1. Inside the Temple

2. 1ENGWEBBEHe brought me to the nave and measured the posts, six cubits wide on the one side and six cubits wide on the other side, which was the width of the tent.BSBBSB: Then the man brought me into the outer sanctuary and measured the side pillars to be six cubits wide on each side.
3. 2ENGWEBBEThe width of the entrance was ten cubits, and the sides of the entrance were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side. He measured its length, forty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits.BSBBSB: The width of the entrance was ten cubits, and the sides of the entrance were five cubits on each side. He also measured the length of the outer sanctuary to be forty cubits, and the width to be twenty cubits.
4. 3ENGWEBBEThen he went inward and measured each post of the entrance, two cubits; and the entrance, six cubits; and the width of the entrance, seven cubits.BSBBSB: And he went into the inner sanctuary and measured the side pillars at the entrance to be two cubits wide. The entrance was six cubits wide, and the walls on each side were seven cubits wide.
5. 4ENGWEBBEHe measured its length, twenty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, before the nave. And he said to me, “This is the Most Holy Place.”

7. 5ENGWEBBEThen he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the width of every side room, four cubits, all around the house on every side.BSBBSB: Next he measured the wall of the temple to be six cubits thick, and the width of each side room around the temple was four cubits.
8. 6ENGWEBBEThe side rooms were in three storeys, one over another, and thirty in each story. They entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side rooms all around, that they might be supported and not penetrate the wall of the house.BSBBSB: The side rooms were arranged one above another in three levels of thirty rooms each. There were ledges all around the wall of the temple to serve as supports for the side rooms, so that the supports would not be fastened into the wall of the temple itself.
9. 7ENGWEBBEThe side rooms were wider on the higher levels, because the walls were narrower at the higher levels. Therefore the width of the house increased upward; and so one went up from the lowest level to the highest through the middle level.BSBBSB: The side rooms surrounding the temple widened at each successive level, because the structure surrounding the temple ascended by stages corresponding to the narrowing of the temple wall as it rose upward. And so a stairway went up from the lowest story to the highest, through the middle one.
10. 8ENGWEBBEI saw also that the house had a raised base all around. The foundations of the side rooms were a full reed of six great cubits.BSBBSB: I saw that the temple had a raised base all around it, forming the foundation of the side rooms. It was the full length of a rod, six long cubits.

12. 10ENGWEBBEBetween the rooms was a width of twenty cubits around the house on every side.BSBBSB: and the outer chambers was twenty cubits wide all around the temple.
13. 11ENGWEBBEThe doors of the side rooms were towards an open area that was left, one door towards the north, and another door towards the south. The width of the open area was five cubits all around.BSBBSB: The side rooms opened into this area, with one entrance on the north and another on the south. The open area was five cubits wide all around.
14. 12ENGWEBBEThe building that was before the separate place at the side towards the west was seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length ninety cubits.BSBBSB: Now the building that faced the temple courtyard on the west was seventy cubits wide, and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, with a length of ninety cubits.
15. 13ENGWEBBESo he measured the temple, one hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with its walls, one hundred cubits long;BSBBSB: Then he measured the temple to be a hundred cubits long, and the temple courtyard and the building with its walls were also a hundred cubits long.

22. 19ENGWEBBEso that there was the face of a man towards the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion towards the palm tree on the other side. It was made like this through all the house all around.BSBBSB: the face of a man was toward the palm tree on one side, and the face of a young lion was toward the palm tree on the other side. 27. 24ENGWEBBEThe doors had two leaves each, two turning leaves: two for the one door, and two leaves for the other.BSBBSB: and each door had two swinging panels. There were two panels for one door and two for the other.
28. 25ENGWEBBEThere were made on them, on the doors of the nave, cherubim and palm trees, like those made on the walls.
