ULT And running on ahead, he climbed into a sycamore tree so that he might see him, because he was about to pass through that{ way}. BSB BSB: So he ran on ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see Him, since Jesus was about to pass that way.

ULT Therefore he said,“A certain well- born man journeyed to a distant country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. BSB BSB: So He said, “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to lay claim to his kingship and then return.
ULT So calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas and said to them,‘Conduct business in that I go.’ BSB BSB: Beforehand, he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Conduct business with this until I return,’ he said.
ULT But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying,‘We do not want this one to rule over us.’ BSB BSB: But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We do not want this man to rule over us.’
ULT And it happened that, when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded to be called to him those servants to whom he had given the silver, so that he might know what they had gained by doing business. BSB BSB: When he returned from procuring his kingship, he summoned the servants to whom he had given the money, to find out what each one had earned.
ULT Then the first came{ and} said,‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’ BSB BSB: The first servant came forward and said, ‘Master, your mina has produced ten more minas.’
ULT And he said to him,‘Well done, good servant! Because you were faithful in very little, be having authority over ten cities.’ BSB BSB: His master replied, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very small matter, you shall have authority over ten cities.’
ULT And the second came{ and} said,‘Your mina, master, has made five minas.’ BSB BSB: The second servant came and said, ‘Master, your mina has made five minas.’
ULT So he also said to this one,‘And you be over five cities.’ BSB BSB: And to this one he said, ‘You shall have authority over five cities.’
ULT And the other one came saying,‘Master, behold your mina, which I have been keeping put away in a cloth, BSB BSB: Then another servant came and said, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have laid away in a piece of cloth.
ULT for I feared you, because you are a harsh man. You take up what you did not put down, and you reap what you did not sow.’ BSB BSB: For I was afraid of you, because you are a harsh man. You withdraw what you did not deposit and reap what you did not sow.’
ULT He says to him,‘By your mouth I will judge you, wicked servant! Did you know that I am a harsh man, taking up what I did not put down, and reaping what I did not sow? BSB BSB: His master replied, ‘You wicked servant, I will judge you by your own words. So you knew that I am a harsh man, withdrawing what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow?
ULT And for what{ reason} did you not put my silver in a bank, and I, having returned, would have collected it with interest?’ BSB BSB: Why then did you not deposit my money in the bank, and upon my return I could have collected it with interest?’
ULT And he said to the ones standing by,‘Take the mina away from him and give it to the one having the ten minas.’ BSB BSB: Then he told those standing by, ‘Take the mina from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
ULT And they said to him,‘Master, he has ten minas.’ BSB BSB: ‘Master,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
ULT ‘I say to you that to everyone having, it will be given, but from the one not having, even what he has will be taken away. BSB BSB: He replied, ‘I tell you that everyone who has will be given more; but the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
ULT But these enemies of mine, the ones not having wanted me to reign over them, bring{ them} here and kill them before me.’” BSB BSB: And these enemies of mine who were unwilling for me to rule over them, bring them here and slay them in front of me.’”

ULT And if anyone asks you,‘Why are you untying it?’ thus you will say,‘The Lord has need of it.’” BSB BSB: If anyone asks, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
ULT So the ones that had been sent, going away, found{ it} just as he had said to them. BSB BSB: So those who were sent went out and found it just as Jesus had told them.
ULT And{ as} they were untying the colt, the owners of it said to them,“Why are you untying the colt?” BSB BSB: As they were untying the colt, its owners asked, “Why are you untying the colt?”
ULT So they said,“The Lord has need of it.” BSB BSB: “The Lord needs it,” they answered.
ULT And they brought it to Jesus, and having thrown their cloaks upon the colt, they mounted Jesus on{ it}. BSB BSB: Then they led the colt to Jesus, threw their cloaks over it, and put Jesus on it.
ULT And{ as} he was going along, they were spreading their cloaks on the road. BSB BSB: As He rode along, the people spread their cloaks on the road.

ULT For days will come upon you, and your enemies will build a barricade around you, and they will surround you and press in on you from every side. BSB BSB: For the days will come upon you when your enemies will barricade you and surround you and hem you in on every side.
ULT And they will dash you to the ground and your children within you. And they will not leave stone upon stone in you because you did not know the time of your visitation.” BSB BSB: They will level you to the ground—you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”
