Sing to the LORD, All the Earth (1 Chronicles 16:23–36)
1 DBY Sing ye unto Jehovah a new song: sing unto Jehovah, all the earth. BSB BSB: Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 DBY Sing unto Jehovah, bless his name; publish his salvation from day to day. BSB BSB: Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.
3 DBY Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among all the peoples. BSB BSB: Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
4 DBY For Jehovah is great and exceedingly to be praised; he is terrible above all gods. BSB BSB: For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
5 DBY For all the gods of the peoples are idols; but Jehovah made the heavens. BSB BSB: For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.
6 DBY Majesty and splendour are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. BSB BSB: Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty fill His sanctuary.
7 DBY Give unto Jehovah, ye families of peoples, give unto Jehovah glory and strength; BSB BSB: Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
8 DBY Give unto Jehovah the glory of his name; bring an oblation and come into his courts; BSB BSB: Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and enter His courts.
9 DBY Worship Jehovah in holy splendour; tremble before him, all the earth. BSB BSB: Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 DBY Say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth! yea, the world is established, it shall not be moved; he will execute judgment upon the peoples with equity. BSB BSB: Declare among the nations: “The LORD reigns!” The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.
11 DBY Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; BSB BSB: Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea resound, and all that fills it.
12 DBY Let the field exult and all that is therein. Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy, BSB BSB: Let the fields exult, and all that is in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy
13 DBY Before Jehovah, for he cometh; for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness. BSB BSB: before the LORD, for He is coming—He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness.
