I Will Sing of His Love Forever 1 ULT I will sing the covenant faithfulness of Yahweh forever; to generation and generation I will make known your faithfulness with my mouth. 2 ULT For I said,“Covenant faithfulness will be built up forever; the heavens, you establish your faithfulness in them.” BSB BSB: For I have said, “Loving devotion is built up forever; in the heavens You establish Your faithfulness.”
3 ULT “I have cut a covenant with my chosen; I have sworn to David my servant: BSB BSB: You said, “I have made a covenant with My chosen one, I have sworn to David My servant:
4 ULT ‘Until forever I will establish your seed, and I will build up your throne to generation and generation.’” Selah BSB BSB: ‘I will establish your offspring forever and build up your throne for all generations.’” Selah
5 ULT And the heavens praise your wonder, Yahweh; your faithfulness also, in the assembly of the holy ones. BSB BSB: The heavens praise Your wonders, O LORD—Your faithfulness as well—in the assembly of the holy ones.
6 ULT For who in the sky arrays with Yahweh, compares to Yahweh among the sons of God? BSB BSB: For who in the skies can compare with the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD?
7 ULT God is greatly dreaded in the council of the holy ones and feared above all of the ones around him. BSB BSB: In the council of the holy ones, God is greatly feared, and awesome above all who surround Him.
8 ULT Yahweh, God of Armies, who{ is} like you, mighty Yah? And your faithfulness{ is} your surroundings. BSB BSB: O LORD God of Hosts, who is like You? O mighty LORD, Your faithfulness surrounds You.
9 ULT You are ruling over the surging of the sea; when its waves rise, you, you still them. BSB BSB: You rule the raging sea; when its waves mount up, You still them.
10 ULT You, you shattered Rahab like a slain one; with the arm of your strength you scattered your enemies. BSB BSB: You crushed Rahab like a carcass; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.
11 ULT To you{ are} the heavens, also to you, the earth; the world and its fullness, you, you founded them. BSB BSB: The heavens are Yours, and also the earth. The earth and its fullness You founded.
12 ULT The north and the south, you, you created them; Tabor and Hermon shout joyfully in your name. BSB BSB: North and south You created; Tabor and Hermon shout for joy at Your name.
13 ULT To you{ is} an arm with might; your hand is strong; your right hand is high. BSB BSB: Mighty is Your arm; strong is Your hand. Your right hand is exalted.
14 ULT Righteousness and justice{ are} the foundation of your throne; covenant faithfulness and truth precede your face. BSB BSB: Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; loving devotion and faithfulness go before You.
15 ULT The happinesses of the people knowing the joyful shout! Yahweh, they walk in the light of your face. BSB BSB: Blessed are those who know the joyful sound, who walk, O LORD, in the light of Your presence.
16 ULT In your name they rejoice all of the day, and in your righteousness they rise high; BSB BSB: They rejoice in Your name all day long, and in Your righteousness they exult.
17 ULT for you{ are} the splendor of their strength, and by your favor you raise up our horn. BSB BSB: For You are the glory of their strength, and by Your favor our horn is exalted.
18 ULT For our shield{ is} to Yahweh, and our king, to the Holy{ One} of Israel. BSB BSB: Surely our shield belongs to the LORD, and our king to the Holy One of Israel.
19 ULT Then you spoke in a vision to your faithful ones and said,“I have placed help on a warrior; I have raised up a chosen one from the people. BSB BSB: You once spoke in a vision; to Your godly ones You said, “I have bestowed help on a warrior; I have exalted one chosen from the people.
20 ULT I have found David my servant; I have anointed him with the oil of my holiness, BSB BSB: I have found My servant David; with My sacred oil I have anointed him.
21 ULT with whom my hand will be established; my arm will also strengthen him. BSB BSB: My hand will sustain him; surely My arm will strengthen him.
22 ULT The enemy will not exact from him, and a son of wickedness will not oppress him. BSB BSB: No enemy will exact tribute; no wicked man will oppress him.
23 ULT And I will crush his adversaries from his face, and I will strike down the ones hating him. BSB BSB: I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.
24 ULT And my faithfulness and my covenant faithfulness{ will be} with him, and in my name his horn will be high. BSB BSB: My faithfulness and loving devotion will be with him, and through My name his horn will be exalted.
25 ULT And I will set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers. BSB BSB: I will set his hand over the sea, and his right hand upon the rivers.
26 ULT He, he will call to me,‘You{ are} my Father, my God and the rock of my salvation.’ BSB BSB: He will call to Me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the Rock of my salvation.’
27 ULT And I, I will make him the firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. BSB BSB: I will indeed appoint him as My firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28 ULT I will keep my covenant faithfulness for him forever, and my covenant will be confirmed to him. BSB BSB: I will forever preserve My loving devotion for him, and My covenant with him will stand fast.
29 ULT And I will set up his seed forever and his throne like the days of the heavens. BSB BSB: I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.
30 ULT If his sons forsake my law and they do not walk in my judgments, BSB BSB: If his sons forsake My law and do not walk in My judgments,
31 ULT if they profane my statutes and they do not keep my commandments, BSB BSB: if they violate My statutes and fail to keep My commandments,
32 ULT then I will punish their transgression with a rod and their iniquity with blows. BSB BSB: I will attend to their transgression with the rod, and to their iniquity with stripes.
33 ULT But my covenant faithfulness I will not break off from him, and I will not deal falsely in my faithfulness. BSB BSB: But I will not withdraw My loving devotion from him, nor ever betray My faithfulness.
34 ULT I will not profane my covenant, and I will not change the utterance of my lips BSB BSB: I will not violate My covenant or alter the utterance of My lips.
35 ULT Once I have sworn by my holiness,‘If I should lie to David! BSB BSB: Once and for all I have sworn by My holiness—I will not lie to David—
36 ULT His seed will be forever, and his throne, like the sun before me. BSB BSB: his offspring shall endure forever, and his throne before Me like the sun,
37 ULT It will be established forever like the moon, yes, the attested witness in the sky.’” Selah BSB BSB: like the moon, established forever, a faithful witness in the sky.” Selah
38 ULT But you, you have rejected and spurned; you have passed yourself over from your anointed one. BSB BSB: Now, however, You have spurned and rejected him; You are enraged by Your anointed one.
39 ULT You have voided the covenant of your servant; you have profaned his crown to the ground. BSB BSB: You have renounced the covenant with Your servant and sullied his crown in the dust.
40 ULT You have broken down all of his walls; you have made his fortifications a ruin. BSB BSB: You have broken down all his walls; You have reduced his strongholds to rubble.
41 ULT All of the passers of the way plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors. BSB BSB: All who pass by plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors.
42 ULT You have raised up the right hand of his adversaries; you have made all of his enemies rejoice. BSB BSB: You have exalted the right hand of his foes; You have made all his enemies rejoice.
43 ULT You have also turned back the edge of his sword, and you have not made him stand in battle. BSB BSB: You have bent the edge of his sword and have not sustained him in battle.
44 ULT You have made his splendor cease, and you have cast his throne to the ground. BSB BSB: You have ended his splendor and cast his throne to the ground.

47 ULT Remember me, what life{ is}, for what emptiness you created all of the sons of man. BSB BSB: Remember the briefness of my lifespan! For what futility You have created all men!
48 ULT What man will live and not see death, will deliver his soul from the hand of Sheol? Selah BSB BSB: What man can live and never see death? Can he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah
49 ULT Where{ are} your former covenant faithfulnesses, Lord,{ which} you swore to David in your faithfulness? BSB BSB: Where, O Lord, is Your loving devotion of old, which You faithfully swore to David?
50 ULT Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants; my carrying in my bosom all of many peoples BSB BSB: Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, which I bear in my heart from so many people—
51 ULT with which your enemies have taunted, Yahweh, with which they have taunted the footsteps of your anointed. BSB BSB: how Your enemies have taunted, O LORD, and have mocked every step of Your anointed one!
