Give Ear to My Words 1 ULT { To} my words give ear, Yahweh! Understand my murmuring! BSB BSB: For the choirmaster, to be accompanied by flutes. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my groaning.
2 ULT Listen attentively to the sound of my cry for help, my king and my God, for to you I pray! BSB BSB: Attend to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I pray.
3 ULT Yahweh, in the morning you hear my voice. In the morning I prepare for you and watch. BSB BSB: In the morning, O LORD, You hear my voice; at daybreak I lay my plea before You and wait in expectation.
4 ULT For you are not a god pleased with wickedness; evil ones will not sojourn with you. BSB BSB: For You are not a God who delights in wickedness; no evil can dwell with You.
5 ULT The arrogant will not stand in front of your eyes; you hate all doers of iniquity. BSB BSB: The boastful cannot stand in Your presence; You hate all workers of iniquity.
6 ULT You will destroy speakers of falsehood; the man of blood and deceit Yahweh abhors. BSB BSB: You destroy those who tell lies; the LORD abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
7 ULT But I, in the greatness of your covenant faithfulness, I will come into your house; I will bow down toward your temple of holiness in fear. BSB BSB: But I will enter Your house by the abundance of Your loving devotion; in reverence I will bow down toward Your holy temple.
8 ULT Yahweh, guide me in your righteousness because of my watchers; straighten before my face your path. BSB BSB: Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make straight Your way before me.
9 ULT For there is no firmness in his mouth; their inward being is destruction. An open tomb is their throat; their tongue they make smooth. BSB BSB: For not a word they speak can be trusted; destruction lies within them. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.
10 ULT Make them guilty, God; may they fall due to their schemes! Because of their many transgressions, drive them out, for they rebel against you! BSB BSB: Declare them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own devices. Drive them out for their many transgressions, for they have rebelled against You.
11 ULT But may all refuge seekers in you rejoice; may they shout joyfully to eternity, and may you cover over them, and may lovers of your name exult in you. BSB BSB: But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy. May You shelter them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.
12 ULT For you, Yahweh, you bless the righteous, you surround him{ with} favor as a shield. BSB BSB: For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of Your favor.
