Prayer for the Son 2 ULT since you gave him authority{ over} all flesh so that everyone whom you have given him, he would give to them eternal life. BSB BSB: For You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him.
4 ULT I glorified you on the earth, having completed the work that you have given me so that I might do it. BSB BSB: I have glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do.
Prayer for the Disciples 6 ULT I revealed your name to the men whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. BSB BSB: I have revealed Your name to those You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
7 ULT Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you, BSB BSB: Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You.
8 ULT for I have given them the words that you gave me, and they received{ them} and truly knew that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. BSB BSB: For I have given them the words You gave Me, and they have received them. They knew with certainty that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.
9 ULT I ask on behalf of them. I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of whom you have given me, for they are yours. BSB BSB: I ask on their behalf. I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those You have given Me; for they are Yours.
10 ULT And all my things are yours, and your things{ are} mine, and I am glorified in them. BSB BSB: All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine; and in them I have been glorified.
11 ULT And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me so that they would be one, just as we are. BSB BSB: I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.
12 ULT While I was with them, I kept them in your name that you have given me. And I protected them, and not one of them perished, except for the son of destruction, so that the scripture would be fulfilled. Not one of them has been lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
13 ULT But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world so that they would have my joy fulfilled in themselves. BSB BSB: But now I am coming to You; and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled within them.
14 ULT I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not from the world, just as I am not from the world. BSB BSB: I have given them Your word and the world has hated them. For they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 ULT I do not ask that you would take them away from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one. BSB BSB: I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.
16 ULT They are not from the world, just as I am not from the world. BSB BSB: They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 ULT Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. BSB BSB: Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.
18 ULT Just as you sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. BSB BSB: As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world.
19 ULT And for their sakes I have sanctified myself, so that they themselves may also be sanctified in truth. BSB BSB: For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
Prayer for All Believers 21 ULT that they would all be one, just as you, Father,{ are} in me, and I in you, that they also would be in us so that the world would believe that you have sent me. BSB BSB: that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
22 ULT The glory that you gave to me, I also have given to them so that they would be one, just as we are one: BSB BSB: I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one—
23 ULT I in them, and you in me so that they may be made complete as one so that the world may know that you sent me and you loved them just as you loved me. BSB BSB: I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.
24 ULT Father, the one you have given me, I desire that they also may be with me where I am, in order to see my glory, which you gave me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. BSB BSB: Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
25 ULT Righteous Father, even the world did not know you, but I know you; and these know that you sent me. BSB BSB: Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me.
26 ULT And I made your name known to them, and I will make{ it} known so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.” BSB BSB: And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.”
