Evil in the Last Days 1 DRA Know also this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous times. BSB BSB: But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come.
2 DRA Men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked, BSB BSB: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 DRA Without affection, without peace, slanderers, incontinent, unmerciful, without kindness, BSB BSB: unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good,
4 DRA Traitors, stubborn, puffed up, and lovers of pleasures more than of God: BSB BSB: traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
6 DRA For of these sort are they who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, who are led away with divers desires: BSB BSB: They are the kind who worm their way into households and captivate vulnerable women who are weighed down with sins and led astray by various passions,
7 DRA Ever learning, and never attaining to the knowledge of the truth. BSB BSB: who are always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.
8 DRA Now as Jannes and Mambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith. BSB BSB: Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith.
9 DRA But they shall proceed no farther; for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as theirs also was. BSB BSB: But they will not advance much further. For just like Jannes and Jambres, their folly will be plain to everyone.

10 DRA But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience, BSB BSB: You, however, have observed my teaching, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my perseverance,
11 DRA Persecutions, afflictions: such as came upon me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra: what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord delivered me. BSB BSB: my persecutions, and the sufferings that came upon me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured! Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.
12 DRA And all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution. BSB BSB: Indeed, all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
13 DRA But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse: erring, and driving into error. BSB BSB: while evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 DRA But continue thou in those things which thou hast learned, and which have been committed to thee: knowing of whom thou hast learned them; BSB BSB: But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and firmly believed, since you know from whom you have learned them.
15 DRA And because from thy infancy thou hast known the holy scriptures, which can instruct thee to salvation, by the faith which is in Christ Jesus. BSB BSB: From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16 DRA All scripture, inspired of God, is profitable to teach, to reprove, to correct, to instruct in justice, BSB BSB: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 DRA That the man of God may be perfect, furnished to every good work. BSB BSB: so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
