The First Six Bowls of Wrath 1 ULT And I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels,“Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God onto the earth.” BSB BSB: Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go, pour out on the earth the seven bowls of God’s wrath.”
2 ULT And the first went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and a bad and harmful sore happened on the men having the mark of the beast and the ones worshiping its image. BSB BSB: So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and loathsome, malignant sores broke out on those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.
3 ULT And the second poured out his bowl into the sea and it became blood as of a corpse, and every living soul in the sea died. BSB BSB: And the second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it turned to blood like that of the dead, and every living thing in the sea died.
4 ULT And the third poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and it became blood. BSB BSB: And the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they turned to blood.
5 ULT And I heard the angel of the waters saying,“You are righteous, the one being and the one who was, the Holy One, because you have judged these. BSB BSB: And I heard the angel of the waters say: “Righteous are You, O Holy One, who is and was, because You have brought these judgments.
6 ULT Because they poured out the blood of the saints and prophets, you have also given blood to them to drink; they are worthy.” BSB BSB: For they have spilled the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink, as they deserve.”
7 ULT And I heard the altar saying,“Yes, Lord God, Ruler of All, your judgments{ are} true and righteous.” BSB BSB: And I heard the altar reply: “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are Your judgments.”
8 ULT And the fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was granted to it to scorch men with fire. BSB BSB: Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given power to scorch the people with fire.
9 ULT And men were scorched a great scorch and they blasphemed the name of the God having authority over these plagues, but they did not repent to give him glory. BSB BSB: And the people were scorched by intense heat, and they cursed the name of God, who had authority over these plagues. Yet they did not repent and give Him glory.
10 ULT And the fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom became darkened. And they were chewing their tongues from the pain, BSB BSB: And the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness, and men began to gnaw their tongues in anguish
11 ULT and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pain and because of their sores, but they did not repent of their deeds. BSB BSB: and curse the God of heaven for their pains and sores. Yet they did not repent of their deeds.
12 ULT And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river, the Euphrates, and its water was dried up so that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun might be prepared. BSB BSB: And the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the East.
13 ULT And I saw, out from the mouth of the dragon and out from the mouth of the beast and out from the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs, BSB BSB: And I saw three unclean spirits that looked like frogs coming out of the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet.
14 ULT for they are spirits of demons performing signs, who go out to the kings of the whole world to gather them together for battle on the great day of God, the Ruler of All. BSB BSB: These are demonic spirits that perform signs and go out to all the kings of the earth, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.
15 ULT (“Behold! I am coming like a thief! Blessed{ is} the one watching and keeping his garments so that he might not walk around naked and they see his indecency.”) BSB BSB: “Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who remains awake and clothed, so that he will not go naked and let his shame be exposed.”
16 ULT And they brought them together at the place called Armageddon in Hebrew. BSB BSB: And they assembled the kings in the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
The Seventh Bowl of Wrath 17 ULT And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air, and a loud voice came out from the temple from the throne, saying,“It has happened!” BSB BSB: Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came from the throne in the temple, saying, “It is done!”
18 ULT And lightning and sounds and thunder happened, and a great earthquake happened, such as had not happened since man had been on the earth, so powerful an earthquake, so great. BSB BSB: And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake the likes of which had not occurred since men were upon the earth—so mighty was the great quake.
19 ULT And the great city came into three parts and the cities of the nations fell, and Babylon the Great was remembered before God to give to her the cup of the wine of the wrath of his anger. BSB BSB: The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. And God remembered Babylon the great and gave her the cup of the wine of the fury of His wrath.
20 ULT And every island fled, and the mountains were not found. BSB BSB: Then every island fled, and no mountain could be found.
21 ULT And great hail, about a talent in weight, comes down from heaven upon men, and men blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, because that plague is exceedingly great. BSB BSB: And great hailstones weighing almost a hundred pounds each rained down on them from above. And men cursed God for the plague of hail, because it was so horrendous.
