1. The Vision of the Lampstand and Olive Trees

2. 1ENGLEEAnd the angel that spoke with me came back again, and waked me up, as a man that is wakened up out of his sleep;BSBBSB: Then the angel who was speaking with me returned and woke me, as a man is awakened from his sleep.
3. 2ENGLEEAnd he said unto me, What art thou seeing? And I said, I have looked, and behold, there is a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon its top, and its seven lamps are thereupon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon its top:BSBBSB: “What do you see?” he asked. “I see a solid gold lampstand,” I replied, “with a bowl at the top and seven lamps on it, with seven spouts to the lamps.
4. 3ENGLEEAnd two olive-trees are by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.BSBBSB: There are also two olive trees beside it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left.”
5. 4ENGLEEAnd I commenced and said unto the angel that spoke with me, saying, What are these, my lord?BSBBSB: “What are these, my lord?” I asked the angel who was speaking with me.
6. 5ENGLEEThen the angel that spoke with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.BSBBSB: “Do you not know what they are?” replied the angel. “No, my lord,” I answered.
7. 6ENGLEEThen answered he and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.BSBBSB: So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts.
8. 7ENGLEEWho art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou wilt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone with shoutings of, Grace, grace unto it.BSBBSB: What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. Then he will bring forth the capstone accompanied by shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”
9. 8ENGLEEAnd the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,BSBBSB: Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
10. 9ENGLEEThe hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands shall complete it: and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.BSBBSB: “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will complete it. Then you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent me to you.
11. 10ENGLEEFor whoever even despised the day of its small beginning: yet will they rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel, with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which hold a survey through all the earth.BSBBSB: For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven eyes of the LORD, which scan the whole earth, will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.”
12. 11ENGLEEAnd I began, and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candle-stick and upon its left?BSBBSB: Then I asked the angel, “What are the two olive trees on the right and left of the lampstand?”
13. 12ENGLEEAnd I began a second time, and said unto him, What are these two olive-branches, which are close by the two golden pipes which empty out of themselves the gold-colored oil?BSBBSB: And I questioned him further, “What are the two olive branches beside the two gold pipes from which the golden oil pours?”
14. 13ENGLEEAnd he said to me as followeth, Knowest thou not what these things are? And I said, No, my lord.BSBBSB: “Do you not know what these are?” he inquired. “No, my lord,” I replied.
15. 14ENGLEEThen said he, These are the two sons of the clear oil, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.BSBBSB: So he said, “These are the two anointed ones who are standing beside the Lord of all the earth.”
