Instructions to Women 9 UEB Likewise, I want the women to dress themselves in proper clothing, with modesty and self-control. They should not have braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or expensive clothing. BSB BSB: Likewise, I want the women to adorn themselves with respectable apparel, with modesty, and with self-control, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,
10 UEB I want them to dress with what is appropriate for women who profess godliness through good works. BSB BSB: but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess to worship God.
12 UEB I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man, but to live in quietness. BSB BSB: I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; she is to remain quiet.
13 UEB For Adam was formed first, then Eve. BSB BSB: For Adam was formed first, and then Eve.
14 UEB Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. BSB BSB: And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman who was deceived and fell into transgression.
15 UEB However, she will be saved through bearing children, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with soundness of mind. BSB BSB: Women, however, will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.
