Revelation 15 15 Revelation Seals, trumpets and bowls Unlocked Dynamic Bible The Song of Moses and the Lamb (Deuteronomy 32:1–47)
1 UDB Something else very unusual appeared in the sky. I saw seven angels, whose duty it was to punish rebellious people in seven different ways. This is the last time that God will punish people in this way, for it will fully show how angry he is. BSB BSB: Then I saw another great and marvelous sign in heaven: seven angels with the seven final plagues, with which the wrath of God is completed.
2 UDB I saw what looked like an ocean made of glass mixed with fire. I also saw the people who had defeated the beast and its image and the number that represents the beast's name. They were standing by the ocean (that was as clear as glass), and they were holding the harps that God gave them. BSB BSB: And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, beside which stood those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name. They were holding harps from God,
3 UDB They were singing a song like God's servant Moses sang long ago. They sang this to praise the Lamb in this way: "Lord God, who rules over everything, whatever you do is powerful and marvelous! You always act righteously and truthfully. You are king forever over all nations! BSB BSB: and they sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: “Great and wonderful are Your works, O Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations!
4 UDB O Lord, everyone will fear you and honor you because you alone are holy. All nations will come and bow down before you because you have shown that you have judged everyone in the right way." BSB BSB: Who will not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed.”
Preparation for Judgment 5 UDB After this I saw that the temple in heaven was open, where the sacred tent was. BSB BSB: After this I looked, and the temple—the tabernacle of the Testimony—was opened in heaven.
6 UDB The seven angels whose duty it was to punish rebellious people in seven different ways came out of the very holy place. The angels were dressed in clean, white linen garments; they wore gold bands around their chests. BSB BSB: And out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues, dressed in clean and bright linen and girded with golden sashes around their chests.
7 UDB One of the four living creatures gave each of the seven angels a golden bowl filled with wine. The wine symbolized that God, who lives forever, was very angry with the people who had rebelled against him and was going to punish them. BSB BSB: Then one of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever.
8 UDB The temple was filled with smoke that symbolized the presence of the glorious and all-powerful God. No one was able to enter the temple until the seven angels finished punishing the people of the earth in seven different ways. BSB BSB: And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power; and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
