Joshua 18 (ULB)

1Entonces toda la asamblea del pueblo de Israel se reunió en Silo. Ellos establecieron la carpa de las reuniones allí y conquistaron la tierra delante de ellos.Then the whole congregation of Israel assembled at Shiloh and set up the Tent of Meeting there. And though the land was subdued before them,

2Todavía había siete tribus entre la gente de Israel que no se le había repartido su herencia.there were still seven tribes of Israel who had not yet received their inheritance.

3Josué le dijo a la gente de Israel: "¿Cuánto más van a esperar para entrar en la tierra que EL SEÑOR, EL DIOS de sus antepasados, les ha entregado?"So Joshua said to the Israelites, “How long will you put off entering and possessing the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?

4Elijan tres hombres de cada tribu, y yo los enviaré. Ellos saldrán e inspeccionarán la tierra de arriba a abajo. Ellos escribirán una descripción de lo que vean de sus herencias, y luego volverán a mí.Appoint three men from each tribe, and I will send them out to survey the land and map it out, according to the inheritance of each. Then they will return to me

5Ellos la dividirán en siete partes. Judá permanecerá en su territorio en el sur, y la casa de José permanecerá en su territorio en el norte.and divide the land into seven portions. Judah shall remain in their territory in the south, and the house of Joseph shall remain in their territory in the north.

6Ustedes describirán el territorio en siete partes y me traerán la descripción aquí. Yo echaré suerte por ustedes aquí delante del SEÑOR nuestro DIOS.When you have mapped out the seven portions of land and brought it to me, I will cast lots for you here in the presence of the LORD our God.

7Los levitas no tienen parte entre ustedes, porque el sacerdocio del SEÑOR es su herencia. Gad, Rubén y la media tribu de Manasés han recibido su herencia, más allá del Jordán. Esta es la herencia que Moisés, el siervo del SEÑOR, les dio."The Levites, however, have no portion among you, because their inheritance is the priesthood of the LORD. And Gad, Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh have already received the inheritance that Moses the servant of the LORD gave them beyond the Jordan to the east.”

8Así que los hombres se levantaron y se fueron. Josué ordenó a los que fueron a escribir la descripción de la tierra, diciendo: "Vayan de arriba a abajo en la tierra y escriban una descripción de ella y regresen a mí. Yo echaré la suerte por ustedes aquí ante EL SEÑOR en Silo."As the men got up to go out, Joshua commanded them to map out the land, saying, “Go and survey the land, map it out, and return to me. Then I will cast lots for you here in Shiloh in the presence of the LORD.”

9Los hombres se fueron y caminaron de arriba a bajo en la tierra y escribieron una descripción de ella en un rollo por sus ciudades en siete partes, enumerando las ciudades en cada parte. Entonces ellos regresaron a Josué, en el campamento de Silo.So the men departed and went throughout the land, mapping it city by city into seven portions. Then they returned with the document to Joshua at the camp in Shiloh.

10Entonces Josué echó la suerte para ellos en Silo delante del SEÑOR. Y allí Josué repartió la tierra a la gente de Israel, a cada uno se le dio su porción de la tierra.And Joshua cast lots for them in the presence of the LORD at Shiloh, where he distributed the land to the Israelites according to their divisions.

11El encargo de la tierra para la tribu de Benjamín fue dado a cada uno de sus clanes. El territorio de su tierra asignada estaba localizado entre los descendientes de Judá y los descendientes de José.The first lot came up for the clans of the tribe of Benjamin. Their allotted territory lay between the tribes of Judah and Joseph:

Ahí llegó al desierto de Bet-avén.On the north side their border began at the Jordan, went up past the northern slope of Jericho, headed west through the hill country, and came out at the wilderness of Beth-aven.

Entonces la frontera descendió hasta Atarot-Adar, por la montaña que está al sur de Bet-Horón.From there the border crossed over to the southern slope of Luz (that is, Bethel) and went down to Ataroth-addar on the hill south of Lower Beth-horon.

14La frontera entonces se dirigió en otra dirección: al lado oeste bajó hacia el sur, dirigiéndose a la montaña al frente a Bet-Horón. Esto formó la frontera en el lado oeste.On the west side the border curved southward from the hill facing Beth-horon on the south and came out at Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), a city of the sons of Judah. This was the western side.

15El lado sur empezó justo fuera de Quiriat-Jearim. La frontera iba de ahí a Efrón, al estanque de las aguas de Neftoa.On the south side the border began at the outskirts of Kiriath-jearim and extended westward to the spring at the Waters of Nephtoah.

16La frontera entonces bajó hasta el borde de la montaña que estaba opuesta al valle de Ben-Hinom, el cual estaba al extremo norte del valle de Refaim. Entonces bajó al valle de Hinom, al sur de la ladera de los Jebuseos, y continuó bajando a En-Rogel.Then it went down to the foot of the hill that faces the Valley of Ben-hinnom at the northern end of the Valley of Rephaim and ran down the Valley of Hinnom toward the southern slope of the Jebusites and downward to En-rogel.

17Subió hacia el norte, yendo en dirección de En-semes, y desde ahí salió hacia Geliot, el cual estaba opuesto a la subida de Adumín. Entonces bajó hacia la piedra de Bohán, el hijo de Rubén.From there it curved northward and proceeded to En-shemesh and on to Geliloth facing the Ascent of Adummim, and continued down to the Stone of Bohan son of Reuben.

18Pasó hacia el norte del risco de Bet-arabá y bajó hasta el Arabá.Then it went on to the northern slope of Beth-arabah and went down into the valley.

19La frontera pasó al risco norte de Bet-hogla. La frontera terminó en la bahía norte del Mar Salado, al extremo sur del Jordán. Este fue el límite en el sur.The border continued to the northern slope of Beth-hoglah and came out at the northern bay of the Salt Sea, at the mouth of the Jordan. This was the southern border.

20El Jordán formó su límite en el lado este. Esta fue la herencia de la tribu de Benjamín, y le fue dada a cada uno de sus clanes, límite tras límite, a todo alrededor.On the east side the border was the Jordan. These were the borders around the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Benjamin.

22Bet Arabá, Zemaraim, Betel,Beth-arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,

23Avim, Pará, Ofra,Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,

24Quefar Haamoni, Ofni y Geba. Eran doce ciudades, incluyendo sus aldeas.Chephar-ammoni, Ophni, and Geba—twelve cities, along with their villages.

25También estaban las ciudades de Gabaón, Ramá, Beerot,Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,

26Mizpa, Cafira, Mozah,Mizpeh, Chephirah, Mozah,

27Requem, Irpeel, Tarala,Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,

28Zela, Elef, Jebús (la misma que es Jerusalén), Guibeá y Quiriat. Había catorce ciudades, incluyendo sus aldeas. Esta fue la herencia de Benjamín para sus clanes.Zelah, Haeleph, Jebus (that is, Jerusalem), Gibeah, and Kiriath-jearim—fourteen cities, along with their villages. This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Benjamin.
