3
EKA
Farisis, a Jus kpee joom tiki li na li nsol, kꞌru abo. Tibre bo jo toono eljini ni babnde ebo jo tib bo.
BSB
BSB:
Now in holding to the tradition of the elders, the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat until they wash their hands ceremonially.
4
EKA
Bo lꞌje are feere, bo nehm tiki li nsol, bo tohko tiki bum elbo saang. Bo jo toono eljini nehko go fvfo, nio ni babnde jo tib bo, ana eljini ntuku aruku, a ni atu aruku, a ni nkpingi aruku.
BSB
BSB:
And on returning from the market, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions for them to observe, including the washing of cups, pitchers, kettles, and couches for dining.
5
EKA
Bab Farisi, a atꞌtibi ba atahm bao kehm bahbe Jisos re, “Jen ji wahnge abatꞌtoono eba kil jo toono eljini ni babnso ejahre tib-r no? Bo kpehme ru abo kehm lehke nsol!”

So the Pharisees and scribes questioned Jesus: “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders? Instead, they eat with defiled hands.”
6
EKA
Jisos kehm faange bo re, “Wahn aneb alum abal abal ba! Aisaya lohko nyehn amahr bada nahne! Lohko li ana á nyono no re, “ ‘Esowo re, Ane ebame kp-m kake go nnyo a nnyo, ntim ebo n wobem.
BSB
BSB:
Jesus answered them,
“Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
7
EKA
Bo kp-m kake mbol mbol, eji bo kpꞌtibi atahm nya ane baka baka jehke no, nya ki li nya Esowo.’ ”
BSB
BSB:
They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’
8
EKA
“Wahn ebyake atahm nya Esowo, fere kpꞌtoono eljini ni ane baka baka tibi no.”
BSB
BSB:
You have disregarded the commandment of God to keep the tradition of men.”

10
EKA
Moses bungu re, ‘Kak nso, a nne! Nne awohng awohng no lꞌfere su nde, a nnyehn, bo bahk-e wulu.’
BSB
BSB:
For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
11
EKA
“Ń kpo tib re, ‘Nne lꞌbel ejum ji kehn á jol kake nde ebo, a nnyehn, á lꞌfere bung re, Ejum jia li re Korban (ji lohngo re, li ka Esowo),

But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God),
12
EKA
á nehm kpe kak nde ebo, a nnyehn.’
BSB
BSB:
he is no longer permitted to do anything for his father or mother.

Jia lohngo re, wahn ebten ellum ni Esowo, fere kpꞌtibi atahm nya babnso ejahne. Elkohn nsol ana nyia li gbalee, nyi ń kpo tob lim fvfo.”
BSB
BSB:
Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”
14
EKA
Jisos kehm kpe lung ellong ane, kehm tongo bo re, “Wuungen atung, wahn ane kpee, wahn kahn!
