Psalm 3 3 Psalms Book 1 Unlocked Dynamic Bible Deliver Me, O LORD! (2 Samuel 15:13–29)
UDB Yahweh, I have many enemies! There are many people who oppose me. BSB BSB: A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom. O LORD, how my foes have increased! How many rise up against me!
UDB Many people are saying about me, "God will certainly not help him." BSB BSB: Many say of me, “God will not deliver him.” Selah
UDB But Yahweh, you are like a shield that protects me. You greatly honor me, and you encourage me. BSB BSB: But You, O LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head.
UDB I cry out to you, Yahweh, and you answer me from Zion, your sacred hill. BSB BSB: To the LORD I cry aloud, and He answers me from His holy mountain. Selah
UDB At night I lay down and slept, and I woke up in the morning because you, Yahweh, took care of me all during the night. BSB BSB: I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the LORD sustains me.
UDB There may be thousands of enemy soldiers who surround me, but I am not afraid. BSB BSB: I will not fear the myriads set against me on every side.
UDB Yahweh, arise! My God, come and rescue me again! You will insult my enemies by slapping them on their cheeks; when you strike them, you will destroy their power, with the result that they cannot hurt anyone. BSB BSB: Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.
UDB Yahweh, you are the one who saves your people from their enemies. Yahweh, bless your people! BSB BSB: Salvation belongs to the LORD; may Your blessing be on Your people. Selah
