1. 1CMNSWCB后来，摩西和亚伦来对法老说：“耶和华——以色列的上帝这样说：‘让我的百姓去，好在旷野向我守节。’”BSBBSB: After that, Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Let My people go, so that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.’”
2. 2CMNSWCB法老说：“耶和华是谁，我竟要听从祂的话，让以色列去呢？我不认识耶和华，而且我也不会让以色列去。”BSBBSB: But Pharaoh replied, “Who is the LORD that I should obey His voice and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, and I will not let Israel go.”
3. 3CMNSWCB他们说：“希伯来人的上帝已经与我们相会。请让我们往旷野走三天的路程，向耶和华我们的上帝献祭，免得祂用瘟疫或刀剑攻击我们。”BSBBSB: “The God of the Hebrews has met with us,” they answered. “Please let us go on a three-day journey into the wilderness to sacrifice to the LORD our God, or He may strike us with plagues or with the sword.”
4. 4CMNSWCB埃及王对他们说：“摩西、亚伦，你们为什么使百姓离开他们的工作？回去做你们的苦工吧！”BSBBSB: But the king of Egypt said to them, “Moses and Aaron, why do you draw the people away from their work? Get back to your labor!”
5. 5CMNSWCB法老又说：“看哪，如今这地的百姓已经很多，你们竟叫他们歇下，不做苦工。”BSBBSB: Pharaoh also said, “Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you would be stopping them from their labor.”
6. 6CMNSWCB当天，法老吩咐百姓的督工和他们的官长说：BSBBSB: That same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters of the people and their foremen:
7. 7CMNSWCB“你们不可再像从前一样把草给百姓做砖。让他们自己去捡草。BSBBSB: “You shall no longer supply the people with straw for making bricks. They must go and gather their own straw.
8. 8CMNSWCB他们从前做砖的数目，你们仍要照数向他们索取，一点也不可减少；因为他们懒惰，所以他们呼喊说：‘让我们去向我们的上帝献祭吧。’BSBBSB: But require of them the same quota of bricks as before; do not reduce it. For they are lazy; that is why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’
9. 9CMNSWCB要把更重的工作加在这些人身上，使他们在其中劳碌；不要让他们理会虚谎的话。”BSBBSB: Make the work harder on the men so they will be occupied and pay no attention to these lies.”
10. 10CMNSWCB百姓的督工和他们的官长出去，对百姓说：“法老这样说：‘我不给你们草。BSBBSB: So the taskmasters and foremen of the people went out and said to them, “This is what Pharaoh says: ‘I am no longer giving you straw.
11. 11CMNSWCB你们自己去，在能找到的地方取草；但你们的工作一点也不可减少。’”BSBBSB: Go and get your own straw wherever you can find it; but your workload will in no way be reduced.’”
12. 12CMNSWCB于是百姓分散到埃及全地，捡碎秸当作草。BSBBSB: So the people scattered all over the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw.
13. 13CMNSWCB督工催逼他们说：“你们每天要完成当天的工作定额，像有草的时候一样！”BSBBSB: The taskmasters kept pressing them, saying, “Fulfill your quota each day, just as you did when straw was provided.”
14. 14CMNSWCB法老的督工所派管理以色列子孙的官长被打，并被质问说：“你们昨天和今天为什么没有像从前一样完成做砖的定额呢？”BSBBSB: Then the Israelite foremen, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over the people, were beaten and asked, “Why have you not fulfilled your quota of bricks yesterday or today, as you did before?”
15. 15CMNSWCB于是以色列子孙的官长来向法老呼求说：“你为什么这样待你的仆人呢？BSBBSB: So the Israelite foremen went and appealed to Pharaoh: “Why are you treating your servants this way?
16. 16CMNSWCB草没有给你的仆人，却有人对我们说：‘做砖！’看哪，你的仆人被打；但错在你自己的百姓。”BSBBSB: No straw has been given to your servants, yet we are told, ‘Make bricks!’ Look, your servants are being beaten, but the fault is with your own people.”
17. 17CMNSWCB法老却说：“你们懒惰！你们懒惰！所以你们说：‘让我们去向耶和华献祭吧。’BSBBSB: “You are slackers!” Pharaoh replied. “Slackers! That is why you keep saying, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.’
18. 18CMNSWCB现在去工作吧！草不会给你们；砖却要照同样的数目交上来！”BSBBSB: Now get to work. You will be given no straw, yet you must deliver the full quota of bricks.”
19. 19CMNSWCB以色列子孙的官长听见“你们每天做砖的数目一点不可减少”，就知道自己陷入祸患了。BSBBSB: The Israelite foremen realized they were in trouble when they were told, “You must not reduce your daily quota of bricks.”
20. 20CMNSWCB他们从法老那里出来的时候，遇见摩西和亚伦站在路旁。BSBBSB: When they left Pharaoh, they confronted Moses and Aaron, who stood waiting to meet them.
21. 21CMNSWCB他们对二人说：“愿耶和华察看你们并施行审判，因为你们使我们在法老眼中和他臣仆眼中成了可憎的臭气，把刀交在他们手中来杀我们！”BSBBSB: “May the LORD look upon you and judge you,” the foremen said, “for you have made us a stench before Pharaoh and his officials; you have placed in their hand a sword to kill us!”
22. 22CMNSWCB摩西回到耶和华那里，说：“主啊，你为什么使这百姓遭祸呢？你为什么差遣我呢？BSBBSB: So Moses returned to the LORD and asked, “Lord, why have You brought trouble upon this people? Is this why You sent me?
23. 23CMNSWCB自从我到法老那里奉你的名说话以来，他就使这百姓遭祸；你却丝毫没有拯救你的百姓！”BSBBSB: Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and You have not delivered Your people in any way.”
