1. 1CMNFEB这封信所讲述的，伊始之际便存在的生命之道，我们曾听见、曾亲眼所看见、曾仔细观察、曾亲手触摸。BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2CMNFEB这生命已向我们显现；我们曾见过，也曾对其进行见证, 并且向你们讲述过那曾与父同在、曾向我们显现的永恒生命。BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3CMNFEB现在，我们把所见所闻向你们讲述，让你们也可以与我们分享这友谊——这是与父、与父之子耶稣基督的友谊。BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4CMNFEB我们之所以写这些事，是为了让我们的幸福更加完整。BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5CMNFEB上帝是光，在他那里完全没有黑暗。这就是我们从他那里获得的、现在向你们宣讲的信息。BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6CMNFEB如果我们说自己与他享有友谊，但却生活在黑暗里，那就是我们在说谎，并非在实行真理。BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7CMNFEB但如果我们生活在光中，就像他在光中，我们就彼此分享友谊，他儿子耶稣的血就会让我们洁净，脱离所有罪。BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8CMNFEB如果我们说自己没有罪，那是自欺，就不是行真理。BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9CMNFEB但如果我们承认自己的罪，上帝是值得信任的、是正直良善的，必定原谅我们的罪，让我们洁净，让我们脱离所有不义。BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10CMNFEB如果我们声称自己没有罪，就是把上帝当作说谎者，他的道就不会在我们之中。BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
