1Desde que somos justificados por fe, tenemos paz con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2Por medio de Él nosotros también tenemos nuestro acceso por la fe en esta gracia en la cual estamos. Nos alegramos en la esperanza que Dios nos da para el futuro, la esperanza que nosotros compartiremos en la gloria de Dios.through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

3No sólo ésto, pero también nos alegramos en nuestro sufrimiento. Nosotros sabemos que el sufrimiento produce resistencia.Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;

4La resistencia produce aprobación, y la aprobación produce esperanza para el futuro.perseverance, character; and character, hope.

5Esta esperanza no decepciona, porque el amor de Dios ha sido derramado en nuestros corazones por medio del Espíritu Santo, quien nos fue dado.And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.

6Mientras aún eramos débiles, en el tiempo preciso Cristo murió por los impíos.For at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

7Pues alguien difícilmente muere por un justo. Es decir, quizás alguien se atreva a morir por una buena persona.Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.

8Pero Dios prueba su amor hacia nosotros, porque mientras aún éramos pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

9Mucho más, ahora que somos justificados por Su sangre, nosotros seremos salvados por ella, de la ira de Dios.Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!

10Pues, mientras éramos enemigos, fuimos reconciliados con Dios por medio de la muerte de Su Hijo, mucho más, despúes de haber sido reconciliados, seremos salvados por Su vida.For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!

11No sólo esto, pero también nosotros nos alegraremos en Dios por medio de nuesto Señor Jesucristo, mediante quien nosostros ahora hemos recibido esta reconciliación.Not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

12Así entonces, por medio de un hombre el pecado entró al mundo, de esta manera la muerte entró a través del pecado. Y la muerte se esparció a todas las gentes, porque todos pecaron.Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.

13Pues hasta la Ley, el pecado estaba en el mundo, pero no cuenta como pecado cuando no hay ley.For sin was in the world before the law was given; but sin is not taken into account when there is no law.

14No obstante, la muerte gobernó desde Adán hasta Moisés, incluso sobre aquellos que no pecaron como la desobediencia de Adán, quien es una figura de aquel que iba a venir.Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who did not sin in the way that Adam transgressed. He is a pattern of the One to come.

15Aún así, el regalo no es como la transgresión. Pues si por la trangresión de uno los muchos murieron, mucho más hizo la gracia de Dios y el regalo por la gracia de un solo hombre, Jesucristo, abunda para los muchos.But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!

16Pues el regalo no es como la consecuencia de aquel quien pecó. Por un lado, el juicio de la condenación vino por causa de la transgresión de un hombre. Pero por otro lado, el regalo resultante en la justificación vino despúes de muchas transgresiones.Again, the gift is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment that followed one sin brought condemnation, but the gift that followed many trespasses brought justification.

17Pues, si por la transgresión de uno, la muerte gobernó a través de uno, mucho más para aquellos quienes reciben la abundancia de la gracia y del regalo de la justicia reina a través de la vida de uno, Jesucristo.For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

18Así pues, mediante una transgresión toda la gente vino a condenación, incluso mediante un acto de justicia vino la justificación de vida para todas la gente.So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men.

19Pues mediante la desobediencia de un hombre los muchos fueron hechos pecadores, aún así mediante la obediencia de aquel muchos vendrán a ser justificados.For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

20Pero la Ley vino después, para que la transgresíon abunde. Pero donde el pecado abundó, la gracia abundó mucho más.The law came in so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more,

21Esto ocurrió tal que, como el pecado gobernó en muerte, aún así, la gracia gobierne por medio de la justicia para la vida eterna mediante Jesucristo nuestro Señor.so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
