3. 3EWEMina míatrɔ ɖe Yehowa ŋu. Mina míadze agbagba be míanyae, eye abe ale si ɣedzedze kple kelemetsi medana le edzi o ene la, nenema ke kakaɖedzi li be magbe tɔtɔ na mí o.”BSBBSB: So let us know—let us press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the earth.
4. 4EWE“O, Efraim, nu ka mawɔ na wò, O, Yuda, nu ka mawɔ kpli wò?BSBBSB: What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? For your loyalty is like a morning mist, like the early dew that vanishes.
5. 5EWEMedɔ nye nyagblɔɖilawo ɖa, wolã mi kakɛkakɛe, eye metsɔ nye numenyawo wu mii; nye ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ ake dzo ɖe mia dzi abe dzikedzo ene,BSBBSB: Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of My mouth, and My judgments go forth like lightning.
6. 6EWEelabena nublanuikpɔkpɔ dim mele, menye vɔsa o, eye sidzedze Mawu dim mele wu numevɔsawo,BSBBSB: For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

Nunɔlawo ƒe hawo hã de xa ɖe Sekem mɔ dzi le amewo wum, eye wole nu vɔ̃ ƒomevi ɖe sia ɖe wɔm.BSBBSB: Like raiders who lie in ambush, so does a band of priests; they murder on the way to Shechem; surely they have committed atrocities.
10. 10EWENyateƒe, mekpɔ nu dziŋɔwo le Israel. Efraim wɔ ahasi to mawu bubuwo yometiti me, eye Israel ya bliba ɖe ŋunyɔnu me.BSBBSB: In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing: Ephraim practices prostitution there, and Israel is defiled.
11. 11EWE“O, Yuda, woɖo nuŋeɣi ɖi na wò hã. “Ne megaɖo nye dukɔ ƒe nunyonamewo te,BSBBSB: Also for you, O Judah, a harvest is appointed, when I restore My people from captivity.
