2. 1UEBAfter this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, tightly holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind should blow on the earth, on the sea, or against any tree.BSBBSB: After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back its four winds so that no wind would blow on land or sea or on any tree.
3. 2UEBI saw another angel coming up from the east, who had the seal of the living God. He cried out with a loud voice to the four angels who were given permission to harm the earth and the sea:BSBBSB: And I saw another angel ascending from the east, with the seal of the living God. And he called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:
4. 3UEB"Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees until we have put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God."BSBBSB: “Do not harm the land or sea or trees until we have placed a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”
5. 4UEBI heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000, who were sealed from every tribe of the people of Israel:BSBBSB: And I heard the number of those who were sealed, 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel:
6. 5UEBtwelve thousand from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand from the tribe of Gad,BSBBSB: From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000,
7. 6UEBtwelve thousand from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand from the tribe of Manasseh,BSBBSB: from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,
8. 7UEBtwelve thousand from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand from the tribe of Issachar,BSBBSB: from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,
9. 8UEBtwelve thousand from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand from the tribe of Joseph, and twelve thousand from the tribe of Benjamin were sealed.BSBBSB: from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, and from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.

10. Praise from the Great Multitude

11. 9UEBAfter these things I looked, and there was a huge multitude that no one could count—from every nation, tribe, people, and language—standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands,BSBBSB: After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.
12. 10UEBand they were calling out with a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!"BSBBSB: And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
13. 11UEBAll the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne. They worshiped God,BSBBSB: And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. And they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God,
14. 12UEBsaying, "Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen!"BSBBSB: saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
15. 13UEBThen one of the elders asked me, "Who are these, clothed with white robes, and where did they come from?"BSBBSB: Then one of the elders addressed me: “These in white robes,” he asked, “who are they, and where have they come from?”
16. 14UEBI said to him, "Sir, you know," and he said to me, "These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.BSBBSB: “Sir,” I answered, “you know.” So he replied, “These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
17. 15UEBFor this reason, they are before the throne of God, and they worship him day and night in his temple. The one who is seated on the throne will spread his tent over them.BSBBSB: For this reason, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.
18. 16UEBThey will not be hungry again, nor will they be thirsty again. The sun will not beat down on them, nor any burning heat.BSBBSB: ‘Never again will they hunger, and never will they thirst; nor will the sun beat down upon them, nor any scorching heat.’
19. 17UEBFor the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."BSBBSB: For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd. ‘He will lead them to springs of living water,’ and ‘God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”
