1. 1CMNFEB耶稣向门徒讲了一个故事：“从前有个财主，有人指控他的管家浪费主人的财物。BSBBSB: Jesus also said to His disciples, “There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions.
2. 2CMNFEB主人把管家叫来，对他说：‘我听说了关于你的事情，怎么会这样？把你管的账目拿来，你不能再做管家了。’BSBBSB: So he called him in to ask, ‘What is this I hear about you? Turn in an account of your management, for you cannot be manager any longer.’
3. 3CMNFEB管家心想：‘主人不让我继续做管家，我又该做什么呢？去锄地没有力气！去讨饭又太羞耻了！BSBBSB: The manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do, now that my master is taking away my position? I am too weak to dig and too ashamed to beg.
4. 4CMNFEB对了，我知道该做什么了。这样做，如果我不再当管家，就会有人让我去他们家做工。’BSBBSB: I know what I will do so that after my removal from management, people will welcome me into their homes.’
5. 5CMNFEB于是他找来欠他主人债的人。他问第一个人：‘你欠我主人多少？’BSBBSB: And he called in each one of his master’s debtors. ‘How much do you owe my master?’ he asked the first.
6. 6CMNFEB那人说：‘一百桶油。’管家说：‘那快坐下来，拿着你的欠条，把它改成五十桶。’BSBBSB: ‘A hundred measures of olive oil,’ he answered. ‘Take your bill,’ said the manager, ‘sit down quickly, and write fifty.’
7. 7CMNFEB他又问另外一人：‘你欠多少？’那人说：‘一百包麦子。’管家说：‘给你欠条，改成八十包。’BSBBSB: Then he asked another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ ‘A hundred measures of wheat,’ he replied. ‘Take your bill and write eighty,’ he told him.
8. 8CMNFEB他的主人夸奖了这位不诚实的管家，称他做事机警，因为现世之子在对待彼此的时候，比光之子更狡诈。BSBBSB: The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the sons of this age are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the sons of light.
9. 9CMNFEB我告诉你们，用现世的财富去结交你的朋友，这样当你失去钱财后，就可以进入永恒之家。BSBBSB: I tell you, use worldly wealth to make friends for yourselves so that when it is gone, they will welcome you into eternal dwellings.
10. 10CMNFEB如果你在极小的事情上可以获得信任，大事也是如此。如果你在极小的事情上不诚实，大事也会不诚实。BSBBSB: Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
11. 11CMNFEB如果你在现世财富方面不值得信任，谁还会把真实的财富托付给你们？BSBBSB: So if you have not been faithful with worldly wealth, who will entrust you with true riches?
12. 12CMNFEB如果你们对别人的东西不忠心，谁还把自己的东西交给你们呢？BSBBSB: And if you have not been faithful with the belongings of another, who will give you belongings of your own?
13. 13CMNFEB一个仆人不能服侍两个主人，他必会喜欢一人，讨厌另一人，或忠于一人而背离另一人。你们不能同时服侍上帝和金钱。”BSBBSB: No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
14. 14CMNFEB视财如命的法利赛人听见这些话，便开始嘲笑耶稣。BSBBSB: The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all of this and were scoffing at Jesus.
15. 15CMNFEB但耶稣对他们说：“你们在人前自称善人，上帝却知道你们在想什么。因为人所看中的，正是上帝所憎恶的。BSBBSB: So He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is prized among men is detestable before God.
16. 16CMNFEB律法和先知所写的，持续到约翰为止。此后所传递的就是上帝之国的福音，人人都努力想要挤进上帝之国。BSBBSB: The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the gospel of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
17. 17CMNFEB但相比天地终会消散，律法文字中哪怕是最小的一个点，也更不容易消失。BSBBSB: But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.
18. 18CMNFEB如果你休妻另娶，就犯了奸淫之罪。如果你娶了被休之妻，同样也是犯了奸淫之罪。BSBBSB: Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
19. 19CMNFEB从前有一个财主很富有，总是身穿紫袍和精致的麻衣，过着奢华无度的日子。BSBBSB: Now there was a rich man dressed in purple and fine linen, who lived each day in joyous splendor.
20. 20CMNFEB有个满身长疮的乞丐名叫拉撒路，他经常坐在财主门口，BSBBSB: And a beggar named Lazarus lay at his gate, covered with sores
21. 21CMNFEB希望用财主饭桌上掉下的残渣充饥，甚至还有狗跑来舔他的疮。BSBBSB: and longing to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22. 22CMNFEB后来乞丐死了，天使们将他送到亚伯拉罕那里。财主也死了，被埋在土里。BSBBSB: One day the beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. And the rich man also died and was buried.
23. 23CMNFEB财主在阴间受尽折磨，于是向上望去，看到了亚伯拉罕和他身边的拉撒路。BSBBSB: In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham from afar, with Lazarus by his side.
24. 24CMNFEB于是财主喊着说：‘我父亚伯拉罕啊，可怜可怜我吧！派拉撒路来用手指蘸点水，冰冰我的舌头！我在这火焰炙烤的太难熬了。’BSBBSB: So he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. For I am in agony in this fire.’
25. 25CMNFEB但亚伯拉罕回复道：‘我的孩子，想想你生前享过的福，那时拉撒路过着穷苦的生活。现在他在这里过得很舒适，你就要受苦。BSBBSB: But Abraham answered, ‘Child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things. But now he is comforted here, while you are in agony.
26. 26CMNFEB不仅如此，我们和你们之间还隔着一道深渊，从我这边根本无法去你那边，你们那边也无法到我们这边。’BSBBSB: And besides all this, a great chasm has been fixed between us and you, so that even those who wish cannot cross from here to you, nor can anyone cross from there to us.’
27. 27CMNFEB财主说：‘我父啊，那么求你派拉撒路到我父亲的家里去，BSBBSB: ‘Then I beg you, father,’ he said, ‘send Lazarus to my father’s house,
28. 28CMNFEB因为我有五个兄弟，他可以警告他们，免得他们最终也到这痛苦之地。’BSBBSB: for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also end up in this place of torment.’
29. 29CMNFEB亚伯拉罕说：‘摩西和先知都在他们那边，你的兄弟应该听他们的。’BSBBSB: But Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let your brothers listen to them.’
30. 30CMNFEB财主说：‘不行啊，我父亚伯拉罕。如果出现在他们面前的人是死而复生，他们必定会悔改！’BSBBSB: ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone is sent to them from the dead, they will repent.’
31. 31CMNFEB亚伯拉罕对他说：‘如果他们不听从摩西和先知的话，就算有人死而复生，他们也不会信服。’”BSBBSB: Then Abraham said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”
