4 CPDV He redeems your life from destruction. He crowns you with mercy and compassion. BSB BSB: who redeems your life from the Pit and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion,
5 CPDV He satisfies your desire with good things. Your youth will be renewed like that of the eagle. BSB BSB: who satisfies you with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 CPDV The Lord accomplishes mercies, and his judgment is for all who patiently endure injuries. BSB BSB: The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
7 CPDV He has made his ways known to Moses, his will to the sons of Israel. BSB BSB: He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the people of Israel.
8 CPDV The Lord is compassionate and merciful, patient and full of mercy. BSB BSB: The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion.
9 CPDV He will not be angry forever, and he will not threaten for eternity. BSB BSB: He will not always accuse us, nor harbor His anger forever.
10 CPDV He has not dealt with us according to our sins, and he has not repaid us according to our iniquities. BSB BSB: He has not dealt with us according to our sins or repaid us according to our iniquities.
11 CPDV For according to the height of the heavens above the earth, so has he reinforced his mercy toward those who fear him. BSB BSB: For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His loving devotion for those who fear Him.
12 CPDV As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our iniquities from us. BSB BSB: As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 CPDV As a father is compassionate to his sons, so has the Lord been compassionate to those who fear him. BSB BSB: As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
14 CPDV For he knows our form. He has called to mind that we are dust. BSB BSB: For He knows our frame; He is mindful that we are dust.
15 CPDV Man: his days are like hay. Like the flower of the field, so will he flourish. BSB BSB: As for man, his days are like grass—he blooms like a flower of the field;
16 CPDV For the spirit in him will pass away, and it will not remain, and he will know his place no longer. BSB BSB: when the wind passes over, it vanishes, and its place remembers it no more.
17 CPDV But the mercy of the Lord is from eternity, and even unto eternity, upon those who fear him. And his justice is with the sons of the sons, BSB BSB: But from everlasting to everlasting the loving devotion of the LORD extends to those who fear Him, and His righteousness to their children’s children—
18 CPDV with those who serve his covenant and have been mindful of his commandments by doing them. BSB BSB: to those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts.
19 CPDV The Lord has prepared his throne in heaven, and his kingdom will rule over all. BSB BSB: The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.
20 CPDV Bless the Lord, all you his Angels: powerful in virtue, doing his word, in order to heed the voice of his discourse. BSB BSB: Bless the LORD, all His angels mighty in strength who carry out His word, who hearken to the voice of His command.
21 CPDV Bless the Lord, all his hosts: his ministers who do his will. BSB BSB: Bless the LORD, all His hosts, you servants who do His will.
22 CPDV Bless the Lord, all his works: in every place of his dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul. BSB BSB: Bless the LORD, all His works in all places of His dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul!
