1. 1BSWEየሱሳ ሂካ አየስ ዱባ አዬሰ ካኮጉድሳረ ጎራታ፥ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረነ፥BSBBSB: When Jesus had finished saying all these things, He told His disciples,
2. 2BSWE“አሪ ላማኮ አባባይረ ካፋስካ ባላ ካካባጃምናሮ ላኖ ካሳንዋ፥ ኤረ ካእባዶና ሱዋሚን ሮር ስሳምናራ” አመ።BSBBSB: “You know that the Passover is two days away, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”
3. 3BSWEኤሰኮ አባባተረ ካቱቃሞል ዎይቻልና ጃርሳ ካኡሌ ቀያፋ ካአማማሮ ቱቃሞሉን ኦዶናት ካአቦኮክ አዉዲ ኦሮ ኩኩአመንጉረን፥BSBBSB: At that time the chief priests and elders of the people assembled in the courtyard of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,
4. 4BSWEሚጌይ የሱሳ አቢና ላጋድስስን ማካረን።BSBBSB: and they conspired to arrest Jesus covertly and kill Him.
5. 5BSWE“አየሱን ጎአመን ጎሳ ኦሮ ሻላጎ ጎጎኬኖንኮ ታባላ አሪ አሮሌኖ” አመን ህኢ ቶ ሌን።BSBBSB: “But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”
6. 6BSWEየሱሳ ብታንያይ ማሪ ባር ካአቦ ስሞናኮክ ምኒ ግራን፥BSBBSB: While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper,
7. 7BSWEሄለልትቲ ቶ ዶክ ኣሎ አዉኣሎ ታሌተቶ ሽቶ ካአልባስጢሮስ ብልቃደ ኮይ ኣተ የሱሳ ቶስ ጋባላንተ፥ ባቦ አማ ሀማጼ ግራን መተኬሳ ጉት ሽቶ ክክብተ።BSBBSB: a woman came to Him with an alabaster jar of expensive perfume, which she poured on His head as He reclined at the table.
8. 8BSWEኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ሂካ ካኮድያረን ጎራታ አማራቴን ሃ አመን፥ “ሂክ ዱባ ዳርአኖ ሙንያ?”BSBBSB: When the disciples saw this, they were indignant and asked, “Why this waste?
9. 9BSWE“ህት ሽቶ ካሞጋን ማራጋዴይ ዳዳላምጉደ ህየሳን ስሳምን ዶትሳተ” አመን።BSBBSB: This perfume could have been sold at a high price, and the money given to the poor.”
10. 10BSWEየሱሳና እሶ ካአመራን አዴሰረ፥ “ህታ ሄለልትቲ ሙን ራክሳታን? ኤሰ ኢን ፈሎ ኦኢዳን ፈልተታ አመ።BSBBSB: Aware of this, Jesus asked, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful deed to Me.
11. 11BSWEህየሳል ማጎሬና እስኔ ዎታ ግራን፥ አን ጎአመን አርጌቶ እስኔ ዎታ ላኮግርናሮ፥BSBBSB: The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.
12. 12BSWEኤሰ ህታ ሽቶ ማርኬይ ጉት ክክባኖ እን ቃማልኬዉን ኤካሳኖያ።BSBBSB: By pouring this perfume on Me, she has prepared My body for burial.
13. 13BSWEአን ሩምና አማራ ሂክ ዎንጋላ ማንኮላላባማሮ አላም ዱባ፥ ማራሙር ማኤት ባንኤና ኤሰ ኢን ካፈልተታ ኤሰ ሻዳኖ ሊ ሰጋምናራ” አመ።BSBBSB: Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached in all the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
14. 14BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ ቶሞንኮ ላማኮ ኮ ካሌራ ካአስቆሮቱ ይሁዳ ካአማማራ ካቱቃሞል ዎይቻል ቶስ ሴተጉረ፥BSBBSB: Then one of the Twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
15. 15BSWE“አን የሱሳ እስኑን ሮርስ ጎስሰ እስን አዴን ኢን መ ስስናታን?” አመ፥ እሶና ብር ሶንዶም ኡሱን ቶቴን ስሰን።BSBBSB: and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I hand Him over to you?” And they set out for him thirty pieces of silver.
16. 16BSWEሀሱ ጎራታኮ ሀጋአበረ ይሁዳ የሱሳ ሮርስ ካኮስስሮ ካኤካሮ ጎራታ ዶታ ግረ።BSBBSB: So from then on Judas looked for an opportunity to betray Jesus.
17. 17BSWEካባቦ ባላን ታሆራርጄ አሪ የሱሳኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ኡሱ ቶስ ኤመተንጉረን “አት ካፋስካ ክታ ካሄመነ ጎጎአንቶን ኤቲ ኖ ጎጎኤካንሶን ዶታታ?” አመን።BSBBSB: On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”
18. 18BSWEኡሱና፥ “ካታማ ቶስ ሴየንጉዴን እስኔ ካኤሰለ እባዶት ኮኔ፥ ‘ካአጋልስሳራ ጎራታክ ጋባላመራ እንኮ ኦአጋልሳታራነ ዎታ ካፋስካ ባላ ምንካይ ካባጃይናራ አማራ አማ አመ።’ ”BSBBSB: He answered, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him that the Teacher says, ‘My time is near. I will keep the Passover with My disciples at your house.’”
19. 19BSWEየሱሳኮ ኦአጋልሳታራና ኡሱ ጎጎአጃጄሮክ ማለ ካፋስካ ባላኮክ ክታ ኤካሰን።BSBBSB: So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
20. 20BSWEኡል ሄመን ካኮላረ ጎራታ የሱሳ ቶሞንኮ ላማ ኦፋራሜራነ ዎታ ባቦ ኣምን ሀማጼ።BSBBSB: When evening came, Jesus was reclining with the twelve disciples.
21. 21BSWEየሱሳ ኣሞ ጉት ግራን፥ “አን ሩምና አማራ እስን ኦሮኮ ኮ እን ሮርስ ስስናራ” አመ።BSBBSB: And while they were eating, He said to them, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray Me.”
22. 22BSWEእሶና ኣሎ ያደንጉሬን ቶቶል “ጎታ! አን ሌዉና?” አመን።BSBBSB: They were deeply grieved and began to ask Him one after another, “Surely not I, Lord?”
23. 23BSWEየሱሳና አባበረ፥ “እን ሮርስ ካስስናራ ኢነ ዎታ ያላኣይ ገነ ካዳግሳተሮያ።BSBBSB: Jesus answered, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with Me will betray Me.
24. 24BSWEኤረ ካእባዶ ኡሱ ማራን ጎጎጻፋመሮይ ጎይናራ፥ አየሱን ጎአመን ኤረ ካእባዶ ሮርሰ ካስሳሮን ሀሱ እባዶትን ኣኔ! ኡሱ እባዶት ሀኣላኖን ሄስ ግረዋ ካእዳንየ” አመ።BSBBSB: The Son of Man will go just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed. It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
25. 25BSWEሮርስ ካስስናራ ይሁዳና፥ “ካአጋልስሳቶ! አን ሌዉና?” አመ፥ የሱሳና፥ “አት ካአማታ” አመ።BSBBSB: Then Judas, who would betray Him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus answered, “You have said it yourself.”
26. 26BSWEእሶ አማ ግራና የሱሳ ባቦ ኬሰጉረ ሶማሳተ ኢብሰ ኣተጉረ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራዉን ስሳ፥ “አህአይ አታዬን አማ፥ ሂኒዕ ሶኦተያን” አመ።BSBBSB: While they were eating, Jesus took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is My body.”
27. 27BSWEኤሰኮ ጡጋ ኬሰ ዋ ጋላተጉረ፥ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታሬዉን ስሳ ሃ አመ፥ “እስን ዱባና ህታ ጡጋኮ ጣማ፥BSBBSB: Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
28. 28BSWEካሞጋንኮክ ጩቦን ሻጋ ማራን ካኡባይናራ አማቶ ኦኡሱብ ካአዴስሳራ ኢግክ ሂካያ።BSBBSB: This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
29. 29BSWEአን ጎአመን ሃ አማራ ኣቦኬክ ዎኖናቲ እስኔ ዎታ ሂካ ካኡሱብ ካዎይኒ ጣሞ ታኮጣምናሮ አሪ ታ ጌሮ ህታ ጡጋኮ ሆረንባን ካዎይኒ ጣሞ ላኮጣምናሮ።”BSBBSB: I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in My Father’s kingdom.”
30. 30BSWEማዛሙር ዛማሬን አባባቴንጉረን ዛይቲ ካበያራ ጋ ታኮአላታሮ ዎዳም ቶስ ቤን።BSBBSB: And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
31. 31BSWEየሱሳ አደ፥ “ህታ ሄመን እስን ዱባ እን ካካይናታን፥ ‘አን ካፎፌ ባስናራ ካፎፋማራ ኢዳንዳ ዳርአምናራ አማመ ቁሉክ ማጻፋ ጻፋመራ።’BSBBSB: Then Jesus said to them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of Me. For it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
32. 32BSWE“አየሱን ጎአመን አን ጎይኮ ካኮኬ ጎራታ እስንኮ ጣይ ጋሊላ ቶስ ሴይናራ።”BSBBSB: But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”
33. 33BSWEጴጢሮሳና አባበረ፥ “ካካለ ዱባ ኣላንቲታይ ኩ እስ ጎሴተና አን ጎአመን ዱዶ ኩ እስ ላኮሴሮ” አመ።BSBBSB: Peter said to Him, “Even if all fall away on account of You, I never will.”
34. 34BSWEየሱሳና ጴጢሮሳነ፥ “አን ሩምና አማራ ህታሜን ሉካለ ሀኦይኖን ግራን አት እን ሴድ ጋል ካካይናታ” አመ።BSBBSB: “Truly I tell you,” Jesus declared, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”
35. 35BSWEጴጢሮሳ ጎአመን “አን ኩኔ ዎታ ጎይን ካዶትሳሮ ጎሌና ሱረ አን ኩ ላኮካካይናሮ” አመ። ኩኒዕ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ዱባና ኡሱማሌዋ አመን።BSBBSB: Peter replied, “Even if I have to die with You, I will never deny You.” And all the other disciples said the same thing.
36. 36BSWEኤሰኮ አባባተረ የሱሳ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረነ ዎታ ጌተሰማኒ ታአማማቶ ባንኤ ቶ ሴተ፥ እሶነ “አን ኣራ ሴይጉረ ታ ኤባሮይ እስን ህታኒ ግራ” አመ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus went with His disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and He told them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
37. 37BSWEሴታ ግራን ጴጢሮሳና ይስ ካዛብዶሳ ላማ ዎታ ኣተ ሴተ፥ ጋዳና ጫናቃማኖ ሀጋአበ።BSBBSB: He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.
38. 38BSWEኤሰኮና “አን ታጎሮ ኣሎ ጫናቃመራ፥ ኢነ ዎታ ናባዳ ህታኒ ግራ” አመ።BSBBSB: Then He said to them, “My soul is consumed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me.”
39. 39BSWEአባራንቲ ሽጲመጉረ ሆረሆረ በቤዲ ኡል ኦየረ “ኣቦኬ! ህት ታራኮ ጡጋ እንኮ ሀቡይቶ፥ አየሱን ጎአመን ፈኢቴ ማለ ሀሌኖን ግራን ፈኢታ ማለ ሀሌዎ” አመ ኤባተ።BSBBSB: Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”
40. 40BSWEኤሰኮ አባባተጉረ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን ቶስ ጎኤሜሮ ኦሁዱሬራን ዴጉረ ጴጢሮሳነ፥ “ዱዶ ኢነ ዎታ ሳቲ ቶና ናባድ ግራና ዋተን?”BSBBSB: Then Jesus returned to the disciples and found them sleeping. “Were you not able to keep watch with Me for one hour?” He asked Peter.
41. 41BSWE“ጫፍት ኦሮድ ጎጎታቦንኮ ናባዳ ኤባየን፥ አያና ኤካተ ግራ፥ ሶ ጎአመን ሀራራን” አመ።BSBBSB: “Watch and pray so that you will not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”
42. 42BSWEአደ ካላም ሴተጉረ “ኣቦኬ! ህት ታራኮ ጡጋ አን ሀጣሞን ግራን ታሮሮን ጎሌተ ፈኢታክ ማለ ሀሌቶ” አመ ኤባተ።BSBBSB: A second time He went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass unless I drink it, may Your will be done.”
43. 43BSWEካላም አባባይ ካኮኤሜሮ ጎራታ ሁዱሮ ማንኮጌተተ ማራን ሁዱረን ኦግራን ዴ።BSBBSB: And again Jesus returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
44. 44BSWEግዳና እሶ ኢሰጉረ አደ ካሴድ ሴተጉረ ሆረ ካኤባተረ ኤብ አደ ኤባተ።BSBBSB: So He left them and went away once more and prayed a third time, saying the same thing.
45. 45BSWEኤሰኮና ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ቶስ አባባተ ኤመተረ፥ “ግዳና ሀራፍንቴን ሁዱርቴታን? ህትማ ሳቲ ጋባላንተታ፥ ኤረ ካእባዶ ጩባለይኮት ገነይ ሮር ስሳምናራ።BSBBSB: Then He returned to the disciples and said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46. 46BSWEክያ ሴኖ፥ ሮርስ ካስስናራ ኤመታ ግራ!” አመ።BSBBSB: Rise, let us go! See, My betrayer is approaching!”
47. 47BSWEየሱሳ አዬሳ ግራን ቶሞንኮ ላማኮ ኮ ካሌራ ይሁዳ ካቱቃሞል ዎይቻልና ታኡሌ ጃርሶለኮ ኦፋራመራን ሺፋና ዱላ ካአበራ እባዶ ካሞጋና ዎታ ግረ።BSBBSB: While Jesus was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48. 48BSWEየሱሳ ሮርሰ ካስሰራ ይሁዳና፥ “አን ካአንጋታራ ኡሱያ አባ” አመ ማላታ ስሰ ማንኮግረ ማራን፥BSBBSB: Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The One I kiss is the man; arrest Him.”
49. 49BSWEጎርሰዋ የሱሳ ቶስ ሴተጉረ፥ “ካአጋልስሳቶ! ኖጎዳ ኢደግቶ” አመ ኡሱ አንጋተ።BSBBSB: Going directly to Jesus, he said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.
50. 50BSWEየሱሳና፥ “አን ካጌላታሮ! ታኮንኤመተቶ ሃጃ ጉሳ” አመ፥ ሀሱ ጎራታ እባዶ ጋባላመጉረ የሱሳ አበ ሽየ።BSBBSB: “Friend,” Jesus replied, “do what you came for.” Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus, and arrested Him.
51. 51BSWEየሱሳነ ዎታ ካግረኮ ኮ ገነ ኬሰጉረ ሺፋይ ቱቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻቲን ካሀንዳረኮት ነበ ጎሰ።BSBBSB: At this, one of Jesus’ companions drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
52. 52BSWEየሱሳና፥ “ሺፋካ ኮፎ ኦሮ ታብስ፥” “ሺፋ ካምአታራ ሺፋይ ጎዋራ፥BSBBSB: “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him. “For all who draw the sword will die by the sword.
53. 53BSWEጎዶትሰ አን ኣቦኬ ጎኤባየ ኩማ ካሞጋን ካቶታምሮ ኤርግቻል እን ካፋሮን ኣን ላራ?BSBBSB: Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
54. 54BSWEሂክ ሃ ጎሌ አደ ቁሉክ ማጻፋ ልናራ አማመ ካጻፋመራ ምሲ ጉዳታራ?” አመ።BSBBSB: But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”
55. 55BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ የሱሳ ጎሳነ፥ “ሽታ አብን ካኤሜታሮ እባዶ ኣን ሺፋልና ዱላል አብቴንደን እን አብን ኤሜቴን? አርጌቶ ቁሉክ ምን ካኤብ ሀማጼ አን እስን ጎአጋልስሳረ ላኮአብተቴን።BSBBSB: At that time Jesus said to the crowd, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would an outlaw? Every day I sat teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest Me.
56. 56BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን ሂክ ዱባ ካኮንሌራ ቁሉክ ካሄገሮልኮክ ማጻፋይ ካጻፋመራ ጎጎጉዳሮንያ” ሀሱ ጎራታ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ዱባ ኡሱ ኢሰን ባቃተን።BSBBSB: But this has all happened so that the writings of the prophets would be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples deserted Him and fled.
57. 57BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ የሱሳ ካአበራ እባዶ ሴራ ካሙሴ ኦአጋልስሳራና ጃርሳ ካኡሌ ኩኩመ ታኮግረ ቱቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻት ቀያፋ ቶስ ኡሱ ጌሰን።BSBBSB: Those who had arrested Jesus led Him away to the house of Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and elders had gathered.
58. 58BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን ጴጢሮሳ ፋክመጉረ ካቱቃሞል ዎይቻትኮክ አዉድ ታ ጌሮ ኡሱ ዴበ ሰሴታ ግረ፥ ኦሮዴ ታበጉረ አየስ ታልናሮ ድን ኦኦራኔነ ዎታ ሀማጼ።BSBBSB: But Peter followed Him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest. And he went in and sat down with the guards to see the outcome.
59. 59BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ ቱቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻትና ካአይሁድ ሾንጎ ዱባ የሱሳ ላጋድስስን ካጣራ አቶ ዶታ ግረን፥BSBBSB: Now the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking false testimony against Jesus in order to put Him to death.
60. 60BSWEካሞጋን ካጣራ አቶጆል ጎኤሜተና አቶ ካሌሮ ላኮሄላቴራን፥ ዳንበኔ ጎአመን እባዶ ላማ ጋባላመረ፥BSBBSB: But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward
61. 61BSWE“ሂክ እባዶት ቁሉክ ‘ምን ካኤብ ባስጉረ አሪ ሴድ ኦሮ አባብ ማዳርን ዳንዳራ’ አመራ” አማ አዬሴን።BSBBSB: and declared, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”
62. 62BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ ቱቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻት ኬ አሌጉረ፥ “ሂክ እባዶ ካአቶቴሮ ዱባን ኮና አባብ ላኮአባባቶያ?” አመ።BSBBSB: So the high priest stood up and asked Him, “Have You no answer? What are these men testifying against You?”
63. 63BSWEየሱሳና ጎአመን ጫልኢ አመ። ቱኡቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻት የሱሳነ፥ “አን ኩ አርዶክ መገ ካዋይ አበራ፥ አት ክርስቶሳ ኤረ ካዋ ጎሌተ ኖን ሰጊ?” አመ።BSBBSB: But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to Him, “I charge You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God.”
64. 64BSWEየሱሳና፥ “አትዋ እሲ አንተታ፥ አየሱን ጎአመን እስን ዱባና ሰጊሮ ሂታኮ ሆረንባን ኤረ ካእባዶ ሁና ካዋኮት መርጌ ሀማጺረ ካዳሩረ ዱማንቻይ ኦሮ ኤመታ ግራን ድናታን” አመ።BSBBSB: “You have said it yourself,” Jesus answered. “But I say to all of you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65. 65BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ ቱቃሞልኮክ ዎይቻት ሳርስኬሳ ፊለጉረ፥ “ሂክ ዋ ሀባረራ፤ ሂካኮ ካካለ ምስክ አቶ ዶትሳራ? ኡሱ ዋ ሀባራ አዬሳኖ እስንዋ ማልቴታን አመ።BSBBSB: At this, the high priest tore his clothes and declared, “He has blasphemed! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy.
66. 66BSWEመ አን እስኑን ላራ?” አመ። “እሶና ጎይን ዶትሳራ” አመን አባበን።BSBBSB: What do you think?” “He deserves to die,” they answered.
67. 67BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ በቤድቴሳ ሀንጩፈ ቱፋ ባላባንጆ ባሳ፥BSBBSB: Then they spit in His face and struck Him. Others slapped Him
68. 68BSWE“ክርስቶሳ! አዮያ ኩ ካባሰ? አላ ሄገሮ አየስ” አመን።BSBBSB: and said, “Prophesy to us, Christ! Who hit You?”
69. 69BSWEኤሰኮ አባባተረ ጴጢሮሳ ካቱቃሞል ዎይቻትኮክ አዉዲ ኦሮ ሀማጼ ግራን ድይት ቶ ኡሱ ቶስ ጋባላንተጉደ “አት ካጋሊላ የሱሳነ ዎታ ግቴዋ” አንተ።BSBBSB: Meanwhile, Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came up to him. “You also were with Jesus the Galilean,” she said.
70. 70BSWEኡሱ ጎአመን፥ “አት ማመ አማቶ አን ላካሶ አማ ዱባይ ሆረ ካካተ።”BSBBSB: But he denied it before them all: “I do not know what you are talking about.”
71. 71BSWEአዉድኮ ካኮበያራን ካራነ ብን ሴታ ግራን ታካለ ድይት ጴጢሮሳ ዴተጉዴ ኤሰ ካግረ እባዶዉን “ሂክ እባዶት ካናዝረት የሱሳነ ዎታ ግረ” አንተ።BSBBSB: When Peter had gone out to the gateway, another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
72. 72BSWEጴጢሮሳን ካአማቶ ሃፉራይ “ሂካ እባዶት አን ላካሶ” አማ ካላም ካካተ።BSBBSB: And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man!”
73. 73BSWEአባራን ጋጭመጉረ ኤሰ አሌ ካግረ እባዶ ጴጢሮሳ ቶስ ጋባላመንጉረን፥ “አዬስካዋ አዴስሳራ፥ ኦግራን አትና እሶኮ ኮታ” አመን።BSBBSB: After a little while, those standing nearby came up to Peter. “Surely you are one of them,” they said, “for your accent gives you away.”
74. 74BSWEኡሱና አማታና ቃንጋ “አን ኡሱ እባዶት ላኮካሶ” አመ። ሀሱ ጎራታ ሉካለና ኦየ።BSBBSB: At that he began to curse and swear to them, “I do not know the man!” And immediately a rooster crowed.
75. 75BSWEጎርሰዋ፥ ጴጢሮሳ “ሉካለ ሀኦይኖን ግራን ሴድ ጋል አት እን ካካዪናታ” አመ። የሱሳ ካአዬሰራ ሃፉራ ኡሱን ቃል አመ። ጴጢሮሳና ሳርዴ ቤጉረ ዩሩሩ አመ ኦተ።BSBBSB: Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.
