BSB BSB: So be on your guard. You will be delivered over to the councils and beaten in the synagogues. On My account you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
10 CPDV And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations. BSB BSB: And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all the nations.
11 CPDV And when they have seized you and handed you over, do not consider in advance what to say. But whatever will be given you in that hour, say that. 20 CPDV And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would be saved. But, for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened the days. BSB BSB: If the Lord had not cut short those days, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom He has chosen, He has cut them short.
21 CPDV And then, if anyone will have said to you: ‘Behold, here is the Christ. Behold, in that place.’ Do not believe it. BSB BSB: At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it.

BSB BSB: It is like a man going on a journey who left his house, put each servant in charge of his own task, and instructed the doorkeeper to keep watch.
35 CPDV Therefore, be vigilant, for you do not know when the lord of the house may arrive: in the evening, or in the middle of the night, or at first light, or in the morning. BSB BSB: Therefore keep watch, because you do not know when the master of the house will return—whether in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning.
36 CPDV Otherwise, when he will have arrived unexpectedly, he may find you sleeping. BSB BSB: Otherwise, he may arrive without notice and find you sleeping.
