2 UST I am loyal to you, so please protect me. I worship you as my God and I trust you, so please save me. BSB BSB: Preserve my soul, for I am godly. You are my God; save Your servant who trusts in You.
3 UST I have been crying out to you continually, Lord, so please be kind to me. BSB BSB: Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I call to You all day long.
4 UST I am asking you to help me, Lord, as someone who worships you, so please make me happy by doing that. BSB BSB: Bring joy to Your servant, for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
5 UST Do this, Lord, because you are good and you forgive people’ s sins. You very faithfully love everyone who prays to you. BSB BSB: For You, O Lord, are kind and forgiving, rich in loving devotion to all who call on You.
6 UST Yahweh, I am pleading with you in prayer to help me; please do what I ask. BSB BSB: Hear my prayer, O LORD, and attend to my plea for mercy.
7 UST Whenever I am in trouble, I call out to you, because I know that you will help me. BSB BSB: In the day of my distress I call on You, because You answer me.
8 UST Lord, among all the gods that the nations worship, there is none like you; none of them has done the great things that you have done. BSB BSB: O Lord, there is none like You among the gods, nor any works like Yours.
9 UST Lord, the nations that you have made will all come and bow down before you, and they will praise you. BSB BSB: All the nations You have made will come and bow before You, O Lord, and they will glorify Your name.
10 UST They will do this because you are great and you do amazing things; you are the only true God. BSB BSB: For You are great and perform wonders; You alone are God.
11 UST Yahweh, please teach me how you want me to live so that I will act properly, as you wish. Give me a sincere desire to honor you. BSB BSB: Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.
12 UST Lord my God, I will thank you wholeheartedly, and I will praise you forever. BSB BSB: I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify Your name forever.
13 UST I will do that because you have been so faithfully kind to me; you have kept me from going way down into the place where dead people are. BSB BSB: For great is Your loving devotion to me; You have delivered me from the depths of Sheol.
14 UST God, proud people are attacking me. Yes, a group of cruel people is trying to kill me; those people do not respect you. BSB BSB: The arrogant rise against me, O God; a band of ruthless men seeks my life; they have no regard for You.
15 UST But you, Lord, are a God who is merciful and kind. You do not quickly become angry, and you are so faithfully kind and true to us. BSB BSB: But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion and faithfulness.
16 UST Consider my situation and be kind to me; make me, your servant, strong. Help me as if I had been born in your household. BSB BSB: Turn to me and have mercy; grant Your strength to Your servant; save the son of Your maidservant.
17 UST Do something to show that you are helping me so that my enemies will see it, and it will embarrass them. I believe that you, Yahweh, will help me and comfort me. BSB BSB: Show me a sign of Your goodness, that my enemies may see and be ashamed; for You, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
