Give Ear to My Words 1 CPDV Unto the end. For her who pursues the inheritance. A Psalm of David. O Lord, listen closely to my words. Understand my outcry. BSB BSB: For the choirmaster, to be accompanied by flutes. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my groaning.
2 CPDV Attend to the voice of my prayer, my King and my God. BSB BSB: Attend to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I pray.
3 CPDV For to you, I will pray. In the morning, Lord, you will hear my voice. BSB BSB: In the morning, O LORD, You hear my voice; at daybreak I lay my plea before You and wait in expectation.
4 CPDV In the morning, I will stand before you, and I will see. For you are not a God who wills iniquity. BSB BSB: For You are not a God who delights in wickedness; no evil can dwell with You.
5 CPDV And the malicious will not dwell close to you, nor will the unjust endure before your eyes. BSB BSB: The boastful cannot stand in Your presence; You hate all workers of iniquity.
6 CPDV You hate all who work iniquity. You will destroy all who speak a lie. The bloody and deceitful man, the Lord will abominate. BSB BSB: You destroy those who tell lies; the LORD abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
7 CPDV But I am in the multitude of your mercy. I will enter your house. I will show adoration toward your holy temple, in your fear. BSB BSB: But I will enter Your house by the abundance of Your loving devotion; in reverence I will bow down toward Your holy temple.
8 CPDV Lord, lead me in your justice. Because of my enemies, direct my way in your sight. BSB BSB: Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make straight Your way before me.
9 CPDV For there is no truth in their mouth: their heart is vain. BSB BSB: For not a word they speak can be trusted; destruction lies within them. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.
10 CPDV Their throat is an open sepulcher. They have acted deceitfully with their tongues. Judge them, O God. Let them fall by their own intentions: according to the multitude of their impiety, expel them. For they have provoked you, O Lord. BSB BSB: Declare them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own devices. Drive them out for their many transgressions, for they have rebelled against You.
11 CPDV But let all those who hope in you rejoice. They will exult in eternity, and you will dwell in them. And all those who love your name will glory in you. BSB BSB: But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy. May You shelter them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.
12 CPDV For you will bless the just. You have crowned us, O Lord, as if with a shield of your good will. BSB BSB: For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of Your favor.
