1. 1BSWEኢየሩሳለም ቶስ ጋባላማ ዛይቲ ካበያራ ጋ ታኮአላታሮ ዎዳም ጉት ካግሮ ማማን ካፋገ ታአማማቶ ባንኤ ጎጎጌይ የሱሳ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረንኮ ላማ ፋረ።BSBBSB: As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent out two disciples,
2. 2BSWEሃና አመ፥ “እስን ሆረ ካግሮ ማማን ቶስ ሴዬን፥ ጎጎጌቴን ደሜርትት ቶ ዳርሜነ ዎታ ታሻንተቶ እስን ሄልናታን፥ ፉራዴነ እን ቶስ አታ ኮዬን።BSBBSB: saying to them, “Go into the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt beside her. Untie them and bring them to Me.
3. 3BSWEማዮና እስኔ ሃ ሙን የላታን ጎአመ፥ ‘ጎታ ዶታታራ’ አማ። ጎርሰዋ ጋፋራንዋ።”BSBBSB: If anyone questions you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”
4. 4BSWEሂክ ካኮንሌራ ካሄገሮይ ሃ አማመ ካሰጋመራ ጎጎጉዳሮንያ።BSBBSB: This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
5. 5BSWE“ጽዮን ታአማማቶ ታኢየሩሳለም ካታማዉን ሃ አም፥ ‘ሂክማ ዎኖካ ፋያንካ ሌጉረ፥ ደሜርትትና ዳርሜት ጉት ሀማጼጉረ ኩ ቶስ ኤመታራ’ አማዴን ኤሰን ሰጋ።”BSBBSB: “Say to the Daughter of Zion, ‘See, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”
6. 6BSWEኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረና ሰተንጉረን የሱሳ አጃጃ እሶን ጎጎስሰሮክ ማለ የሌን።BSBBSB: So the disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them.
7. 7BSWEደሜርትትና ዳርሜት ኬነንጉረን ሳርስክሶ ካደሜሬ ባጋድ ጉት ካዬን፤ የሱሳና ኤሰ ጉት ሀማጼ።BSBBSB: They brought the donkey and the colt and laid their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them.
8. 8BSWEጎሳኮና ጋምሳ ሳርስክሶ ራድ ያዬን፤ ካካለና አደ ባላል ታታርሼን ኣተን ራድ ሉሉጉዴን።BSBBSB: A massive crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
9. 9BSWEሆረሃየ ካሰሰታረና ሃሬ ኡሱ ዴበ ሰሴታ ካግረ ጎሳና፥ “ሆሳኢና ኤረ ካዳዉተ!” “መገ ካዋይ ካኤመታራ ኡሱ ካሶማሳመያ፥” “ሆሳኢና ኤለ ዳሩሪ ሃ አማ ኢያረን።”BSBBSB: The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that followed were shouting: “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!”
10. 10BSWEኢየሩሳለም ቶንሳ ካኮታባረ ጎራታ ካካታማ እባዶ ዱባ፥ “ሂክ አዮያ?” አማ ሻላጋመ።BSBBSB: When Jesus had entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
11. 11BSWEጎሳና፥ “ሂክ ጋሊላይ ታግቶ ታናዝሬት ካታማኮ ካኤመተሮ ካሄገሮ የሱሳያ” አመን።BSBBSB: The crowds replied, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”
12. 12BSWEኤሰኮ የሱሳ ቁሉክ ምን ካዋ ታበጉረ ቁሉክ ምን ካዋይ ኦሮ ኢምናታና ዳዳላታ ኦግረን ቤሰ ሆሮረ፥ ማራጋደ ኦኢግልሳታረንኮክ ጣራጴዛልና አራበ ኦዳዳላታረን ካኮሀማጼራን ቦርቦኖ ምና ምና አባበ ሉጉደረ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling doves.
13. 13BSWE“ምን ካክ ካኤብ ምን አማማራ አማመ ማጻፋ ቁሉክ ጻፋመራ፥ እስን አዴን ካኮሳማራን ላጋ ካሽታ የልተታን” አመ።BSBBSB: And He declared to them, “It is written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer.’ But you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’”
14. 14BSWEቁሉክ ምን ካዋይ ኦሮ ኢልኦ ኦድያኖና ናፋለሳል ኡሱ ቶስ ኤመተን፥ ኡሱና ፋይሰ።BSBBSB: The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple, and He healed them.
15. 15BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን ቱቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻልና ሴራ ኦአጋልስሳራን የሱሳ ካፈላመሮ ባሳና፥ “ሆሳኢና ኤረ ካዳዉቴን” አማ ቁሉክ ምን ካዋ ኦሮ ካኢያረ ይስ ካኮደያረን ጎራታ ኣሎ አማራቴን።BSBBSB: But the chief priests and scribes were indignant when they saw the wonders He performed and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David!”
16. 16BSWEእሶና የሱሳነ “ሂክ ይስ ታአማሮ ማላታ?” አመን። የሱሳና፦ “እ” ማላራ አመ፥ “ ‘ይስኮና ናስ ካኢላታሮ ይስኮት ህኢኮ ጋላታ ኤካሰ ካአማሮ ሱረ ላኮናባብቴታንያ’?” አመ።BSBBSB: “Do You hear what these children are saying?” they asked. “Yes,” Jesus answered. “Have you never read: ‘From the mouths of children and infants You have ordained praise’?”
17. 17BSWEካታማኮ ኢሰ ቤጉረ ብታንያ ካአማራን ማማኒ ሴተ ኤሰ ባሬ።BSBBSB: Then He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where He spent the night.
18. 18BSWEየሱሳ ባር ቡላነ ካታማ ቶስ አባባተ ሰታ ግራን ኡኤ፤BSBBSB: In the morning, as Jesus was returning to the city, He was hungry.
19. 19BSWEራድ ግርዲ ካግረ ጋ ካባላስ ኮ ዴጉረ ካኮሴሮ ጎራታ ባላሎ ኳሬ ኢል ቶና ሄላይን ዋተጉረ፤ “ጎርታ ጅሮማን ኩን ኢል አሮግኖ!” አመ። ጋ ካባላስና ጎርሰዋ አንጋገ።BSBBSB: Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. “May you never bear fruit again!” He said. And immediately the tree withered.
20. 20BSWEኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረና ካሌሮ ዴጉረን ሳደን፥ “ጋ ካባላስ ምሲ ኮይክ አንጋግን ዳንዴ?” አመን።BSBBSB: When the disciples saw this, they marveled and asked, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”
21. 21BSWEየሱሳና፥ “አን ሩምና አማራ፤ አማኖ እስኑን ግረዋ ላኮሄዳታቴን፤ ጋ ካባላስ ጉት ካሌሮ ኣን ፈላኖ ካላል አንሌኖን ግራን ህታ ዎዳም ሂታኮ፥ ‘ታጋምጉደ በከ ኦሮዴ ታብ’ ጎአንቴን እስኑን ላረዋ።BSBBSB: “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
22. 22BSWEአማናቴዴን ኤቢ ካኤባታን ዱባ አታይናታን።”BSBBSB: If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
23. 23BSWEየሱሳ ቁሉክ ምን ካኤብ ቶስ ታበጉረ አጋልስሳ ግራን ቱቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻልና ካጎሳ ጃርሶለ ኤመተንጉረን፥ “ሂካ አየስ ዱባ ካኮፈላታ ኤክ ኦዶናትያ? ኦዶናትና ኩዬን ካስሰራ አዮያ?” አመን ሆሳተን።BSBBSB: When Jesus returned to the temple courts and began to teach, the chief priests and elders of the people came up to Him. “By what authority are You doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave You this authority?”
24. 24BSWEየሱሳና፥ “አንና ሆሲን ቶ እስን ሆሳይናራ፥ አባብ ኢን ጎሰጊቴን አንና ሂካ አየስ ኤክ ኦዶናት አን ፈላሮ እስኑን ሰግናራ።BSBBSB: “I will also ask you one question,” Jesus replied, “and if you answer Me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
25. 25BSWEካያንሳ ጥንቃታ ሀገኮ ኤመተራ? ዳሩርኮያ ሙ እባዶኮያ?” አመ ሆሳተ። እሶና እስ እስ ኦሮ አዬሳ፥ “ኖ ‘ዳሩርኮያ’ ጎአምኔ ሀያ ‘ሙን አማናና ዋተታን?’ አምናራ።BSBBSB: What was the source of John’s baptism? Was it from heaven or from men?” They deliberated among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
26. 26BSWE‘እባዶኮያ’ ጎአምኔ አደ ጎሳና ያንሳ ካሄገሮ አመ ማንኮአማናሮ ማራን ኖ ጎሳ አብሳታና” አመን።BSBBSB: But if we say, ‘From men,’ we are afraid of the people, for they all regard John as a prophet.”
27. 27BSWEሃንሱን “ኖ ላኮካንሶ” አመን የሱሳን አባበን። ኡሱና፥ አንና ሂካ አየስ ኤክ ኦዶናት አን ፈላሮ ላኮሰግናሮ አመ።BSBBSB: So they answered, “We do not know.” And Jesus replied, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
28. 28BSWEየሱሳና፥ “መ ኣን ላራ? ባባር ላማ ካአባ እባዶት ኮ ግረ፤ ካሆሬ ኤረ ቶስ ሴተጉረ፥ ‘ኡኑኬ! ህታር ታዎይኒ ታአካክልተ ባንኤ ቶስ ሴጉዴ ፈሎ ፈልና አመ።’BSBBSB: But what do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first one and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’
29. 29BSWE“ ‘ኡኑና፥ ላኮዳግናሮ’ አመ። ባስኬሳ ማላባተረ አባባተ ሴተ።BSBBSB: ‘I will not,’ he replied. But later he changed his mind and went.
30. 30BSWE“አደ ካላምክ ኤረ ቶስ ሴተጉረ ሂካማሌዋ አመ፥ ኡኑኬሳና፥ ‘እ ኣቦክ! ሴሮዋ’ አመ። አየሱን ጎአመን ሀሴኖን ሄሰ።BSBBSB: Then the man went to the second son and told him the same thing. ‘I will, sir,’ he said. But he did not go.
31. 31BSWE“እሶ ላማ ኦሮኮ ታኦዶ ፈኢ ካአማገራ ኤክያ?” እሶና “ካሆሬ ኡኑያ” አመን። የሱሳና፥ “አን ሩምና አማራ ቃራጣ ኦኩኩይሳራና ኦሻርሙጣራን ዎኖናት ካዋ ቶስ ታብን እስንኮ ጣይናራን።BSBBSB: Which of the two did the will of his father?” “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.
32. 32BSWEካጣማቃራ ያንሳ ቁሉክ ራ ቱስን እስን ቶስ ኤመተራ። እስን አዴን ላኮአማንቴታን፥ ቃራጣ ኦኩኩይሳሬና ኦሻርሙጣራን ጎአመን አማነራን። እስን ሂካ ዴተን ግራን ዱዶ ጩቦኮ ጉላ ጋልቴን ላኮአማንቴታን አመ።BSBBSB: For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
33. 33BSWE“ካካለ ማሱሳ ማላ፤ ካዎይኒ ኢራኮክ ኦዶ ኮ ግረ፥ እራ ማራሙርሰ ኦት ካተ፥ ዎይኒ ካኮሚጭራን ጉምቢና ኦሻተ፥ ዎይኒ ኦኦራራዉን ዴር ማዳረ፥ ኤሰኮ ኢራኬሳ ኦታተን ኦባራራዉን ክራይ ስሰጉረ ኡል ካካለ ኢሰ ሴተ።BSBBSB: Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
34. 34BSWEካም ታኮኩኩይሳታራን ድግኒ ካኮግያተ ጎራታ ታዱባንተቶ ኢልኮ ቆባኬሳ አታይን ኡሱን ኦሀንዳረን ኦታተን ኦባራራን ቶስ ፋረ።BSBBSB: When the harvest time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit.
35. 35BSWE“ኦታተን ኦባራራና ኡሱን ኦሀንዳራን አቤንጉረን ኮ ቦጨን፥ ኮ ላጋዴን፥ ኮ አደን ኤኤሞይ ኤጌን።BSBBSB: But the tenants seized his servants. They beat one, killed another, and stoned a third.
36. 36BSWEኡሱና ኦሆሬኮ ቶቶይ ኦሮራራን ኦካለ ኦሀንዳራን ፋረ፥ ኦታተን ኦባራራና ግዳና ኡሱማሌዋ የሌን።BSBBSB: Again, he sent other servants, more than the first group. But the tenants did the same to them.
37. 37BSWEጎርታኑ ‘እሶ አድ ኡኑኬ ላካባጂራና፥’ አመረ ዳንበኔ ኡኑኬሳ ፋረ።BSBBSB: Finally, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
38. 38BSWE“አየሱን ጎአመን ኦታተን ኦባራራና ኡሱ ኡኑኬሳ ካኮድያረን ጎራታ ሂክ ካኤልናሮያ፥ ኮዬን ላጋድጉኔ ርቲቴሳ ኤልና” አመን እስኦሮ አዬሴን።BSBBSB: But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and take his inheritance.’
39. 39BSWEአቤንጉረን ካዎይኒ ኢራኮ ሳር ቤሰንጉሬን ኡሱ ላጋዴን።BSBBSB: So they seized him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40. 40BSWE“ሀያ ካዎይኒ ኢራኮክ ኦዶ ካኮኤሜተ ጎራታ ሀኑኡ ኦታተን ኦባራራን ኡሱ ምስ ካየልናሮ ኣን እስኑን ላራ?”BSBBSB: Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard returns, what will he do to those tenants?”
41. 41BSWEእሶና “ሀኑኡ ኦሜላን አካማሌ ላጋድጉረ ካዎይኒ ኢራኮ ታዶትሳቶ ኢልኮ ቆባ ጎራታይ ኦአባባራዉን ኦካለ ኦታተን ኦባራራዉን ክራይ ስስናራ” አመን።BSBBSB: “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied, “and will rent out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his share of the fruit at harvest time.”
42. 42BSWEየሱሳና፥ “ኦግንባራን ካቱፋተን ኤኤሞ፥ ምኑን ምና አፋሩን ካዶትሳሮ ሌ፥ ሂካና ካየለራ ዋያ፥ ኢልኦኦታኑን ባሳያ፤ አማመ ቁሉክ ማጻፋል ካጻፋመሮ ላኮናባብቴታንያ?” አመ።BSBBSB: Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
43. 43BSWE“ሃንሱን አን ሃ አማራ፤ ዎኖናት ካዋ እስንኮ አታምጉረ ኢል ካየላታሮ ጎሳን ስሳምናራ።BSBBSB: Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
44. 44BSWEሂካ ኤኤሞ ጉት ካኢያራ ኤኤባራ፤ ኤኤሞና እሶ ጉት ካኮኢያራ እባዶ አደ ቡቱትናራ።”BSBBSB: He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”
45. 45BSWEቱኡቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻልና ፋራሳዊል፥ ሂካ ማሱሳጆል ካኮማላረን ጎራታ የሱሳ ካአዬሳራ ጋራክሶ ላኖ አዴሰን።BSBBSB: When the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they knew that Jesus was speaking about them.
46. 46BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን አብ ሺን ጎዶቴና ጎሳ አደ የሱሳ ካሄገሮ አን ማንኮድያረ ማራን አብሳተን።BSBBSB: Although they wanted to arrest Him, they were afraid of the crowds, because the people regarded Him as a prophet.
