4 UEB I glorified you on the earth. I have finished the work that you have given me to do. BSB BSB: I have glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do.
Prayer for the Disciples 6 UEB I revealed your name to the people whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. BSB BSB: I have revealed Your name to those You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
7 UEB Now they know that everything that you have given me comes from you, BSB BSB: Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You.
8 UEB for I have given them all the words that you gave me. They received them and truly knew that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9 UEB I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. BSB BSB: I ask on their behalf. I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those You have given Me; for they are Yours.
10 UEB Everything that is mine is yours, and yours is mine, and I am glorified in them. BSB BSB: All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine; and in them I have been glorified.
11 UEB I am no longer in the world, but these people are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me so that they will be one, just as we are one. BSB BSB: I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.
12 UEB While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I protected them, and not one of them was destroyed, except for the son of destruction, so that the scriptures would be fulfilled. BSB BSB: While I was with them, I protected and preserved them by Your name, the name You gave Me. Not one of them has been lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
13 UEB Now I am coming to you, but I am saying these things in the world so that they will have my joy fulfilled in themselves. BSB BSB: But now I am coming to You; and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled within them.
14 UEB I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. BSB BSB: I have given them Your word and the world has hated them. For they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 UEB I do not ask for you to take them away from the world, but for you to keep them from the evil one. BSB BSB: I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.
16 UEB They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. BSB BSB: They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 UEB Set them apart by the truth. Your word is truth. BSB BSB: Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.
18 UEB Just as you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. BSB BSB: As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world.
19 UEB For their sakes I have set myself apart, so that they themselves may also be set apart in truth. BSB BSB: For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
Prayer for All Believers 21 UEB so that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world will believe that you have sent me. BSB BSB: that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
22 UEB The glory that you gave me, I have given to them, so that they will be one, just as we are one: BSB BSB: I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one—
23 UEB I in them, and you in me—that they may be brought to complete unity, so that the world will know that you sent me, and that you have loved them just as you loved me. BSB BSB: I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.
24 UEB Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world. BSB BSB: Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
25 UEB Righteous Father, the world did not know you, but I know you; and these know that you sent me. BSB BSB: Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me.
26 UEB I made your name known to them, and I will make it known so that the love with which you have loved me will be in them, and I will be in them." BSB BSB: And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.”
