤመተ ኤሰለ።BSBBSB: As soon as Jesus got out of the boat, He was met by a man with an unclean spirit, who was coming from the tombs.
3. 3BSWEሂክ እባዶት ታህዬል ባንኤ ግረ፥ ማዮና ኡሱ ሳንሳላታይ ሺ ካይን ላኮዳንዴረ።BSBBSB: This man had been living in the tombs and could no longer be restrained, even with chains.
4. 4BSWEጎራታ ካሞጋን ታሉኬ ማርጮና ሳንሳላታ ካገኔይ ሻማ ግረ። አየሱን ጎአመን ካገኔ ሳንሳላታ ጎጎሳና ታሉኬ ማርጮ ኤኤብሳ ግረ። ማዮና ኡሱ አብ አዳላይስን ካዳንዴራ ላኮግረ።BSBBSB: Though he was often bound with chains and shackles, he had broken the chains and shattered the shackles. Now there was no one with the strength to subdue him.
5. 5BSWEአርጌቶ አሪነ ሄመኔ ህየልና ዎዳም ጉት ማራሙራራ እያ ማርኬሳ ኤኤሞ ጎጎሳታ ግረ።BSBBSB: Night and day in the tombs and in the mountains he kept crying out and cutting himself with stones.
6. 6BSWEሂክ እባዶት የሱሳ ኤባ ካኮደያረ ጎራታ ኡሱ ቶስ ትያ ኤመተ ሆረ ግልቢሰረ ሳጋደ።BSBBSB: When the man saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees before Him.
7. 7BSWEያየ ጦቂሰረ እያ፥ “አት ዱባንኮ ካአቲ ኤረ ካዋ የሱሳ፥ ኢነ ዎታ መ አብታ? ጎጎአቦስሶንኮ መገ ካዋይ አን ኩ ኤባታራ!” አመ።BSBBSB: And he shouted in a loud voice, “What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You before God not to torture me!”
8. 8BSWEእባዶትና ሂካ ካኮንአመረ፥ “አት ባቲክ አያና ሂካ እባዶትኮ ቤና!” አመ አጃጃ ስሰ ማንኮግረ ማራንያ።BSBBSB: For Jesus had already declared, “Come out of this man, you unclean spirit!”
9. 9BSWEኤሰኮና የሱሳ፥ “መገካ አዮያ?” አመ ኡሱ ሆሳተ። “ኦሞጋን ማንኮሌረን ማራን መገክና ሌጎንያ” አመ።BSBBSB: “What is your name?” Jesus asked. “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.”
10. 10BSWEኡልኮ እሶ ጎጎሆሮሮንኮ አታይሰ ኤባተ።BSBBSB: And he begged Jesus repeatedly not to send them out of that region.
11. 11BSWEኤሰ ባንኤ ዎዳም ላዩይ ታሞጋን ቦዬ ቦባይተ ግቴ።BSBBSB: There on the nearby hillside a large herd of pigs was feeding.
12. 12BSWEባቲክ አያናጆል የሱሳነ፥ “ቦዬል ቶስ ጎጎታብኖ ኖን ፈኢ ስስ” አመን ኤባተን።BSBBSB: So the demons begged Jesus, “Send us to the pigs, so that we may enter them.”
13. 13BSWEየሱሳና ፈኢ ስሰ፥ ባቲክ አያናጆል ሀሱ እባዶትኮ ቤረን ቦዬል ታቤን፥ ኩማ ላማ ካሌራ ቦዬል ላጋ ህኢ መተጋማቶ ሄገልዴን ዳጌን በከ ኦሮ ልች አመን።BSBBSB: He gave them permission, and the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs, and the herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the water.
14. 14BSWEቦዬል ኦፎፋሬና ባቃተን ሴተን፥ ማማንና ማማንኮ ቃማነ ካግሮ ኡል ኦዱ አዬሴን፥ ጎሳና ካሌሮ አየስ ድን ታኮግሮ ባንኤኮ ቤ።BSBBSB: Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened.
15. 15BSWEጎሳና የሱሳ ቶስ ኤመተጉረ ሀሱ ባቲክ አያና አባመረ ካግረ እባዶትኮ ሳሙ አባባተደ፥ ሳርስ ሳርሳተ ካሀማጼሮ ካኮድያረን ጎራታ ኔን።BSBBSB: When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons sitting there, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
16. 16BSWEሂካ ጣየ ካዴራ እባዶ ባቲክ አያና ካኮባሬሮ እባዶትና ቦዬል ጉት ካሌሮ አየስ ዱባ ጎሳን ሰገን።BSBBSB: Those who had seen it described what had happened to the demon-possessed man and also to the pigs.
17. 17BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ ጎሳ የሱሳ ኡልክሶኮ ጋፋር ጎጎቤሮ ኤባተን።BSBBSB: And the people began to beg Jesus to leave their region.
18. 18BSWEኤሰኮና የሱሳ ዎላቦይ ካኮታባረ ጎራታ፥ ዱርሳ ካኮግረ እባዶት ዎታ ሴይን ኤባተ።BSBBSB: As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed by the demons begged to go with Him.
19. 19BSWEየሱሳ ኡሱን ፈኢ ላኮስሰ፥ አየሱን ጎአመን “ምንካ ሴዴ ጎታ ኤግታክ ካአት አየስ ኩን ፈለሮና ምሲ ሻጋ የለሮ ጎሳካዉን ሰጋ” አመ።BSBBSB: But Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.”
20. 20BSWEእባዶት ሴተረ፥ የሱሳ ካፈለሮ አየስ ዱባ ማማን ቶሞን ካአማማሮ ኡል ሰጋኖ ሀጋአበ፥ ካማለ ዱባ ሳደ።BSBBSB: So the man went away and began to proclaim throughout the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And everyone was amazed.
21. 21BSWEየሱሳ አደ ካላም በከኮ ጋማ ዎላቦይ ካኮናቃረ ጎራታ ካሞጋን ጎሳ ኡሱ ቶስ ኩኩመ፥ ሀሱ ጎራታ ኡሱ ላቡ ግርዲ ግረ።BSBBSB: When Jesus had again crossed by boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him beside the sea.
22. 22BSWEአይሁድኮክ ምን ካኤብዉን ዎይቻ ካለሮኮ ኮ እያኢሮስ ካአማማረ ኤሰራ ኤመተረ የሱሳ ካኮደያረ ጎራታ ሉቃ. ጉት ኢየረ፥BSBBSB: A synagogue leader named Jairus arrived, and seeing Jesus, he fell at His feet
23. 23BSWE“ትጫርት ኡኑት ጎይ ህኢ ግታ ፋይደ ኔፎነ ጎጎግርቶ ኤሜደ ገነታ ኤሰ ጉት ካይ” አማ አታይሰ ኤባተ።BSBBSB: and pleaded with Him urgently, “My little daughter is near death. Please come and place Your hands on her, so that she will be healed and live.”
24. 24BSWEየሱሳና ዎታ ሴተ ካሞጋን ጎሳና ኡሱ ማራሙረ ኡንኤ ዴበ ሰሴተን።BSBBSB: So Jesus went with him, and a large crowd followed and pressed around Him.
25. 25BSWEጌስ ቶሞንኮ ላማ ኢግ ኡባታ ታኮግረ ሄለልትቲ ቶ ኤሰ ግቴ።BSBBSB: And a woman was there who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years.
26. 26BSWEኦሞጋን ኦዶ ዶብጆሉን ዶሌ ራካታ ታግቴ ካአብቶ ዱባ ጎጉሳተና፥ ꬉኩባ ሀጋአታተ ኳሬ ላኮኢሰረ።BSBBSB: She had borne much agony under the care of many physicians and had spent all she had, but to no avail. Instead, her condition had only grown worse.
27. 27BSWEኤሰና ጋራ ካየሱሳ ካኮማላተ ጎራታ ሃሬ እባዶ ኦሮማርተ ኤመተዴ ሳርስኬሳ ድንተ፥BSBBSB: When the woman heard about Jesus, she came up through the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak.
28. 28BSWEኣላንቲና “ማምስ ልጉረ ሱረ ሳርስኬሳ ካላል ጎድነ ፋይናራ” ካአማሮ አማኖ አባናይተ።BSBBSB: For she kept saying, “If only I touch His garments, I will be healed.”
29. 29BSWEካኡባታረ ኢግ ባኔዋ አሌ፥ አቦሳኮ ሄሳኖ ማርክሰይ አዴሳመ።BSBBSB: Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she sensed in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
30. 30BSWEየሱሳ ባኔዋ ሁና ኡሱኮ ብያኖ አዴሰረ፥ ጎሳ ቶስ ካምባል አመረ፥ “ሳርስኬ ካድነ አዮያ?” አመ።BSBBSB: At once Jesus was aware that power had gone out from Him. Turning to the crowd, He asked, “Who touched My garments?”
31. 31BSWEኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን፥ “ጎሳ ኡናኣመረ ካሻሻፋሮ ድያግራን፥ ‘አዮያ እን ካድነራ?’ ምሲአማታ?” አመን።BSBBSB: His disciples answered, “You can see the crowd pressing in on You, and yet You ask, ‘Who touched Me?’”
32. 32BSWEየሱሳ አደ ሂካ ካፈለራ አዮዮ ድን ሃር አባባተ ማራሙርሰ ዎቼ።BSBBSB: But He kept looking around to see who had done this.
33. 33BSWEሄለልትቲና ኤሰን መ ፈላመሮ ካኮአዴሳተ ጎራታ አብሳታና ሀርኣ ኤመተዴ ኡሱ ሆረ ኢተ ሩም ዱባና ሰጊተ።BSBBSB: Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him trembling in fear, and she told Him the whole truth.
34. 34BSWEየሱሳና፥ “ኡኑቴ አማኖካ ኩ ፋይሰራ ኖጎዳ ጋል፥ አቦሳካኮ ፎልሳ” አመ።BSBBSB: “Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction.”
35. 35BSWEየሱሳ ሂካ አዬሳ ግራን፥ አይሁድኮክ ምን ካኤብዉን ዎይቻ ካሌሮ ካኢያኢሮስ ምንኮ ካኤመተረ እባዶ እያኢሮስነ “ኡኑታ ጎተታ፥ ጎራታ ካአጋልስሳሮ ሙን ሀርሳታ?” አመን።BSBBSB: While He was still speaking, messengers from the house of Jairus arrived and said, “Your daughter is dead; why bother the Teacher anymore?”
36. 36BSWEየሱሳ አደ ሂካ ማለጉረ ዎይቻትነ አማና ኳሬ “አሮአብሳተ!” አመ።BSBBSB: But Jesus overheard their conversation and said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; just believe.”
37. 37BSWEየሱሳ ጴጢሮሳነ ያይቆባነ አደ ካያይቆባ አቢ ያንሳነ ኳሬ ማዮና ዴበ ጎጎሴሮ ፈኢ ላኮስሰ።BSBBSB: And He did not allow anyone to accompany Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.
38. 38BSWEምን ካዎይቻት ካኮግያረን ጎራታ የሱሳ እባዶ ዎ ዎ አማ ዩሩሩ አመ ኦታ ግራን ዴ።BSBBSB: When they arrived at the house of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw the commotion and the people weeping and wailing loudly.
39. 39BSWEምን ቶስ ታበረ፥ “ሂክ ዱባ ኢያና ኦታን መታ? ኡኑና ሁዱርተታ ኳሬ ላኮጎተቶ” አመ።BSBBSB: He went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but asleep.”
40. 40BSWEእባዶ አደ ቃጭፋታ ኡሱን ኦሶለ። የሱሳ አደ እባዶ ዱባ ምንኮ ቤሰረ ኡኑኮክ ኦዶና ኣና ኡሱማሌ ኡሱ ዎታ ኦኤሜተሬን ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ዎታ ኡኑ ማንኮግቶ ቶስ ታበ።BSBBSB: And they laughed at Him. After He had put them all outside, He took the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and went in to see the child.
41. 41BSWEኤሰኮና ታኡኑ ገነ አበረ “ጣልታ ክ አሊ!” አመ። “ፉረንና፥ ተኡኑ ክ አማራ” አማኖያ።BSBBSB: Taking her by the hand, Jesus said, “Talitha koum!” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”
42. 42BSWEኡኑትና ባኔዋ ኬተ አልተ ሀሴራ ሂታራ ሰሴተ። ጌስክሰና ቶሞንኮ ላማየ። እባዶና ካሌሮ አዬሲ ኣሎ ሳደ።BSBBSB: Immediately the girl got up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). And at once they were utterly astounded.
43. 43BSWEየሱሳ አደ ሂካ አየስ ማዮና ጎጎአዴሶንኮ አታይሰ ሰጌጉረ፥ ኤሰ ካአንቶ ኮኮ ጎጎስስራዉን ሰገ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus gave strict orders that no one should know about this, and He told them to give her something to eat.
