DBY Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from them , and shall reproach you , and cast out your name as wicked, for the Son of man's sake: BSB BSB: Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man.
DBY rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in the heaven, for after this manner did their fathers act toward the prophets. 28 DBY bless those that curse you; pray for those who use you despitefully. BSB BSB: bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
DBY To him that smites thee on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him that would take away thy garment, forbid not thy body-coat also. BSB BSB: If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone takes your cloak, do not withhold your tunic as well.
DBY To every one that asks of thee, give; and from him that takes away what is thine, ask it not back. BSB BSB: Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what is yours, do not demand it back.
DBY And as ye wish that men should do to you, do ye also to them in like manner. BSB BSB: Do to others as you would have them do to you.
DBY And if ye love those that love you, what thank is it to you? for even sinners love those that love them. BSB BSB: If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.
DBY And if ye do good to those that do good to you, what thank is it to you? for even sinners do the same. BSB BSB: If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.
DBY And if ye lend to those from whom ye hope to receive, what thank is it to you? for even sinners lend to sinners that they may receive the like. BSB BSB: And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full.

DBY Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom: for with the same measure with which ye mete it shall be measured to you again. BSB BSB: Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. 41 DBY But why lookest thou on the mote which is in the eye of thy brother, but perceivest not the beam which is in thine own eye? BSB BSB: Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?
DBY or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, allow me , I will cast out the mote that is in thine eye, thyself not seeing the beam that is in thine eye? Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine eye, and then thou shalt see clear to cast out the mote which is in the eye of thy brother. BSB BSB: How can you say, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while you yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
A Tree and Its Fruit (Matthew 7:15–23; Matthew 12:33–37)

DBY for every tree is known by its own fruit, for figs are not gathered from thorns, nor grapes vintaged from a bramble. BSB BSB: For each tree is known by its own fruit. Indeed, figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor grapes from brambles.
DBY The good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, brings forth good; and the wicked man out of the wicked, brings forth what is wicked: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. BSB BSB: The good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.
The House on the Rock (Matthew 7:24–27)
DBY And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things that I say? BSB BSB: Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but do not do what I say?
DBY Every one that comes to me, and hears my words and does them, I will shew you to whom he is like. BSB BSB: I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them:
DBY He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock; but a great rain coming, the stream broke upon that house, and could not shake it, for it had been founded on the rock. BSB BSB: He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid his foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the torrent crashed against that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.
DBY And he that has heard and not done, is like a man who has built a house on the ground without a foundation, on which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the breach of that house was great. BSB BSB: But the one who hears My words and does not act on them is like a man who built his house on ground without a foundation. The torrent crashed against that house, and immediately it fell—and great was its destruction!”
