1. Paul’s Greeting to the Galatians

2. 1CPDVPaul, an Apostle, not from men and not through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead,BSBBSB: Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead—
3. 2CPDVand all the brothers who are with me: to the churches of Galatia.BSBBSB: and all the brothers with me, To the churches of Galatia:
4. 3CPDVGrace and peace to you from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,BSBBSB: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
5. 4CPDVwho gave himself on behalf of our sins, so that he might deliver us from this present wicked age, according to the will of God our Father.BSBBSB: who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
6. 5CPDVTo him is glory forever and ever. Amen.BSBBSB: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

7. No Other Gospel

8. 6CPDVI wonder that you have been so quickly transferred, from him who called you into the grace of Christ, over to another gospel.BSBBSB: I am amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—
9. 7CPDVFor there is no other, except that there are some persons who disturb you and who want to overturn the Gospel of Christ.BSBBSB: which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ.
10. 8CPDVBut if anyone, even we ourselves or an Angel from Heaven, were to preach to you a gospel other than the one that we have preached to you, let him be anathema.BSBBSB: But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse!
11. 9CPDVJust as we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone has preached a gospel to you, other than that which you have received, let him be anathema.BSBBSB: As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be under a curse!

12. Paul Preaches the Gospel

13. 10CPDVFor am I now persuading men, or God? Or, am I seeking to please men? If I still were pleasing men, then I would not be a servant of Christ.BSBBSB: Am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
14. 11CPDVFor I would have you understand, brothers, that the Gospel which has been preached by me is not according to man.BSBBSB: For I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached was not devised by man.
15. 12CPDVAnd I did not receive it from man, nor did I learn it, except through the revelation of Jesus Christ.BSBBSB: I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
16. 13CPDVFor you have heard of my former behavior within Judaism: that, beyond measure, I persecuted the Church of God and fought against Her.BSBBSB: For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how severely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.
17. 14CPDVAnd I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my equals among my own kind, having proven to be more abundant in zeal toward the traditions of my fathers.BSBBSB: I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
18. 15CPDVBut, when it pleased him who, from my mother’s womb, had set me apart, and who has called me by his grace,BSBBSB: But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased
19. 16CPDVto reveal his Son within me, so that I might evangelize him among the Gentiles, I did not next seek the consent of flesh and blood.BSBBSB: to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not rush to consult with flesh and blood,
20. 17CPDVNeither did I go to Jerusalem, to those who were Apostles before me. Instead, I went into Arabia, and next I returned to Damascus.BSBBSB: nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles who came before me, but I went into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.
21. 18CPDVAnd then, after three years, I went to Jerusalem to see Peter; and I stayed with him for fifteen days.BSBBSB: Only after three years did I go up to Jerusalem to confer with Cephas, and I stayed with him fifteen days.
22. 19CPDVBut I saw none of the other Apostles, except James, the brother of the Lord.BSBBSB: But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.
23. 20CPDVNow what I am writing to you: behold, before God, I am not lying.BSBBSB: I assure you before God that what I am writing to you is no lie.
24. 21CPDVNext, I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.BSBBSB: Later I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
25. 22CPDVBut I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea, which were in Christ.BSBBSB: I was personally unknown, however, to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
26. 23CPDVFor they had only heard that: “He, who formerly persecuted us, now evangelizes the faith which he once fought.”BSBBSB: They only heard the account: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”
27. 24CPDVAnd they glorified God in me.BSBBSB: And they glorified God because of me.
