1. 1CMNFEB之后，施洗者约翰出现，在犹太的荒野中传道。BSBBSB: In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea
2. 2CMNFEB他说：“悔改吧，因为天国已降临。”BSBBSB: and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”
3. 3CMNFEB约翰便是以赛亚先知曾预言的那个人。预言曾说：在荒野一个声音在呼喊：“预备主的道，修直他的路！”BSBBSB: This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.’”
4. 4CMNFEB约翰身穿驼毛衣服，腰束皮带，以蝗虫和野蜜为食。BSBBSB: John wore a garment of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
5. 5CMNFEB人们从耶路撒冷、犹太全地和约旦河一带赶来，来到他的身边，BSBBSB: People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region around the Jordan.
6. 6CMNFEB向他忏悔自己的罪，在约旦河中接受他的施洗。BSBBSB: Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
7. 7CMNFEB但约翰看见很多法利赛人和撒都该人也来此受洗，便对他们说：“你们乃毒蛇之子，谁告诉你们可以逃离那即将到来的审判？BSBBSB: But when John saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his place of baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8. 8CMNFEB你们要拿出行动，证明真心悔改。BSBBSB: Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance.
9. 9CMNFEB不要心中暗自产生傲慢的想法：‘亚伯拉罕就是我们的祖先。’我告诉你们，上帝可以用这些石头创造亚伯拉罕的后裔。BSBBSB: And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
10. 10CMNFEB事实上，砍树的斧子已经准备好，所有结不出好果子的树，都会被砍倒丢入火中。BSBBSB: The axe lies ready at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
11. 11CMNFEB是的，我是用水为你们施洗，显示你们的悔改。但在我之后，还会出现一位比我更伟大之人，我甚至连替他提鞋的资格都没有，他将用圣灵和火为你们施洗。BSBBSB: I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
12. 12CMNFEB他手里拿着簸谷工具，他将清理打谷场，把麦子收进谷仓，然后用不灭之火把谷壳烧尽。”BSBBSB: His winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and to gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
13. 13CMNFEB这时，耶稣从加利利来到约旦河，走到约翰处准备接受他的施洗。BSBBSB: At that time Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.
14. 14CMNFEB约翰想要阻止他，说：“我本应由受你施洗，你却要让我来为你施洗吗？”BSBBSB: But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?”
15. 15CMNFEB耶稣答道：“请这样做吧。我们应遵循上帝说是正确之事。”于是约翰便答应下来。BSBBSB: “Let it be so now,” Jesus replied. “It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness in this way.” Then John permitted Him.
16. 16CMNFEB当耶稣受洗后从水中立起；忽然天空敞开，他看见上帝之灵降落，如鸽子般落在他身上。BSBBSB: As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him.
17. 17CMNFEB天空传来一个声音，说：“这是吾子，他让我欢喜。”BSBBSB: And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”
