2 UEB I assume that you have heard of the stewardship of the grace of God that was given to me for you. BSB BSB: Surely you have heard about the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
3 UEB I am writing according to the revelation made known to me. This is the hidden truth about which I briefly wrote to you. BSB BSB: that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.
4 UEB When you read about this, you will be able to understand my insight into this hidden truth about Christ. BSB BSB: In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
5 UEB In other generations this truth was not made known to the sons of men. But now it has been revealed by the Spirit to his apostles and prophets who were set apart for this work. BSB BSB: which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.
6 UEB This hidden truth is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and they share the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. BSB BSB: This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.
7 UEB For I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given to me through the working of his power. BSB BSB: I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace, given me through the working of His power.
8 UEB This grace was given to me, although I am the least of all the saints, that I should proclaim to the Gentiles the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ, BSB BSB: Though I am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 UEB so that I will bring to light for everyone the plan—the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things. BSB BSB: and to illuminate for everyone the stewardship of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
10 UEB This plan was made known through the church so the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places would come to know the many-sided nature of the wisdom of God. BSB BSB: His purpose was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11 UEB This happened according to the eternal plan that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. BSB BSB: according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 UEB For in Christ we have boldness and access with confidence because of our faith in him. BSB BSB: In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.
13 UEB Therefore I ask you not to be discouraged because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory. BSB BSB: So I ask you not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
Paul’s Prayer for the Ephesians 14 UEB For this reason I bend my knees to the Father, BSB BSB: ... for this reason I bow my knees before the Father,

17 UEB I pray that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, that you will be rooted and grounded in his love. BSB BSB: so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 UEB May you have strength so you can understand, along with all the believers, what is the width, the length, the height, and the depth, BSB BSB: will have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth
19 UEB and that you may know the love of Christ, which goes beyond knowledge, and that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. BSB BSB: of the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 UEB Now to him who is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think, according to his power that works in us, BSB BSB: Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
21 UEB to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. BSB BSB: to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
