1. The Vision of the Lampstand and Olive Trees

2. 1ENGNOYAnd the angel that talked with me came again, and awaked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,BSBBSB: Then the angel who was speaking with me returned and woke me, as a man is awakened from his sleep.
3. 2ENGNOYand said to me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold, a chandelier all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps upon it, and seven pipes to the seven lamps which are upon the top of it;BSBBSB: “What do you see?” he asked. “I see a solid gold lampstand,” I replied, “with a bowl at the top and seven lamps on it, with seven spouts to the lamps.
4. 3ENGNOYand two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side of it.BSBBSB: There are also two olive trees beside it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left.”
5. 4ENGNOYAnd I spake, and said to the angel that talked with me, What mean these, my lord?BSBBSB: “What are these, my lord?” I asked the angel who was speaking with me.
6. 5ENGNOYThen the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, Knowest thou not what these mean? And I said, No, my lord.BSBBSB: “Do you not know what they are?” replied the angel. “No, my lord,” I answered.
7. 6ENGNOYThen he answered and spake to me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, saying:— Not by might, nor by power, But by my spirit, Saith Jehovah of hosts.BSBBSB: So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts.
8. 7ENGNOYWhat art thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain! And he shall bring forth the corner-stone amid shoutings, [The people crying,] “Grace, grace be to it!”BSBBSB: What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. Then he will bring forth the capstone accompanied by shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”
9. 8ENGNOYMoreover, the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:BSBBSB: Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
10. 9ENGNOYThe hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands shall finish it. And thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me to you.BSBBSB: “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will complete it. Then you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent me to you.
11. 10ENGNOYFor who hath despised the day of small things? With joy shall the plummet be seen in the hand of Zerubbabel by those seven; they are the eyes of Jehovah, which run to and fro through the whole earth.BSBBSB: For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven eyes of the LORD, which scan the whole earth, will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.”
12. 11ENGNOYThen I spake and said to him, What mean these two olive-trees, upon the right side of the chandelier and upon the left side thereof?BSBBSB: Then I asked the angel, “What are the two olive trees on the right and left of the lampstand?”
13. 12ENGNOYAnd I spake the second time, and said to him, What mean these two olive-branches, which are by the side of the two golden tubes which empty the golden oil out of themselves?BSBBSB: And I questioned him further, “What are the two olive branches beside the two gold pipes from which the golden oil pours?”
14. 13ENGNOYAnd he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these mean? And I said, No, my lord.BSBBSB: “Do you not know what these are?” he inquired. “No, my lord,” I replied.
15. 14ENGNOYAnd he said, These are the two anointed ones that stand before the Lord of all the earth.BSBBSB: So he said, “These are the two anointed ones who are standing beside the Lord of all the earth.”
