Psalm 6 6 Psalms Book 1 Unlocked Dynamic Bible Do Not Rebuke Me in Your Anger (Psalm 38:1–22)
UDB Yahweh, do not correct me when you are angry with me; do not punish me when you are upset. BSB BSB: For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments, according to Sheminith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger or discipline me in Your wrath.
UDB Yahweh, act kindly toward me and heal me because I have become weak. My body shakes because I am experiencing so much sorrow. BSB BSB: Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am frail; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are in agony.
UDB Yahweh, I am greatly troubled in my inner being. How long must I endure this? BSB BSB: My soul is deeply distressed. How long, O LORD, how long?
UDB Yahweh, please come and rescue me. Save me because you always keep the promises of your covenant. BSB BSB: Turn, O LORD, and deliver my soul; save me because of Your loving devotion.
UDB I will not be able to praise you after I die; no one in the place where the dead are praise you. BSB BSB: For there is no mention of You in death; who can praise You from Sheol?
UDB I am exhausted because of my pain. I cry all night long so that my bed and my pillow are drenched by my tears. BSB BSB: I am weary from groaning; all night I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.
UDB Because I cry so much, I cannot see well. My eyes have become weak because I constantly cry in fear of my enemies. BSB BSB: My eyes fail from grief; they grow dim because of all my foes.
UDB You people who do evil things, get away from me because Yahweh heard me when I was crying! BSB BSB: Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the LORD has heard my weeping.
UDB Yahweh heard me when I called out for him to help me, and he will answer my prayer. BSB BSB: The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
UDB When that happens, all my enemies will be ashamed; they will be the ones who are terrified. They will turn away from me and suddenly leave me because they will be disgraced. BSB BSB: All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
