3. 2ENGLXX20And Sara said to Abram, Behold, the Lord has restrained me from bearing, go therefore in to my maid, that I may get children for myself through her. And Abram listened to the voice of Sara.BSBBSB: So Sarai said to Abram, “Look now, the LORD has prevented me from bearing children. Please go to my maidservant; perhaps I can build a family by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.
4. 3ENGLXX20So Sara the wife of Abram having taken Agar the Egyptian her handmaid, after Abram had lived ten years in the land of Chanaan, gave her to Abram her husband as a wife to him.BSBBSB: So after he had lived in Canaan for ten years, his wife Sarai took her Egyptian maidservant Hagar and gave her to Abram to be his wife.

The Lord judge between me and you.BSBBSB: Then Sarai said to Abram, “May the wrong done to me be upon you! I delivered my servant into your arms, and ever since she saw that she was pregnant, she has treated me with contempt. May the LORD judge between you and me.”
7. 6ENGLXX20And Abram said to Sara, Behold your handmaid is in your hands, use her as it may seem good to you. And Sara afflicted her, and she fled from her face.BSBBSB: “Here,” said Abram, “your servant is in your hands. Do whatever you want with her.” Then Sarai treated Hagar so harshly that she fled from her.
8. 7ENGLXX20And an angel of the Lord found her by the fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Sur.BSBBSB: Now the angel of the LORD found Hagar by a spring of water in the desert—the spring along the road to Shur.

10. 9ENGLXX20And the angel of the Lord said to her, Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands.BSBBSB: So the angel of the LORD told her, “Return to your mistress and submit to her authority.”
11. 10ENGLXX20And the angel of the Lord said to her, I will surely multiply your seed, and it shall not be numbered for multitude.BSBBSB: Then the angel added, “I will greatly multiply your offspring so that they will be too numerous to count.”
12. 11ENGLXX20And the angel of the Lord said to her, Behold you are with child, and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ismael, for the Lord has listened to your humiliation.BSBBSB: The angel of the LORD proceeded: “Behold, you have conceived and will bear a son. And you shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard your cry of affliction.
13. 12ENGLXX20He shall be a wild man, his hands against all, and the hands of all against him, and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.BSBBSB: He will be a wild donkey of a man, and his hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand against him; he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”
14. 13ENGLXX20And she called the name of the Lord God who spoke to her, You are God who sees me; for she said, For I have openly seen him that appeared to me.BSBBSB: So Hagar gave this name to the LORD who had spoken to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “Here I have seen the One who sees me!”
15. 14ENGLXX20Therefore she called the well, The well of him whom I have openly seen; behold it is between Cades and Barad.BSBBSB: Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi. It is located between Kadesh and Bered.
