2 CPDV And his place has been formed with peace. And his dwelling place is in Zion. BSB BSB: His tent is in Salem, His dwelling place in Zion.
3 CPDV In that place, he has broken the powers of the bows, the shield, the sword, and the battle. BSB BSB: There He shattered the flaming arrows, the shield and sword and weapons of war. Selah
4 CPDV You illuminate wondrously from the mountains of eternity. BSB BSB: You are resplendent with light, more majestic than mountains filled with game.
5 CPDV All the foolish of heart have been disturbed. They have slept their sleep, and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands. BSB BSB: The valiant lie plundered; they sleep their last sleep. No men of might could lift a hand.
6 CPDV At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, those who were mounted on horseback have fallen asleep. BSB BSB: At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both horse and rider lie stunned.
7 CPDV You are terrible, and so, who can withstand you? From thence is your wrath. BSB BSB: You alone are to be feared. When You are angry, who can stand before You?
8 CPDV You have caused judgment to be heard from heaven. The earth trembled and was quieted, BSB BSB: From heaven You pronounced judgment, and the earth feared and was still
9 CPDV when God rose up in judgment in order to bring salvation to all the meek of the earth. BSB BSB: when God rose up to judge, to save all the lowly of the earth. Selah
10 CPDV For the thinking of man will confess to you, and the legacy of his thinking will keep a feast day to you. BSB BSB: Even the wrath of man shall praise You; with the survivors of wrath You will clothe Yourself.
11 CPDV Make vows and pay them to the Lord, your God. All you who surround him bring gifts: to him who is terrible, BSB BSB: Make and fulfill your vows to the LORD your God; let all the neighboring lands bring tribute to Him who is to be feared.
12 CPDV even to him who takes away the spirit of leaders, to him who is terrible with the kings of the earth. BSB BSB: He breaks the spirits of princes; He is feared by the kings of the earth.
