Luke 3 (CMNSWCB)

1提庇留凯撒在位第十五年，本丢彼拉多作犹太总督，希律作加利利分封的王，他兄弟腓力作以土利亚和特拉可尼地方分封的王，吕撒聂作亚比利尼分封的王，In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, while Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, Herod tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,

2亚那和该亚法任大祭司的时候，上帝的话临到旷野里撒迦利亚的儿子约翰。during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness.

3他就来到约旦河一带地方，宣讲悔改的洗礼，使罪得赦。He went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,

4正如先知以赛亚话语的书上所写的： “在旷野有人呼喊的声音： ‘预备主的道路，修直祂的路径。as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.

5一切山谷都要填满，大山小丘都要削平；弯曲的要变为笔直，崎岖的道路要变为平坦；Every valley shall be filled in, and every mountain and hill made low. The crooked ways shall be made straight, and the rough ways smooth.

6凡有血肉的，都要看见上帝的救恩。’”And all humanity will see God’s salvation.’”

7约翰对出来要受他洗的众人说：“毒蛇的后代啊！谁指示你们逃避将来的愤怒呢？Then John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

8你们要结出与悔改相称的果子，不要自己心里说：‘我们有亚伯拉罕作我们的父。’我告诉你们，上帝能从这些石头中给亚伯拉罕兴起子孙来！Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

9现在斧子已经放在树根上；凡不结好果子的树，都要砍下来，丢进火里。”The axe lies ready at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”

10众人问他：“这样，我们该做什么呢？”The crowds asked him, “What then should we do?”

11他回答说：“有两件衣服的，就分给没有的；有食物的，也当这样做。”John replied, “Whoever has two tunics should share with him who has none, and whoever has food should do the same.”

12税吏也来受洗，对他说：“老师，我们该做什么呢？”Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?”

13他对他们说：“除了规定的数目，不要多收。”“Collect no more than you are authorized,” he answered.

14士兵也问他说：“那我们呢？我们该做什么？” 他对他们说：“不要以暴力勒索人，也不要诬告人；要以自己的粮饷为满足。”Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” “Do not take money by force or false accusation,” he said. “Be content with your wages.”

15百姓正在期待，人人心里都在议论约翰，或者他就是基督。The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John could be the Christ.

16约翰就对众人说：“我是用水给你们施洗，但有一位能力比我更大的要来；我连解祂鞋带也不配。祂要用圣灵与火给你们施洗。John answered all of them: “I baptize you with water, but One more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

17祂手里拿着簸箕，要彻底清理祂的禾场，把麦子收进仓里，却要用不灭的火烧尽糠秕。”His winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and to gather the wheat into His barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

18约翰又用许多别的劝勉，向百姓传福音。With these and many other exhortations, John proclaimed the good news to the people.

19但分封的王希律，因他兄弟的妻子希罗底的事，又因他所行的一切恶事，受了约翰责备，But when he rebuked Herod the tetrarch regarding his brother’s wife Herodias and all the evils he had done,

20就在这一切之外，又添了一件恶事：把约翰关在监里。Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.

21众百姓都受了洗，耶稣也受了洗，正在祷告的时候，天就开了，When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened,

22圣灵以有形的样式仿佛鸽子降在祂身上；又有声音从天上传来，说：“你是我的爱子；我喜悦你。”and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in a bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”

23耶稣开始传道的时候，约有三十岁。按人看来，祂是约瑟的儿子；约瑟是希里的儿子，Jesus Himself was about thirty years old when He began His ministry. He was regarded as the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,

24希里是玛塔的儿子，玛塔是利未的儿子，利未是麦基的儿子，麦基是雅拿的儿子，雅拿是约瑟的儿子，the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph,

25约瑟是玛他提亚的儿子，玛他提亚是阿摩司的儿子，阿摩司是拿鸿的儿子，拿鸿是以斯利的儿子，以斯利是拿该的儿子，the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,

26拿该是玛押的儿子，玛押是玛他提亚的儿子，玛他提亚是西美的儿子，西美是约瑟的儿子，约瑟是犹大的儿子，the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semein, the son of Josech, the son of Joda,

27犹大是约亚拿的儿子，约亚拿是利撒的儿子，利撒是所罗巴伯的儿子，所罗巴伯是撒拉铁的儿子，撒拉铁是尼利的儿子，the son of Joanan, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,

28尼利是麦基的儿子，麦基是亚底的儿子，亚底是哥桑的儿子，哥桑是以摩当的儿子，以摩当是珥的儿子，the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmadam, the son of Er,

37拉麦是玛土撒拉的儿子，玛土撒拉是以诺的儿子，以诺是雅列的儿子，雅列是玛勒列的儿子，玛勒列是该南的儿子，the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan,

38该南是以挪士的儿子，以挪士是塞特的儿子，塞特是亚当的儿子，亚当是上帝的儿子。the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.
