3 CPDV And he cast him into the abyss, and he closed and sealed it, so that he would no longer seduce the nations, until the thousand years are completed. And after these things, he must be released for a brief time. BSB BSB: And he threw him into the Abyss, shut it, and sealed it over him, so that he could not deceive the nations until the thousand years were complete. After that, he must be released for a brief period of time.
4 CPDV And I saw thrones. And they sat upon them. And judgment was given to them. And the souls of those beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the Word of God, and who did not adore the beast, nor his image, nor accept his character on their foreheads or on their hands: they lived and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years. BSB BSB: Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5 CPDV The rest of the dead did not live, until the thousand years are completed. This is the First Resurrection. BSB BSB: The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years were complete. This is the first resurrection.
6 CPDV Blessed and holy is he who takes part in the First Resurrection. Over these the second death has no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him for a thousand years. BSB BSB: Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Satan Cast into the Lake of Fire 7 CPDV And when the thousand years will have been completed, Satan shall be released from his prison, and he will go out and seduce the nations which are upon the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog. And he will gather them together for battle, those whose number is like the sand of the sea. BSB BSB: When the thousand years are complete, Satan will be released from his prison,
8 CPDV And they climbed across the breadth of the earth, and they encompassed the camp of the Saints and the Beloved City. BSB BSB: and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to assemble them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the seashore.
9 CPDV And fire from God descended from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and sulphur, BSB BSB: And they marched across the broad expanse of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven and consumed them.
Judgment before the Great White Throne 11 CPDV And I saw a great white throne, and One sitting upon it, from whose sight earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them. BSB BSB: Then I saw a great white throne and the One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them.
12 CPDV And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in view of the throne. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by those things that had been written in the books, according to their works. BSB BSB: And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And books were opened, and one of them was the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books.
13 CPDV And the sea gave up the dead who were in it. And death and Hell gave up their dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. BSB BSB: The sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds.
15 CPDV And whoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the pool of fire. BSB BSB: And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
