1No seas irritado por causa de los malhechores; no tengas envidia de aquellos que actúan injustamente.Of David. Do not fret over those who do evil; do not envy those who do wrong.

2Porque ellos pronto se secarán como la yerba y se marchitarán como las plantas verdes.For they wither quickly like grass and wilt like tender plants.

3Confía en el SEÑOR y haz lo que es bueno; establécete en la tierra y apacienta en fidelidad.Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.

4Entonces deléitate en el SEÑOR y Él te dará los deseos de tu corazón.Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

5Entrégale tus caminos al SEÑOR; confía en Él y Él actuará en tu favor.Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it.

6Él exhibirá tu justicia como la luz del día y tu inocencia como el día al medioda.He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun.

7Está quieto delante del SEÑOR y espera pacientemente por Él. No te enojes si alguien tiene éxito en lo que hace, o cuando hace conspiraciones malvadas.Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men prosper in their ways, when they carry out wicked schemes.

8No te enojes ni te frustres. No te preocupes. Ésto solo crea problemas.Refrain from anger and abandon wrath; do not fret—it can only bring harm.

9Los malhechores serán cortados, pero los que esperan por el SEÑOR heredarán la tierra.For the evildoers will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

10En poco tiempo, el hombre malvado desaparecerá; mirarás su lugar, pero el se habrá ido.Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.

11Pero los mansos heredarán la tierra y se deleitarán en gran prosperidad.But the meek will inherit the land and delight in abundant prosperity.

12El hombre perverso conspira contra el recto y cruje los dientes contra él.The wicked scheme against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them,

13El Señor se ríe de él, porque Él ve que su día está llegando.but the Lord laughs, seeing that their day is coming.

14Los malvados han sacado sus espadas y han tensado sus arcos para derribar al oprimido y al necesitado, para matar a aquellos que son rectos.The wicked have drawn the sword and bent the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.

15Sus espadas atravesarán sus propios corazones y sus arcos serán rotos.But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

16Mejor es lo poco que tiene el justo que la abundancia de muchas personas malvadas.Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many who are wicked.

17Pues las armas de las personas malvadas se romperán, pero el SEÑOR sostiene a las personas justas.For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.

18El SEÑOR vela por los inocentes día tras día y su herencia será para siempre.The LORD knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will last forever.

19Ellos no serán avergonzados cuando los tiempos sean malos. Cuando venga la hambruna, ellos tendrán suficiente para comer.In the time of evil they will not be ashamed, and in the days of famine they will be satisfied.

20Pero los hombres malvados perecerán. Los enemigos del SEÑOR serán como la gloria de los pastos; serán consumidos y desaparecerán en el humo.But the wicked and enemies of the LORD will perish like the glory of the fields. They will vanish; like smoke they will fade away.

21La persona perversa toma prestado pero no devuelve, mas la persona recta es generosa y da.The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous are gracious and giving.

22Aquellos que son bendecidos por Dios heredarán la tierra; aquellos que son maldecidos por Él serán cortados.Surely those He blesses will inherit the land, but the cursed will be destroyed.

23Es por el SEÑOR que los pasos del hombre son establecidos, el hombre cuyo camino es admirable a la vista de Dios.The steps of a man are ordered by the LORD who takes delight in his journey.

24Aunque él tropiece, no caerá, porque el SEÑOR lo está sosteniendo con su mano.Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, for the LORD is holding his hand.

25Yo fui joven y ahora soy viejo; yo nunca he visto a una persona justa abandonada o sus hijos mendigando pan.I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread.

26Durante todo el día él es amable y presta, y sus hijos vienen a ser una bendición.They are ever generous and quick to lend, and their children are a blessing.

27Apártate del mal y haz lo que es bueno; entonces estarás seguro por siempre.Turn away from evil and do good, so that you will abide forever.

28Porque el SEÑOR ama la justicia y no abandona a sus fieles seguidores. Ellos son preservados por siempre, pero los descendientes de los perversos serán cortados.For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake His saints. They are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off.

29Los justos heredarán la tierra y vivirá allí por siempre.The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.

30La boca de la persona justa habla sabiduría y aumenta la justicia.The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.

31La ley de su Dios está en su corazón; sus pies no resbalarán.The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not falter.

32La persona perversa vela a la persona justa y busca cómo matarle.Though the wicked lie in wait for the righteous, and seek to slay them,

33El SEÑOR no lo abandonará a la mano de la persona malvada ni lo condenará cuando sea juzgado.the LORD will not leave them in their power or let them be condemned under judgment.

34Espera por el SEÑOR y guarda Su camino y Él te levantará para poseer la tierra. Verás cuando los malvados sean cortados.Wait for the LORD and keep His way, and He will raise you up to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

35Yo he visto a la persona perversa y aterradora extendida como un árbol verde en su terreno nativo.I have seen a wicked, ruthless man flourishing like a well-rooted native tree,

36Pero cuando pasé nuevamente, él no estaba. Lo busqué pero no pudo ser hallado.yet he passed away and was no more; though I searched, he could not be found.

37Observa el hombre de integridad y fíjate en el recto; hay un buen futuro para un hombre de paz.Consider the blameless and observe the upright, for posterity awaits the man of peace.

38Los pecadores serán totalmente destruidos; el futuro del hombre perverso es cortado.But the transgressors will all be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off.

39La salvación de los justos viene del SEÑOR; Él los protege en los tiempos de problemas.The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their stronghold in time of trouble.

40El SEÑOR les ayuda y los rescata. Él los rescata de los hombres malvados y los salva porque ellos se han refugiado en Él.The LORD helps and delivers them; He rescues and saves them from the wicked, because they take refuge in Him.
