Children and Parents (Colossians 3:18–21)
1 ULT Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is righteous. BSB BSB: Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Serving with Honor (Colossians 3:22–25; 1 Timothy 6:1–2)
5 ULT Slaves, obey your masters according to the flesh with fear and trembling, in honesty of your heart, as to Christ, BSB BSB: Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear and sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
6 ULT not with eye- service as men- pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the soul, BSB BSB: And do this not only to please them while they are watching, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
7 ULT serving with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to men, BSB BSB: Serve with good will, as to the Lord and not to men,
8 ULT knowing that each person, if he does something good, this he will receive from the Lord, whether slave or free. BSB BSB: because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
The Full Armor of God 10 ULT Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the force of his strength. BSB BSB: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
11 ULT Put on the whole armor of God, to enable you to stand against the scheming of the devil. BSB BSB: Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.
12 ULT For our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world- controllers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly{ places}. BSB BSB: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 ULT Because of this, put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done everything, to stand. BSB BSB: Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.
14 ULT Stand, therefore, having girded up your loins with truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, BSB BSB: Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed,
15 ULT and having shod your feet with readiness of the gospel of peace. BSB BSB: and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace.
16 ULT In everything take up the shield of the faith, by which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. BSB BSB: In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 ULT And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. BSB BSB: And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 ULT With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit. And to this{ end}, be watchful with all perseverance and requests for all the saints, BSB BSB: Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.
19 ULT and for me, so that a message might be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel BSB BSB: Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 ULT (for which I am an ambassador in chains), so that in it I may speak boldly, as it is necessary for me to speak. BSB BSB: for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.
Final Greetings (Philippians 4:21–23; 2 Timothy 4:19–22)
