1Yahweh spoke again to Moses and Aaron. He said,Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron:

2"Each one of the Israelites must camp around his standard, with the banners of their fathers' houses. They will camp around the tent of meeting on every side.“The Israelites are to camp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance from it, each man under his standard, with the banners of his family.

3Those will be camping on the east of the tent of meeting, where the sun rises, they are the camp of Judah and they are camping under their standard. Nahshon son of Amminadab is the leader of the people of Judah.On the east side, toward the sunrise, the divisions of Judah are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Judahites is Nahshon son of Amminadab,

4The number of the people of Judah is 74,600.and his division numbers 74,600.

5The tribe of Issachar must camp next to Judah. Nethanel son of Zuar must lead the army of Issachar.The tribe of Issachar will camp next to it. The leader of the Issacharites is Nethanel son of Zuar,

6The number in his division is 54,400 men.and his division numbers 54,400.

7The tribe of Zebulun must camp next to Issachar. Eliab son of Helon must lead the army of Zebulun.Next will be the tribe of Zebulun. The leader of the Zebulunites is Eliab son of Helon,

8The number in his division is 57,400.and his division numbers 57,400.

9All the number of the camp of Judah is 186,400. They will set out first.The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Judah is 186,400; they shall set out first.

10On the south side will be the camp of Reuben under their standard. The leader of the camp of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.On the south side, the divisions of Reuben are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Reubenites is Elizur son of Shedeur,

11The number in his division is 46,500.and his division numbers 46,500.

12Simeon is camping next to Reuben. The leader of the people of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.The tribe of Simeon will camp next to it. The leader of the Simeonites is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai,

13The number in his division is 59,300.and his division numbers 59,300.

14The tribe of Gad is next. The leader of the people of Gad is Eliasaph son of Deuel.Next will be the tribe of Gad. The leader of the Gadites is Eliasaph son of Deuel,

15The number in his division is 45,650.and his division numbers 45,650.

16The number of all the men assigned to the camp of Reuben, according to their divisions, is 151,450. They will set out second.The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Reuben is 151,450; they shall set out second.

17Next, the tent of meeting must go out from the camp with the Levites in the middle of all the camps. They must go out from the camp in the same order as they come into the camp. Every man must be in his place, by his banner.In the middle of the camps, the Tent of Meeting is to travel with the camp of the Levites. They are to set out in the order they encamped, each in his own place under his standard.

18The divisions of the camp of Ephraim under their standard. The leader of the people of Ephraim is Elishama son of Ammihud.On the west side, the divisions of Ephraim are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Ephraimites is Elishama son of Ammihud,

19The number in his division is 40,500.and his division numbers 40,500.

20Next to them is the tribe of Manasseh. The leader of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.The tribe of Manasseh will be next to it. The leader of the Manassites is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur,

21The number in his division is 32,200.and his division numbers 32,200.

22Next will be the tribe of Benjamin. The leader of Benjamin is Abidan son of Gideoni.Next will be the tribe of Benjamin. The leader of the Benjamites is Abidan son of Gideoni,

23The number in his division is 35,400.and his division numbers 35,400.

24All those numbered in the camp of Ephraim is 108,100. They will set out third.The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Ephraim is 108,100; they shall set out third.

25On the north will be the divisions of the camp of Dan. The leader of the people of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.On the north side, the divisions of Dan are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Danites is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai,

26The number in his division is 62,700.and his division numbers 62,700.

27The people of the tribe of Asher camp next to Dan. The leader of Asher is Pagiel son of Okran.The tribe of Asher will camp next to it. The leader of the Asherites is Pagiel son of Ocran,

28The number in his division is 41,500.and his division numbers 41,500.

29The tribe of Naphtali is next. The leader of Naphthali is Ahira son of Enan.Next will be the tribe of Naphtali. The leader of the Naphtalites is Ahira son of Enan,

30The mnumber in his division is 53,400.and his division numbers 53,400.

31All those numbered in the camp with Dan is 157,600. They will go out from the camp last, under their banner."The total number of men in the camp of Dan is 157,600; they shall set out last, under their standards.”

32These are the Israelites, numbered according to their families. All those counted in their camps, by their divisions, are 603,550.These are the Israelites, numbered according to their families. The total of those counted in the camps, by their divisions, was 603,550.

33But Moses and Aaron did not count the Levites among the people of Israel. This was as Yahweh had commanded Moses.But the Levites were not counted among the other Israelites, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

34The people of Israel did everything that Yahweh commanded Moses. They camped by their banners. They went out from the camp by their clans, in the order of their ancestor's families.So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; they camped under their standards in this way and set out in the same way, each man with his clan and his family.
