1. 1ULBPorque yo deseo que sepan la grande lucha que he tenido por ustedes y por aquellos en Laodicea y por muchos que no me han visto cara a cara.BSBBSB: For I want you to know how much I am struggling for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me face to face,
2. 2ULBYo trabajo para que sus corazones sean alentados por ser traídos juntos en amor y a todas las riquezas de la seguridad completa del entendimiento, en el conocimiento de la verdad secreta de Dios, que es, Cristo.BSBBSB: that they may be encouraged in heart, knit together in love, and filled with the full riches of complete understanding, so that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ,
3. 3ULBEn Él todos los tesoros de sabiduría y conocimiento están escondidos.BSBBSB: in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4. 4ULBLes digo esto para que nadie pueda engañarlos con palabras persuasivas.BSBBSB: I say this so that no one will deceive you by smooth rhetoric.
5. 5ULBAunque yo no estoy con ustedes en la carne, sí lo estoy en espíritu. Yo me regocijo de ver su buen orden y la fortaleza de su fe en Cristo.BSBBSB: For although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I delight to see your orderly condition and firm faith in Christ.
6. 6ULBAsí como ustedes recibieron a Cristo el Señor, caminen en Él.BSBBSB: Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him,
7. 7ULBEstén firmemente plantados en Él, sean edificados en Él, estén establecidos en la fe así como ustedes fueron enseñados y abunden en acciones de gracias.BSBBSB: rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
8. 8ULBVelen que nadie los capture mediante la filosofía y la falsedad vacía de acuerdo a la tradición de los hombres, conforme a los elementos del mundo, y no conforme a Cristo.BSBBSB: See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ.
9. 9ULBPorque en Él vive toda la plenitud del Dios corporal.BSBBSB: For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form.
10. 10ULBY ustedes están completos en Él. Él es la cabeza de todo poder y autoridad.BSBBSB: And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
11. 11ULBEn Él ustedes fueron también circuncidados con una circuncisión no hecha por humanos en la remoción del cuerpo de carne, sino en la circuncisión de Cristo.BSBBSB: In Him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of your sinful nature, with the circumcision performed by Christ and not by human hands.
12. 12ULBUstedes fueron enterrados con Él en el bautismo, y en Él ustedes fueron levantados mediante la fe en el poder de Dios, quien lo levantó a Él de los muertos.BSBBSB: And having been buried with Him in baptism, you were raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.
13. 13ULBCuando ustedes estaban muertos en sus transgresiones y en la incircusición de su carne, Él los hizo a ustedes vivos junto con Él y nos perdonó todas nuestras transgresiones.BSBBSB: When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses,
14. 14ULBÉl borró el registro escrito de deudas y las regulaciones que estaban contra nosotros.BSBBSB: having canceled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us. He took it away, nailing it to the cross!
15. 15ULBÉl las removió todas y las clavó en la cruz. 20. 20ULBSi ustedes mueren junto con Cristo a los elementos del mundo, ¿por qué ustedes viven como si estuvieran obligados al mundo:BSBBSB: If you have died with Christ to the spiritual forces of the world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its regulations:
21. 21ULB"No lo cojas, no pruebes, no toques"?BSBBSB: “Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!”?
22. 22ULBTodas estas cosas están destinadas para corrupción con el uso, de acuerdo a las instrucciones y enseñanzas de hombres.BSBBSB: These will all perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings.
23. 23ULBEstas reglas tienen la sabiduría de una religión hecha por sí misma y humildad y severidad del cuerpo. Pero ellas no tienen valor contra la indulgencia de la carne.BSBBSB: Such restrictions indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-prescribed worship, their false humility, and their harsh treatment of the body; but they are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.
