1. 1CMNSWCB论到生命之道：这生命之道从起初就有。我们听见过，亲眼看见过，仔细观察过，也亲手摸过。BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2CMNSWCB这生命已经显现，我们看见了，就为此作见证，并把这生命传给你们；这就是永恒的生命，原与父同在，如今向我们显现了。BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3CMNSWCB我们把所见所闻传给你们，好让你们也与我们相交；而我们所享有的相交，是与父、与祂的儿子耶稣基督相交。BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4CMNSWCB我们写这些事，是要使我们的喜乐圆满。BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5CMNSWCB我们从祂那里听见并传给你们的信息就是：上帝是光，在祂里面没有丝毫黑暗。BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6CMNSWCB我们若说与祂相交，却仍活在黑暗中，就是在说谎，没有说真话。BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7CMNSWCB但我们若活在光中，正如祂在光中，我们就彼此相交；祂儿子耶稣基督的血也洗净我们一切的罪。BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8CMNSWCB我们若说自己没有罪，就是自欺，真理也不在我们里面。BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9CMNSWCB我们若承认自己的罪，祂是信实而公义的，必赦免我们的罪，洁净我们，除去一切不义。BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10CMNSWCB我们若说自己从未犯过罪，就等于说祂在说谎，祂的话也不在我们里面。BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
