Psalm 75 75 Psalms Book 3 Unlocked Dynamic Bible God’s Righteous Judgment (Romans 2:1–16)
UDB We give thanks to you; our God, we thank you. You are close to us, and we proclaim to others the wonderful things that you have done for us. BSB BSB: For the choirmaster: To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A Psalm of Asaph. A song. We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks, for Your Name is near. The people declare Your wondrous works.
UDB You have said, "I have appointed a time when I will judge people, and I will judge everyone fairly. BSB BSB: “When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.
UDB When the earth shakes and all the creatures on the earth tremble, I am the one who will keep its foundations steady. BSB BSB: When the earth and all its dwellers quake, it is I who bear up its pillars. Selah
UDB I say to people who boast, 'Stop bragging!' and I say to wicked people, 'Do not proudly do things to show how great you are!'" BSB BSB: I say to the proud, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn.
UDB Do not be arrogant, and do not speak so boastfully! BSB BSB: Do not lift up your horn against heaven or speak with an outstretched neck.’”
UDB The one who judges people does not come from the east or from the west, and he does not come from the desert. BSB BSB: For exaltation comes neither from east nor west, nor out of the desert,
UDB God is the one who judges people; he shames and punishes some, and he honors others. BSB BSB: but it is God who judges; He brings down one and exalts another.
UDB It is as though Yahweh held a cup in his hand; it is filled with wine that has spices mixed in it to cause those who drink it to become more drunk; and when Yahweh pours it out, he will force all the wicked people to drink it; they will drink every drop of it; yes, he will punish them fully. BSB BSB: For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours from His cup, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to the dregs.
UDB But as for me, I will never stop saying what the God whom Jacob worshiped has done; I will never stop singing to praise him. BSB BSB: But I will proclaim Him forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob.
UDB He promises this: "I will destroy the power of wicked people, but I will increase the power of righteous people." BSB BSB: “All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.”
